Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Nore og Uvdal Municipality

A simply wonderful place to enjoy the Norwegian upland, with ski trails from the door, super floor heating, warm historic vibe, and a comfy couch. It has two tables that seat six, a kitchen with tools, utensils and servingware to cook for a crowd of 12 (or more) and serve them coffee and wine, and a dishwasher for cleanup. It’s very well-equipped—like visiting an aunt with one of everything—so there was a right-sized ski pole when we broke one, an extra pulk and harness, plastic sleds for a small army of children, extra ski wax and tools, and the mudroom has long benches for booting on/off, and tons of hooks for hanging outerwear. When wood for the fireplace ran low, Bengt responded quickly.and had it delivered. There are tons of books in the Nordic languages as well as English on many topics including the local area and beyond. The market in Ustaoset is a short walk/ski, and Geilo was easy to reach by bus, train, or taxi for stores, dining, or a downhill ski. Love. This. Place.

Great apartment that is even nicer than in the pictures. Compact at the same time as it felt spacious with a really nice view over the mountains and some spectacular sunrises. We stayed a family of four and went both downhill and cross country, with great conditions to do both right at the doorstep. Information by host was very thorough, and appreciated in particular the detailed Google docs with pictures and instructions on everything worth knowing about the apartment. We would be happy to return for a future holiday!

Nydelig og romslig leilighet midt i smørøyet på Kikut. Alt var rent og pent, en velutrustet leilighet og veldig trivelig vert. Vi følte oss som hjemme, og hadde en strålende påske med skibakker og løyper rett utenfor døren. Herlig å sitte på uteplassen i vårsolen etter endt skitur!

Great place right next to the slopes, like 5 meters. Balocony is pretty much on top of the kids slope which was great for us with small kids. The sauna door on the picture was unfortunately not a sauna anymore. But other than that great bedrooms and kitchen and common area. We were 3 families and it worked out great. Recommended 👍

Vi hadde noen veldig fine dager i Uvdal.

Hurtigt svar og fleksibel med ændret ankomst. Hytten lå tæt på pisterne og det var muligt at parkere vores bil i garage.

Vi har absolut intet at sætte på Steffen som vært eller den fantastiske lejlighed som vi nød til fulde. Steffen var super proaktiv, svarede hurtigt og stod klar med råd, vejledning og guidance til området og boligen samt skiskole m.m. Lejligheden var fantastisk, både inde og ude område. Det var ekstra vigtigt at vi havde et dejligt sted at opholde os, da vejret ikke rigtig var med os. Vi havde meget vind i den uge vi var der, hvilket resulterede i lukkede lifter. Lejligheden ligger på en side af bjerget hvor muligheden for at komme retur efter en dag på ski, afhænger af en enkelt stolelift, som desværre kun var åben en enkelt dag ud af de 6 vi var der. Vi havde heldigvis bil med, så vi kunne køre til og fra. Lifterne og manglen på service fra det lokale lift personale var det eneste minus - hvilket Steffen ikke er herrer over.
