This delightful house is tucked away in a grove of trees overlooking the Vermont Saltpan,which is a bird sanctuary. Recent solar panels on the roof feed into a battery and inverter system. Loadshedding is no longer an issue. This tastefully furnished, four bedroom home, is fully equipped caters for upto 8 guests. The perfect place to getaway from it. The Saltpan is fed only by rainfall and run-off from the mountains and in years when there has been low rainfall the pan often dries out.

What a memorable stay in Hermanus, made more so by Marinda. Location was ideal. Quiet yet close to everything. The cottage was in a beautiful setting as Marinda's garden is breathtaking. Odie and I felt completely at home in the cottage, including interaction with neighbors! Marinda is a kind soul, always looking out for me and Odie. Cannot wait to visit again during whale season!

We had such a lovely stay in Wayne and Dallia's place in Hermanus! It is a charming vacation home, filled with travel books and other interesting resources on their plentiful shelves. They provided fresh fruit and even a bottle of wine as a welcome! The house includes a private back garden with gorgeous bougainvillea flowers, as well as a front garden with a little fire-pit. The MBR balcony looks directly out over the ocean, with incredible views of the crashing waves -- which lulled us to sleep each night. We would love to come back! THANK YOU for such a gorgeous, peaceful stay!

Nazneen and her family were amazing hosts, making our long weekend stay incredibly pleasant. The cottage was clean, stylish, and had everything we needed, including ample bathroom towels and a fully equipped kitchen. The braai stand came with all the necessary items. The sound of the waves added to the relaxing atmosphere. Nazneen even lent us beach toys for the kids and a bicycle to keep them entertained. I’d definitely come back!

We had a lovely stay at Mario’s, the space was perfect for my husband and I and our toddler. Great private patio with bbq and lovely master bedroom with sofa in it. Kitchen was small but fine for us. Mario was an excellent host - very responsive and helpful but never intrusive. Location was a walk to the coast path, one local restaurant and fernkloof, but otherwise a short drive into town / main beaches so car was recommended. Thanks for a very happy holiday, we’d definitely return :)

Beautiful spot. Ocean one side, mountains the other. The mountains were a lot closer than I was expecting and were so beautiful. The nearby lake is also walking distance and the kids loved it and it was great for training in. The house was lovely - lots of space and felt very open. The blinds are fantastic for helping to sleep in. The washing machine is a great addition. Dawie was climbing Kilimanjaro, but made sure we had an alternative contact but he even kept in touch from the mountain - he is a great host. We loved the homely feel and the family history evident in the home. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Where to begin! What an incredible stay - can't rate it highly enough. Sally has really gone the extra length to make this a family friendly stay with so many thoughtful touches for young children (my 2 year old had the time of his life). The space itself was spacious, well equipped and we so enjoyed exploring the farm and interacting with the animals. The wonderful Chisomo was a highlight, showing us around and engaging with my toddler - he really made our stay! The location is peaceful and perfectly located for exploring nearby Gansbaai and Stanford, to name a few. Can't wait to come back!

You don’t often get to interact with the owner, and sometimes you may not want to. But this is not one of those times. And it’s a double whammy as Paul is also the former wine maker and great connoisseur. And a really welcoming guy on top of that. And he has super friendly dogs! And the way he talks about how they converted the farm from apples to vines. Plenty of ANDs… That baton passed to his son and he is doing an amazing job, the Chardonnay is something else. Nikki made our stay with her sense of humor and the way she treated my mother. Definitely a place that welcomes you.
