The rooftop terrace makes the apartment feel special and unique. Amazing views up there! Luis was a friendly and helpful host. He spent a lot of time answering our questions about Oaxaca and explaining the local history. He's a great guy. The location is slightly outside of the touristy areas, but it's an easy walk, and we actually enjoyed staying in a more local neighborhood away from the hotels and bars. We would happily return to Luis' apartment in the future. No problems at all.

Luis was friendly and helpful. The apartment has everything you need for a long stay including the kitchen where you can cook, etc.., and the living room with a nice couch and a tv with Netflix. The apartment has two bedrooms upstairs with a shared small bathroom. The bathroom might be a little small if you are a tall person since the toilet space is kind of small, I would say if you’re 6 feet or taller you may have issues with the toilet, other than that, the space is nice overall and it’s what I expected for what we paid.

Comfortable apartment, clean, well located, a few blocks from the zocalo, the air conditioning works perfectly, as well as the rest of the appliances, not noisy, nice view from the roof.

Big house with big garage very centric .

the place is as described, well located, clean, Edith is u very attentive and attentive to what we needed and also made us excellent recommendations to know places in the City, it has a very nice garden and the stay is a cozy place, I would stay in this place again!

Alejandro was a superb host! The place was clean and had EVERYTHING we needed with extra amenities. The location was convenient and walkable to everything. We had to change our check-in date and Alejandro was accommodating. I would book my next stay here in a heartbeat.

Nice host, cute place

Casa Azul is a very good Airbnb stay for a family or group seeking to explore Oaxaca and the surrounding region. It is located in the lovely and quiet neighborhood of Xochimilco, a pleasant and mostly downhill 15 min walk to Centro. It’s a unique property with the opportunity to enjoy your morning coffee/ breakfast and your evening cocktail with a stunning rooftop view of the mountains from your outdoor kitchen/ living space. There are wonderful bakeries and chocolate shops close by, as well as the Michelin listed restaurant Ancestral, just next door. Ruben, Niz and Jazmine were responsive hosts, both promptly resolving any issues that arose and providing helpful recommendations. In particular, Ruben recommended Anuar as a guide. Anuar was excellent, taking us on a whole day tour of Teotitlán del Valle (textiles), Matatlan (mezcal) and Hierve el Agua (swimming and waterfalls) -- and a delicious lunch at the local market in Tlacolula.

Ximena's place felt like staying at a friend's beloved home.There's a relaxed, comfy vibe, as shown in the photos, but actually being there, is hard to find words for. It's just very special. Both my friend and I cherished our time there. Some words of advice, pack in your favorite foods, coffee, granola, there's only a small bodega down the road, and frankly once you've landed, you won't wanna leave. The first night Jhonny gave us the name of a wonderful local woman who on relatively short notice prepared us a lovely, healthy meal. Or, venture out to the small restaurant in the village. We ate delicious quesadillas made with fresh tortillas. On hikes, we were told to carry a stick to deter dogs. We never used them but good advice for anyone walking on country roads in Mexico. The dogs we saw were sun sleeping in the middle of the roads. Like I said, it's a good relaxing spot. We loved using the washing machine and hanging our clothes out to dry. We got emotional leaving.

Very clean, with all the amenities, bathrooms in each room, and above all the house is very nice and comfortable, excellent stay.

What a lovey spot for our family to gather and have a home base as we explored Oaxaca. It was perfect for us and we loved our time there. Mariana was helpful in her recommendations and there was never a need to contact her during our stay as the home provided everything we needed. It was also so very nice to have Raquel to clean for us and Efrain to manage the pool and outdoor spaces. We highly recommend this spot for travel to Oaxaca.

Very friendly and attentive, the place is very nice and very well equipped. I highly recommend it. I would only recommend caution in rainy weather since the common area is outdoors.

I would happily stay here again! The location is quiet and short walking distance to all the restaurants in town. Oaxaca is an old rustic city & the house reflects the rustic aesthetic of the city. The house is a sleeper from the exterior. Once inside you see the biggest selling point of this house--4 separate spaces for guests to hang out. The kitchen is the central hub. The courtyard is green with vegetation and hummingbirds. The terrace overlooks the city and is amazing. Also on the 2nd floor is a sun deck and 2 person pool. The 3 bedrooms are spacious and 3 bathrooms are plenty. Master bedroom has ensuite bathroom and other large bedroom has bathroom just two steps away. The many gathering areas beat a hotel any day. Mari managed the property while we were there and you can arrange for in home prepared meals. Nothing short of AMAZING. Her mole equaled the Michelin star restaurants in town. We did tours with Zapotec Travel, which were great.

Nice place , well maintained, spacious, close to downtown Oaxaca, markets, and restaurants.

For those that only read the first line of reviews , simply put we found this home perfect. Now if you are still reading we will tell you that the attention we received from our host was top notch. Constanza and Clara communicated through the app so well . When we wanted a more personal communication they meet us face to face. . We learned so much about the culture of the city and some spots we would never of found in a guide book or google searches. The home itself was as described and the plants throughout the courtyard were beautiful and soothing. Picking this location for your trip is something you will not regret

Quiet place, Andrea is always friendly and helpful in communication. A little tiring to go up because it's on the 4th floor, but nothing that will bother you. Comfortable, safe.

The place is cozy, the space is good for 4 people and Miriam was always attentive to everything.

Good location. Since there are many rented Airbnbs, there are a lot of people coming and going. It has what you need. Pay attention to the multiple key boxes so as not to get confused. The color of the keys doesn't match the description either. Everything was good with the place and comfort.
