This rustic beauty is a hidden gem nestled in the wilderness, offering incredible views of the mountains and free bird concerts at dusk and at dawn. If you want a relaxing and peaceful getaway with your loved ones this place is an excellent option. And, you won’t need to worry about food and safety, as Mehdi and the caretakers will always be there to help you. Of course, we were told that we could be left completely to ourselves if we wished that, so you have that option as well. This plan also has the advantage of a private viewpoint from a steep precipice, which may be rare, especially for a place that’s affordable. Access to this place itself is a bit of adventure, as it involves 2 kms of off-roading. Although, access to the areas within the premises are steep, so older people have to watch out. Also, the tap water is a bit muddy if you care about it. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and it’s pity that we couldn’t plan to stay longer. Kudos to Mehdi and his team!

Amazing stay I had Been with family location and the view early morning is totally worth visiting Not to forget to specify the host of the property was so kind right from the time we booked the property (almost a month before visit) responded so fast every-time I dropped him a message with a query . And the person who was assisting at the property is a gem . He never disturbed us with any restrictions rather helped us so well Would highly recommend if u visit with a family and definitely a must staycation with friends too

it was an incredible experience. The home was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a perfect getaway spot. The well-maintained lawn was a delightful place to relax. We friends had a wonderful stay at British House in Kodaikanal. The property offers a lovely view from the backside, just as shown in the photos. The restrooms were exceptionally clean, and the overall hygiene was impressive. The host was very friendly and accommodating, making the stay even more enjoyable. The check-in and check-out process was flexible, which was a big plus. The only downside was that the firecamp wasn't included in the booking and cost ₹1,000, which felt slightly expensive. While it’s the standard rate in Kodaikanal, they could consider either reducing the price or including it as a complimentary feature in the booking. That said, the firecamp spot itself was fantastic and truly the cherry on the cake. Overall, a highly recommended place for anyone visiting Kodaikanal.
