Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Newington

We had a great stay, fantastic location which is very central but also incredibly quiet. Mike was the most responsive airbnb host ever and made us feel really welcome. We stayed with children under 5 and it was a great alternative to a hotel.

Highly recommended. Barbara was a gracious and knowledgeable host. The flat was well equipped, well positioned if you prefer access to the city without being in it and very comfortable and well presented. We would return - which says it all.

Perfect location, wonderful property, can not recommend highly enough. Would be more than willing to book again. All round just brilliant.

Die Unterkunft war wunderschön - wie auf den Bildern zu sehen! Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, aber dennoch nah an Edinburgh - wunderbar, um von dort aus in die Stadt oder mit dem Mietwagen in die Natur zu fahren. Unser Gastgeber war immer sehr gut zu erreichen und sehr freundlich. Ein Nachteil war (für uns) die Auffahrt: Durch den Schotteruntergrund sind die Reifen bei der Einfahrt durchgedreht und bei der Ausfahrt ist der Wagen trotz Bremsen weiter hinab getuscht. Das war etwas nervenaufreibend. Insgesamt würden wir diese Unterkunft aber in jedem Fall empfehlen!

Nous avons passés deux jours chez Jamie et nous sommes très satisfaits. Ma fille de 6 ans était très contente de trouver des jouets dans la chambre d’enfants. Il y a un bus à proximité de la maison pour visiter Edimbourg. La maison est super et il y a tout ce qu’il faut. Très propre et sympa ! Merci Jamie

Our family had an amazing stay at the coal house,kid friendly with toys they can play with, very clean and had all the stuff we needed Carla and Alan were great host and fast to answer any questions we had. Would recommend for anyone that has kids Thank you again

L’appartement est près du secteur des cafés, restos et boutiques tout en étant assez éloigné pour avoir une certaine quietude et du calme en fin de journée. Jolie rivière et sentier tout près. Considering how important this building is historically it’s amazing that they let people stay overnight and cook in there! It’s very peaceful except on two evenings a group led by a reenactor were rather enthusiastic beneath the window! Only lasted ten minutes and it wasn’t later than 8.30pm. The bathroom gets rather chilly after 11pm when the heating goes off! A minor inconvenience and there is a real gas fire in the bedroom!

Olumsuz bir şey söylemek biraz zor ancak yine de eleştiri yapmak gerekirse belki de evde çok fazla dekoratif eşya bulunması konusu eleştirebilir. Onun dışında biz gayet memnun kaldık fiyat performans açısından bence gayet elverişli ve yeterli ayrıca temiz bir ev. Skye’a bizi ağırladığı için tekrardan teşekkür ederiz. 🙏🏻

We had a lovely time at Alison’s place. It was super spacious for our family. The kitchen was clean and modern. The location was perfect and we were able to walk to restaurants and shopping. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

We had an amazing time in Edinburgh and the unit was in the perfect spot! We were able to walk over to the Old Town and enjoy all the New Town had to offer as well. Greg was always quick to respond and happy to help when needed and provided us with some excellent recommendations before our arrival.

We absolutely loved our say at Susie and Amit’s apartment. Not only did their lovely space make us feel right at home but they did so much to make us feel welcome and are extremely generous hosts. The flat was spacious, clean and comfortable and was a space where we loved spending time throughout the day. The flat came with an incredible view of the city, and was so convenient as it’s right in the heart of the old town. We have stayed in Edinburgh many times and thanks to Susie and Amit’s amazing hospitality, this was easily the best experience we have had in the city. Thank you both so much for such a wonderful stay!

Cannot say enough great things about this beautiful place! The apartment is spacious, private and quiet. It was clean, comfortable and so much space. Walking distance to all the top spots. It was worth every penny!

Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.
