Family-friendly vacation rentals in Nosara

Appartement pratique pour 2 couples. Nous avions 2 chambres et une cuisine séparés. L'environnement était confortable. Il y avait beaucoup de règles à suivre sur un peu tous les aspects, ce qui rend probablement l'endroit aussi propre. Nous n'avons pas rencontré les hôtes, mais ils ont été très proactifs dans leurs réponses quand nous avons eu des besoins et/ou des problèmes. Séjour très agréable.

Ellos fueron muy amables y atentos, siempre pendientes a nosotros, el lugar tiene vistas hermosas, disfrutamos demasiado los atardeceres desde la casa, alejado de la bulla de la ciudad, mucha naturaleza la vista al mar es una maravilla, las camas súper ricas, la cocina con todo para preparar alimentos, los baños muy limpios y agradables!!! Gracias por recibirnos!

Es un lugar hermoso la casa es muy espaciosa, bien equipada con todo lo que necesitas y más, además la piscina siempre está limpia. Hay mucha tranquilidad y cero ruido desde el tercer piso tienes una vista increíble, debes de considerar que las playas si están un poco alejadas y los caminos no están en muy buen estado. Gerardo su Administrator es muy amable y siempre está atento a lo que necesites. En fin toda mi familia disfruto mucho, esperamos regresar.

Family of 4, loved our stay. Good location near beach and town, kids had a great time in pool, backyard was a perfect place to relax, house had everything we needed. Hosts were very responsive and helpful.

We were so fortunate to be able to stay at Pascale’s beautiful villa. Exactly as shown / described but in person it will absolutely take your breath away! We enjoyed the most relaxing week here. Pascale’s villa has everything you need and the small town of Samara was only a couple minutes drive away to get groceries, or enjoy the beach, restaurants and shops. The villa itself is very private but within a small neighborhood community where we felt very safe. Between Pascale, the local house manager and the info centre contact we were provided, the trip planning and finding what we needed (transportation, etc.) was very smooth and easy. We felt well taken care of and they were all extremely helpful and responsive.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Luna. It was very clean, well equipped, and very comfortable inside and out. Sitting on the porch in the morning was so relaxing. Beautiful trees and flowering shrubs, birds singing, and cooling shade. It is literally a two minute walk to the beautiful pool just across the way. A very convenient spot to go to the beach...Playa Blanca, Playa Negra, and Playa Avenella a short drive. Several very good restaurants just down the road. We found everyone to be so welcoming and helpful during our time in Junquiall. We are hoping to get back to Costa Rica soon and would be very lucky if we are able to stay at Casa Luna on our next trip. Thank you Georgina!

You already know that the house (and the view from its windows and balconies) is beautiful, from looking at the photos. What you don't know yet is how it feels to inhabit it. There were three of us on this trip - my wife, my son and me - but it felt like there were four of us, because the house was such a constant, soothing, almost living presence. The floating ceilings, the invisible walls, the howler monkeys in the trees, the parrots and hummingbirds, the halloween crabs scuttling around the paths, the soft roar of the sea, the flow of warm air through open windows, the cool sanctuaries of the pool and the air-conditioned bedrooms... it's all there with you. And it was blissful. On a practical note, the shore near the property is sort of interesting at low tide, but - for us, at least - not worth more than one visit. But Playa Carrillo, only a five-minute drive, is vast, lovely and amazingly free of crowds. And Samara is a pleasantly scruffy, lively beach town 15 minutes away.

The home was very clean and spacious with everything you need to enjoy your stay. There's a nice bar and restaurant on site with very friendly staff. Would definitely return in the future.

My family of four spent a lovely week at Diego‘s home. The view is fantastic. Lisbeth was always there when we needed her. Proximity to the beach was perfect. We enjoyed the pool which was clean and just the right size. Diego helped us make reservations at Don Ramiro’s on our last night, something I cannot recommend enough.

We are a small family returning to Nosara for our third time. This location was a nice little haven with all the amenities we needed. There was plenty of space to relax and hang out in. It’s a short walk to the beach and town and very nicely located. The place is nicely decorated and well taken care of and matches the photos on the listing. The communication from the hosts were great and their contact in town is very kind and hospitable. We would stay here again.

Stayed at Chris's treehouse for a month over the holidays and had an amazing time. The outdoor area on the second floor is a beautiful place to hang out anytime of the day and made you feel like you're right in the jungle. There was a great local soda and Chris's place is super close to several fantastic beaches. Highly recommend Chris's place for a long or short stay. Thanks for everything Chris

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Drei traumhafte Monate in diesem wunderschönen Haus! Die Ruhe war himmlisch und die Lage direkt am Meer unschlagbar - fast täglich sind wir schwimmen gegangen. Die Aufteilung des Hauses war perfekt für uns. Und das Privileg in so einem Haus zu wohnen war für uns aussergewöhnlich. Danke Roxana. Als Gastgeberin warst du sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hast alles wunderbar organisiert. Diese fantastischen Wochen werden unvergesslich bleiben und wir wollen gerne wiederkommen!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Halfway through our stay we were planning our return trip. Fantastic, simple place minutes by foot to the beach. It's in a great little neighborhood with incredibly friendly people, good food, surfing rentals and instruction, and a fantastic beach. I have to say the food is a bit expensive but that is the only small gripe I would have. If you are frugal like we are stop at a supermercado on the way there, load up, and just enjoy this wonderful town. And definitely try the banana coffee . . .

We had a wonderful stay at Pia’s place. Her parents, Gabby and Federico, were great hosts and responsive to all requests. We stayed for 3 months and got to know the area, many of the neighbors, neighborhood dogs, and establishments in Carrillo. The place is in a very convenient location. It’s a walkable distance to everything in Carrillo y la playa. The adjacent forest is typically filled with howler monkeys, iguanas, and a diversity of birds. The house and pool were great. They needed regular maintenance as everything does in this environment, but the owners were typically right on it. Recommended accommodation.

Huber was a wonderful host. He was super responsive when we had questions. We loved staying here. The deck overlooking the jungle is fabulous and the swings make it so wonderful! It was beautiful sitting out there for morning coffee and meditation, naps and evening star and moon gazing. The Chalet was very clean and the staff came each week to clean, change the sheets/ towels which we really appreciated. There's a path that you can walk to the beach so you don't have to get into your car. The Saturday Farmers Market is great and during the week we were able to get what we needed from the bodega in the center of town. We will definitely be back

Great house for a family. Kids loved it. We loved hanging out on the patio. You need a car for this location with a family.

Great location only a stroll to the gilded iguana and many other great spots. Place felt very big and more than enough for 2 kids and 2 adults. Would and definitely am staying again! Simone also made it very easy to have a car waiting at the airport for us and arrange any thing we needed to make the trip seamless.

Beautiful home and very comfortable stay! Well shaded and a nice retreat from the midday sun. Location was perfect - quiet but very close to beach, town and amenities. If you plan on cooking, be sure to bring or purchase cooking basics (salt pepper etc) as was not available in the home.

This place was more than we could have hoped for. Åsa’s place is beautiful, thoughtfully decorated and is full of character. It is incredibly private despite having neighbors nearby. What stood out the most was the view. We all spent our mornings sitting outside, soaking it in. Grateful to have had this place to share an unforgettable week in Nosara with friends.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house in Nosara. We were two families totaling seven people (4 adults and 3 kids) and had plenty of space. The outdoor space is beautiful and spacious. It’s a quick walk to the beach and is in the heart of Nosara close to shops and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked as well.

I had the most incredible stay in Sámara, and this was primarily thanks to the host, Balto. He always checked in with me to make recommendations, and looked out for my safety as a female solo traveler. The property Balto and Marisela have created is a jungle oasis, private and filled with friendly cats, dogs, and occasionally howler monkeys! Even better, the house is located just a few minutes walk from the beach and main street. If you're afraid of mosquitoes, it is best to bring a bug net for your bed because they do get in. There's no AC but the fans work well to keep you cool at night. One night I was kept up by the howler monkeys above, but honestly, this elevated the Costa Rican experience! I stayed in the one-bedroom attached to Balto's house, which worked very well as a solo traveler but I wouldn't recommend it for couples looking for privacy. He has other rooms on the property that would be better suited for couples! I hope to go back to stay with Balto, I highly recommend!!

Our stay in Nosara was absolutely perfect! The property is stunning, with gorgeous common areas that make it easy to relax and soak in the tropical vibes. The path to the beach is incredible—just a short walk through beautiful nature, where we spotted amazing wildlife along the way. The location couldn’t be better—so close to the beach, yet also just a short walking distance from great restaurants and shops. We loved biking through the maritime forest, exploring the area, and taking in the natural beauty all around. The pool is one of the best we’ve experienced, thoughtfully set up for a seamless transition from the beach. Beyond the incredible setting, our stay was comfortable, safe, and truly rejuvenating. It warmed our bones and our hearts, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this special place!

Stayed here for a couple of weeks while working on a project in Nosara. The home was great and was easy enough to make into home especially when the rain comes in and you don’t want to risk going through the streams. The beach is very close with surfers each day and has a restaurant to get some fruit smoothies for those nutrients. Everything with the house works well and the rooms have AC for those hotter nights. The kitchen was of good use as well as the bbq grill outside. The rain that comes by pretty hard at times does cause some leakage to be mindful of but luckily nothing that made me worried about my stuff or sleep. This was a great place for us while we were in CR and we will be looking back to it when the time comes again. We also found out that one of our friends stayed here a few years ago too!!

We LOVED this airbnb. It was so relaxing! Relaxing on the hammocks was incredible and the space is so nice and airy. Although there was a lack of air-conditioning which we were a little worried about, it wasn't unbearable. Anytime we were hot, we just wet our heads and were fine (last week of April). The beach is a very short walk away and so was all of town. We rented a car but didn't need one. Highly recommend going to the farmers market on Saturday (easy to find on Google). Also, we followed the recommendation to check out C&C surfing (right past Gusto Beach restaurant, behind the volleyball court). We had so much learning to surf! Private lessons for a family of four was only $200 and included a rental 2 more times to practice. Had a great time chilling at El Ancla after, very good food and drinks for cheap. Thanks for a great stay!
