Kid-friendly vacation rentals in North Coast

This was the perfect place for our family vacation with my adult children. We had the best trip spending quality time together , enjoying the property. We can't wait to visit again. The home was perfect and the extra touches made this one of the best airbnbs I have ever stayed at. The hosts made everyone feel at home and where so nice answering all our questions and I am forever grateful for this experience.

What an amazing place!! The view was as amazing as the house. Very clean, such a spectacular view. Beds were very comfortable, easy access to park and get into the house. The extra amenities with the house were an added bonus! If I’m ever in the area again would definitely stay again! Host was extremely helpful and very responsive!

We had a wonderful vacation at Joanna’s place! Ocean views are incredible, hot tub was amazing, private beach that is a less than a minute drive to the private beach access! The private beach was incredible! So many seal 🦭 pups, anemones, starfish, crabs, and more! We love this area and continue to come back to visit! We stayed 7 nights here and felt like home. We brought our old cat with us and he settled in nicely. Kitchen had great appliances and supplies to use! Lots of cute small towns and excellent hiking/walking trails to explore! This was a wonderful family vacation that our son was absolutely loving especially private beach for exploring. We explored several recommendations from Joanna’s manual that were awesome. She was also quick to respond and be helpful! We highly recommend coming to stay at Joanna’s home for beautiful relaxation and fun exploration! Thank you so much! 😊

This place is literally heaven on earth! Love the views, all the amenities and how comfortable the house is. The decor is amazing! The books, the telescopes, the coffee, the bottle of wine, the beds and pillows are comfortable. My favorite part is to watch the stars from the jacuzzi! Also, reading books from anywhere outside or inside. Love the linens, towels provided. You can easily relax inside or outside. The weather was perfect! We have come before when is windy and this time we had no wind so it was perfect! Cannot wait to be back!

When we arrived we were delighted with the location and the unmatched view!!!! Everything was clean & inviting. Roomy but cozy. Great kitchen to prepare meals & of course, cocktails! Beds were comfy after a soak in the relaxing hot tub. We will be back!! This place is a gem!!! The house is on a cliff overlooking the rocky California coast, with easy access from the road and only about 20 minutes of scenic highway south of Mendocino. The house is very comfortable with many windows with views of the ocean. There are also many extra touches including binoculars, strategically placed rugs, robes, an electric tea kettle (thanks), cushions for all the upright chairs, and very comfortable sofas - very thoughtful! Wonderful deck with incredible ocean views. House very clean, great WiFi, etc. Clear instructions and good communications from owner. Especially appreciated the excellent suggestions for state parks, beaches, and other places to visit, as well as groceries and restaurants. A welcome respite - very highly recommended!

So grateful to have found this little gem right outside the park. Comfortable house, friendly hosts. Definitely will stay again.

We loved our stay at Abalone Cove! It was such a beautiful location, peaceful and enjoyed the jacuzzi overlooking the ocean.

Lynn’s property & place is beyond beautiful & such a peaceful setting. A perfect place for a couple to relax & reconnect. Lynn was very welcoming….we even had a bottle of local wine waiting for us on arrival. Such a nice touch! The view & grounds are lovely. We enjoyed most going out exploring & returning here for a quiet evening looking out the windows to this quiet & breathtaking pastoral setting.

Very responsive and all as said. It's in nature but only about a 15 min drive to town. A great spot for then going hiking, or relaxing.

our way was great, we only stayed a day but I had stayed longer i would have enjoyed more of the great amenities. Host was communicative and checked in on us via messenger. glad the location was out of main hustle and bustle but only a 15 minute drive if you wanted to get food or a store. would recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay. The Airbnb was so clean and peaceful, it was exactly what we needed on our roadtrip. Deborah has made the place truly feel like a home, the towels were soft and fully, the robs were a great surprise and we were so happy to find whole been coffee with a grinder. All the little touches made us feel calm and comfortable.

We loved our two nights at Amy’s place with our two pups! I wish we would have planned to stay longer, there was a lot more to explore in the area! It was SO clean. We usually feel like we need to re-clean just to feel ok in Airbnb’s but Amy’s place felt like we were staying at a friend’s place that we trusted. The homemade delivered muffins were a treat and she gave us some awesome local recommendations. The bed was comfortable and it was super quiet!

i had a great stay at treys place. he was quick the with responses answered all my questions. it was private, well cleaned, and easy to find.

this was a great location to everywhere we wanted to visit. the apartment didn't even feel like a part of the house when there, it was secluded and private. super clean as well.

This listing was a great location for exploring the redwoods! The cute exterior is matched on the interior. Comfy living space and fairly equipt kitchen! Would recommend for anyone who needs a place that’s a drivable distance to exploring the surrounding areas.

I highly recommend staying at Gillian’s place in Mill Valley. My friends and I truly enjoyed our girls weekend there. The place is gorgeous, beautifully decorated and very clean. Gillian provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. I will definitely stay again in the future. We really loved the location!

Terrific place. Attractive, super clean and comfortable and looked like the photos. It had a very pretty style and was well-maintained. Great location for walking downtown.

Great stay at Villa Murialdo! The house was perfect for our needs and conveniently located. We didn’t realize what a great location this house was until we were there. It was a very easy walk to town, or along the river. The information and recommendations that we got from Scott and Rebecca were great resources. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we were in the area again.

We loved visiting Whitethorn. Great getaway! The condo was pristine. It had all the necessary amenities. The cleaning staff is on-site in the morning and able to help you out with anything you need restocked. We loved searching the tide pools, spotting deer along the beach, and watching the sea lions on the rocks. Shelter Cove beach is also a 10 minute walk. My kids got in the water, but the weather (even for June) was too cold for me. We stopped at the lighthouse and the volunteer was so kind. Restaurants we tried were excellent within a mile of the condo. We did not realize how secluded this location is along the Lost Coast. You will not have cell service. There is one way in and one way out, about a 30 minute drive up and down a mountain - note: put your car in 2nd gear on the way down! If you plan on cooking, bring food with you. There are two small general stores, one is walking distance from the condo and one is about a 10 minute drive, but both are minimally stocked.

The absolute perfect choice for our stay in Napa! The condo was clean, quiet and so comfortable. Debbie went above and beyond with her suggestions, communication throughout and even stocked the fridge with many breakfast goodies for us - an unexpected surprise!

great quiet spot. close to town where you could easily walk to many places. the place was very cozy and the porch was great in the evening for a last glass of wine. the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. they were responsive and gave lots of options for the area. the price is great for this area of California. would absolutely stay again.
