This is a great place to stay! We came from Philadelphia and didn’t know much about the area, but this place is in a better part of Oakland and felt safe! Plus, the host is very responsive and helps get supplies you need and local recommendations. Ideal Airbnb experience!

This is a great place to stay, full stop. It can be very hard to find a centrally located, ultra-quiet, comfortable and safe place that is also walkable to campus in Berkeley. I was able to do focused research here during the day and at night. Easy stroll down to the Elmwood cafes and restaurants or up past Monkey Island Park to Claremont Canyon -- all through beautiful Berkeley neighborhoods. Living space is very cozy with views out to the towering redwoods in the yard. Off-street parking spot. Looks exactly as depicted in the pictures. Robert was responsive and available if there were any issues, but there weren't any.

5 stars! A Perfect Stay in Walnut Creek! Our family truly enjoyed every moment of our stay at Alexander’s place. The home was not only spotless and comfortable, but also thoughtfully stocked with every amenity you could need—from extra trash bags to toothbrushes, floss picks, and cotton swabs. Everything was arranged in such a convenient, intuitive way that it felt less like a typical guest room and more like a home someone genuinely lives in with care. We appreciated the ease of free parking right in front of the garage, and Alexander’s warm communication throughout. He lives downstairs, so he was always available and checked in from time to time to make sure everything was going smoothly and answered all questions that we had for local places. Taking out the trash was super easy, and having a washer and dryer available was a big plus for a longer stay. This place was not just clean and cozy,it was smartly set up for real comfort. We would absolutely love to stay here again!

I loved Albina's place. It was so perfect for what we were looking for. It was cute, easy to find, easy parking and just so lovely. The highlight was the view. The bedroom window looked out to the city and the ocean. We never even turned the TV on since the view from the bed was just spectacular. We literally just watched the ocean and boats going by as the sunset before our eyes. The moon then came out and we went to bed just staring out at the sky. I hope to be able to stay here again. It was such a magical retreat.

Cute little unit that was very clean when we arrived. Bed was very comfy and we had a great little trip!

Smell of roses. Cotton sheets and linens - my favorite. Comfy bed. Windows can open and let in fresh air. Peaceful getaway from family - morning coffee with surrounding nature to naps. I love the beautiful neighborhood. Although we didn't do it this time, it's an easy walk to a cute town with great breakfast. Just perfect for us

We came in town for a wedding in Berkeley and were so fortunate to find Jason's place as there was nothing available near the venue. It was only for an overnight stay for five people and a dog and it was absolutely perfect. Check in was after 4:00 p.m. yet the wedding started at 5:00. We asked Jason if we could arrive a little early to get ready and he responded quickly with a yes. That was a definitely life saver! His place was clean, spacious, and even had a backyard and a garage space for the car. We would definitely recommend Jason's place!

Great place for my 1 year old and I to stay while visiting friends and family in the bay.

Yeshi's home is a museum of colorful artwork from her travels around the world. Wonderful to be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves.

We had a great stay at Jillian’s place in Walnut Creek. The location was convenient, and the home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Jillian was a responsive host, making our visit smooth and enjoyable. We’d definitely recommend staying here!

I am so grateful for my stay in Dylan And Alex's place! It was clean, safe, quiet, easy to check in, and easy to check out. I was able to walk everywhere - grocery, restaurants, and all types of stores within walking distance. Dylan and Alex are so friendly and proactive to be helpful. Great location and very comfortable space. The kitchen was nicely stocked with utensils to make cooking easy. There's a dedicated parking spot right in front of the unit, if you have a tall or long vehicle like a truck it might not fit in the spot and there are limited uncovered spaces to park. The AC is in the living room and doesn't get back to the bedroom very well which isn't a problem unless it's a really hot day. There was one day that was 90°F and the bedroom didn't cool off. The living room and couch are comfortable and a nice spot to unwind.

The location and space was perfect for our needs! Clean, and larger than we expected from the photos. We especially enjoyed the hot tub/gazebo and the balcony.

Shea’s place was beautiful and spacious for our family of 5. Check in was easy and Shea was very responsive to all my questions about the home and neighborhood. We took full advantage of the backyard with hot tub and ping pong when we needed a break from sightseeing. There was a fair amount of noise from neighbors and the street in the front of the house. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely loved everything about Eurydice's space. So elegant in its simplicity, and clearly prioritizing coziness and livability. She's thought of so many touches that made it all the more welcoming: extra throws and blankets, a fan and heater in the closet in case you need a temperature adjustment, a night light in the bathroom, super comfy seating and bed. All this set in a gorgeous garden that's very convenient to public transportation and very walkable to boot. On top of all that, Eurydice was a great host: very responsive, warm, and welcoming, even though I never ran into her while we were there. This place really felt like home away from home, and the most difficult part was getting myself to leave! :)

Cory's place was absolutely beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. Everything was spotlist clean. Bed and couch were extremely comfortable. The area was so fun. We will definitely be back.

Monica's place was very comfortable and clean. The bed was soft but not too soft. I slept well! The bathroom was also clean and the shower was nice. I did not use the kitchen much as I was only there overnight, but it was also clean, and there was a carafe of cool water in the refrigerator. The chairs in the living room are very comfortable!

The place was very nice. We have kids & grandkids in the Bay Area and like to visit as often as possible. The place was clean and comfortable but most of all very welcoming. And Ramil reached out to make sure our needs were met. If the need arises we would definitely stay there again

Very clean, very quiet. Did feel like one was at the edge of a forest. Comfortable. Good wifi.

This was my second time staying at Karen's place and it was an absolute dream. Karen's place has all you need to live like a local in Oakland. The location was super convenient, and everything I could need was on hand. I can't recommend Karen's place enough, it's a wonderful home base.

The studio was bigger than expected! It was super cute and we had a great time staying there. Checking in/out was easy and the location had plenty of parking. Super close walking distance to BART and the AC transit buses. Would stay here again!

Sheila‘s place is exactly as advertised. Very clean and includes everything you would need. Very quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Chase’s place was exactly as described. I really appreciated all the thoughtful touches, like labels for WiFi, extra toiletries and even a few office supplies. I was very happy & surprised to find two luggage racks. Chase even accommodated an extremely late check-in, due to my train being delayed four hours. There’s no question that I would stay here again. I wish I could’ve stayed longer!

We recently returned from a ten day stay at Jamie’s place; we can report the following: Simply stated, one of the nicest Airbnbs we have stayed in & we have stayed in many around the world (Berlin, Copenhagen, Cape Town). The apartment is spacious, nicely appointed with apparently new appliances, including a stackable washer/dryer; and it is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants & coffee shops (Glenview). It is an excellent place to stay and we hope to return soon! A quick note: if you are a senior and/or have mobility issues, accessing the unit requires a climb up a steep set of stairs.
