Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Newport

A bit of a walk from Brown, however close enough for us. It was a nice place—really pretty and cosy. It had everything we needed. The host was very helpful too—definitely recommended!

Steven could not have been nicer or more responsive. I needed a quick and simple place to stay while visiting my daughter at URI. Felt comfortable as a single female.

Really easy to book and S kept communication simple and easy. We have a seen a lot of bait and switches with the other owners of Wyndham properties in Newport. S was upfront and got us the space we wanted. The property is under construction so there were some issues with that, but it’s ending in September so future renters should be able to enjoy renovated pools and common spaces. Overall a great stay at a nice property. Thank you S!

This loft type apartment was out of the ordinary for us but was so much fun. It had a great vibe to the building and super secure. Everything was clean when we checked in and had no problems.

Maxx’s place was perfect for our weekend getaway! It has everything you need all in one place. You can completely walk into newport and find more to do or walk across the street and watch the sunset. Will definitely recommend Maxx’s place to everyone!

Excellent location, we are in town visiting our son, easy walk to College Hill, and things around Providence, also nice restaurant around the neighborhood, Starbuck right across street. Love our stay! The house exact what it show in the photos, strongly recommended!

Check in was super smooth. Tracy has taken great length to decorate her place. Every corner has a unique decor. Kitchen was well stocked up. Place is walkable to Brown and surroundings. Public transportation is available right outside. Place was super clean and Tracy was always responsive. Gave me the comfort I needed after long days of sight seeing. Will recommend to friends and family.

The home was clean and comfortable. Loved the deck and patio. Just wish it was warmer went in November. Great drive along the ocean. Only 5 minutes from Newport. Jamestown has lost to offer. If you like to hike there is Fort Wetherhill to look over the water. Would definitely recommend you stay.

Andrew was great to work with. He was very responsive. I would rent from him again. The unit was really nice and in a great location! Beautiful views from the balcony. The furniture was modern and the unit was very private...only 2 units on the floor. *There were 3-5 of us at a time (depending on the night) staying there very comfortably for my daughter's wedding weekend. On the morning of my daughter's wedding, we had the girls getting ready there for a few hours. We had enough room to move around :) I hope to rent there again for a relaxing get away :)

We are so pleased with our stay which has a beautiful water view! It was so nice to see all the activities and beautiful boats passing by. The condo was clean and spacious and the bed was so so comfortable! We were in the heart of the downtown and were able to walk to the many shops, restaurants and fun activities happening around us! So much to do! We absolutely loved our stay and will hope to book this again. Marc thank you for being a great host! Very easy to check in and accommodations were excellent! :)

Perfect location to Thames St. and very walkable to all the water front locations. Great parking, easy check in, beautiful views, lovely beds and bedding. Worth the price. Only disappointment was uncomfortable seating, but we dealt with it! Two thumbs up!

Bre was a great host. Several of us were traveling to Providence for my son’s graduation. We were a large group and had an 18 month old with us too. Her home was comfortable, meticulously cared for, and she provided all the amenities needed for us to enjoy our family time together, cook regularly, and sit down to eat together. It felt like we are at home. She is detail oriented and her home has many great touches. The home is kid friendly with plenty of toddler toys and books. When traveling to the area again, I will always remember our stay fondly and look to stay here if available. Thanks Bre!

The house is great- very nice size and quality. Very close to the water and a bunch of restaurants. The area feels really safe and was quiet as well. Eileen was very nice & responsive to our questions re: Fan and Wifi, etc. Would stay again!

Clean home came as pictured and described. As previously noted, more kitchen items (utensils, coffee cups, etc) would be helpful but not a major problem. Bedrooms and bathrooms as well as house were clean. Easy transit to Boston, providence, Newport and the cape. Ha was immediately responsive to questions or messages.

This property was in a perfect location for our family to celebrate a graduation. Plenty of space and it felt like home. Peter and Leslie were great hosts.

This house is very charming and spacious, with an excellent kitchen and bedroom layouts. Westport and the Acoaxet neighborhood are so charming and make for a pleasant vacation with lots of beach and nature preserves surrounding. Anyway, I highly recommend this stay.

Mark was extremely responsive and any question or request that I made. Excellent to communicate with. We very much enjoyed using the backyard patio and his lobster pot with propane gas fuel for boiling our delicious Maine lobsters which we picked up just around the corner. Location was ideal for walking to restaurants and beautiful residential areas in the charming neighborhood. If you items need repair in the house, and general could use a little updating with linens, mattresses, and lighting. But for host, responsiveness, ideal, location, and backyard dining, you couldn’t ask for anything better.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Namaste. The neighborhood was peaceful, quiet and the back garden was just perfect - we felt very welcome and our hosts were great. We received excellent recommendations for restaurants and they left us with plenty of information on things to do in the area. I would definitely recommend this house and hope to have the opportunity to stay once again. I am only sorry we could not stay longer. Thank you!
