What an exceptional extraordinary place! A absolutely stunning and beautiful log cabin with some of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. Jan, the host is the best!

I loved staying here, what a beautiful place and so private on 400 acres of private forest. Coming from the city it felt so amazing to have peace. The place was so thoughtful and was a great place for us to stay while skiing locally. Julie was so nice, my kids are obsessed with chickens and she let us feed them and collect eggs 🥚 our stay was magical. The stars were so bright at night and the owls were the only sound along with the running stream, in the morning the sunrise was gorgeous with a cup of coffee and listening to the birds chirp. Will definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our visit. It was just as shown in the photos, only better! Very comfy, loved the animals, and we slept so well. I highly recommend staying here when in the La Grande area.

This place feels like home as soon as you step inside. Old Time Hawkey and his doggos would love it here. So many thoughtful additions that go beyond just asthetics and really encourage you to be in the moment, dip your toes in nostalgia, and enjoy those simple things that we don’t usually take the time to appreciate. This is more than just a weekend rental - it’s a chance to share what I’m sure Betty loved about living here. Thanks Betty and we absolutely will plan a second trip here! We will miss walking up Pine Creek Lane along the creek and watching the sun set.
