Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Edinburgh

Melissa’s place is amazing. 5 stars! There are a lot of wow characters in her place. The place is huge for just the two of us. The kitchen is spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed. The room is very comfortable and warm. We did not have to use public transport at all to get to all of the tourist spots. It is close to lots of the main sight seeing spots. Very convenient. Melissa is very friendly and helpful. She is very proactively with her communication. We supposed to contact her before we arrive but I did not read the instructions. She contacted us and sorted things. We only stay 2 days in Edinburgh, which we could stay for longer! Would stay in Melissa’s place again! Highly recommend it!

What a fantastic place to stay and an excellent base for exploring Edinburgh and the borders. My family and I had an amazing time in the beautiful South Lodge. It is as listed and shown in the photos - highly recommend!

My family of 4 loved our stay at Denise’s place. House was just as described and perfect for us. We got off an overnight flight and were so happy to get to the house in beautiful sunshine. Had everything we needed. Excellent communication too. Lovely views of the bridges and Location in South Queensferry was perfect. Nice and quiet but close to Edinburgh. Easy trip on a direct bus. We’ll be back!

Charming one night stay after getting in late from the airport!

stayed for a few days due to work .Clean and tidy. parking on site good feature. Great location for access to city centre. Good communication with host. Good instructions regarding how to access property. Would use again.

A great base for visiting Edinburgh. Lovely accommodation; peaceful neighbourhood and very easy transport links into the city. Can also highly recommend the Riccarton Inn, within a few minutes walk - great food and drinks selection and the Tuesday night quiz is good fun. Fiona is an excellent host - very responsive, clear communication and very proactive to make sure your stay is a good one. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for 2, even 3 with the very comfy spare bed. Loved the privacy, but also that Kate was always reachable, very friendly and full of ideas/advice - one of which was : when you come to Scotland, always pack a jumper and an umbrella, even in Summer! No criticisms whatsoever. Thank you Kate!

We loved our visit to Edinburgh and loved staying at the King’s Chamber. What an amazing location! Restaurants, sites, and tours all within steps. Very comfortable accommodations. The description and pictures were accurate and the chambers were very clean and comfortable. We would gladly stay here again!

Loved staying here, really homely and cosy! The area is stunning with lots of lovely shops etc nearby and easy to get to Edinburgh town centre

Hands down this is one of the best Airbnbs we have ever stayed in! I cannot recommend highly enough! So many thoughtful touches throughout and a perfect location. It was clean, cozy, and had incredible views.

Great location, walking distance from Waverly Station. Vibrant but mostly quiet area with dining and entertainment options nearby. Highly recommend!

The perfect place to stay when visiting Edinburgh! Easy to walk to shops and restaurants and the castle! It should be noted that you do have to climb to flights of spiral stairs to get to the apartment. So I would not recommend booking this Airbnb if you have troubles getting up steps. Other than that I highly recommend!

We felt right at home in Stuarts flat. It's smack dab in the middle of old town and literally a 2-3 minute walk from Waverly train station. It was a clean and modern apartment with great views out over the rooftops of the city and beyond. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen was stocked full of everything we needed for our week long stay. We needed some extra towels at one point and Stuart had them delivered within the hour. Stuart left a comprehensive "things to do" booklet in the flat that came in handy for grocery shop locations as well as where to go locally for great meals and services. The location is very central and makes a great base to Explore Edinburgh and beyond by foot. The stairs up to the apartment might not appeal to everyone but honestly they aren't too bad and the bonus is being on the top floor you get those amazing views and no one is above you. You get used to them after a couple of days. :-). We highly recommend Stuarts apartment and would stay there again.

The flat was lovely and amazingly located. The toilet being in a different room than the shower was handy. I love that 100 steps (I counted) from the gate was Mr. Woodfire pizza! Tasty pizza and friendly guys! We also ate at Thyme in the Premier Inn. Both are at the Lauriston Place and Lauriston Gardens intersection. The dehumidifier was my friend. Thank you for the photos of so many things, including the trash cans! The dining area and living room were wonderful hangout places! There were many outlets! That was convenient! We learned how to turn the outlets on. Thank you so much for the communication, especially when my husband walked right past the (open) lock box with the key in his pocket.

We liked everything, the price is good

Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at Suzanna’s peaceful Airbnb in Edinburgh. The location was quiet and ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The home was exceptionally clean and well-kept, and Suzanna was an outstanding host—very responsive and easy to communicate with. I truly appreciated her hospitality and attention to detail. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh and would love to stay here again!
