House vacation rentals in Nevada City

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. Our boys loved the upstairs room with the two twin beds (although if they were smaller I might have worried about them on the stairs, as there is no railing for the last several steps). We loved the cozy fireplace and the hot tub, and enjoyed not having to use our car at all once we arrived— plenty to see and do in walking distance, including a nice park for the dog and kids. Thank you for hosting us!

Catherine stands out as a host who feels a special connection to the home she shares on Airbnb. She clearly loves the place and is invested in the best possible outcome for everyone. It's more than just a business to her. We did some cooking and baking in the kitchen and felt wowed by how well stocked the kitchen is. It had everything we needed and then some. The home maintains the charm of its history, which we loved. Downtown Grass Valley is so, so nice, and it's just a short walk from A Victorian Rose. I especially appreciated Catherine's recommendation of Caroline's Cafe. That's our kind of cafe, top to bottom. We visited at least four times! Grass Valley itself is such a lovely destination. Five stars all around!

This was the first AirBnB we stayed in where the photos and description were exactly what we got! We were incredibly impressed with Leah’s home. The details and interior design, had us feeling like we were in a model home (better than our own which made us feel extra special)! The size was perfect for our family, plus our pup. The hot tub was delightful. The trails at the bottom of the hill were the chef’s kiss to the perfect stay. Truly unforgettable. Lots of stairs and steep hillsides, so not the easiest for anyone elderly. There was not a microwave, but the appliances and extra touches that Leah had in her home were worth missing the convenience of quickly heating something up. We truly loved this home and the experience so so so much (and so did our pup)!

Jakob’s place is an absolute dream! Wish we were able to stay longer. Gorgeous view, comfy beds, great kitchen. The hot tub overlooking the valley was amazing. Jakob and Alishia were extremely kind and good hosts, answering questions and messages quickly. We will be back!!

Vicky's place was awesome, perfect for a family and friends weekend. The kitchen is well stocked and we loved the huge dining table. Beds are comfortable and the couch was big enough for all of us to fit after a long day of skiing! The house is in beautiful, serene surrounding, with huge backyard. We will be back.

We had such a great stay! The property was perfect for our family getaway—our kids especially loved the trampoline and the hot tub (they barely wanted to come inside!). Our Doberman, Lincoln, had the best time playing fetch in the large open space—it was such a treat to find a spot that’s truly dog-friendly. Melissa was a delightful host—super responsive and thoughtful. She even set up a fun scavenger hunt for the kids to find hidden gnomes around the property, which they absolutely loved. It’s little touches like that that made our stay really special. We’d love to come back again. Highly recommend!

I love this place so much! This was my second little retreat here this season. Always clean, comfy, and beautiful, and a wonderful place to relax. Asha is a lovely host—very helpful, responsive, and considerate. When there was a minor issue with one of the appliances, she got it fixed right away. I’m sure I’ll be back!

We had such a wonderful stay at Clare's home. The hosue is comfortable and the pool was perfect for beating the summer heat! The door to the pool is off the family rooom area but it is easily closable for keeping young kids away from teh pool if needed. The house is tastefully decorated with some homey additions like books and toys. We found it difficult to choose where to sit-- outside on the front porch or our by the pool lounge area. Although the house is not close enough to town to walk the location is very central and wooded. The view out the back is really wonderful. This is a great place for a family or anyone looking for an authentic Nevada City stay. Highly recommend!

I rented Don and Kathy’s home to throw a baby shower. Keep in mind there is an event fee if you’ll have guests joining for the day, but it was very reasonable, especially for everything this house and our hosts gave us in return. There was so much open green space, greenhouse was more spacious and beautiful than what it looked like in the photos, and you can tell they put a lot of love and care into this family home. It was very clean and guest ready, but you can tell people actually live here and IMO it felt made it feel warmer compared to company owned Airbnbs that feel sterile. When they say their kitchen is fully stocked, they mean FULLY stocked. Don and Kathy are excellent hosts as well - they were so responsive and responded personally to all our messages and very quickly. When you get close the roads are not lit, so for some it might be a little scary to navigate in the dark. Just drive slow and once you get to where GPS drops you off it’s easy to see the house from the road!

Dan and Laura were very kind and responded quickly and honestly to all the questions we had leading up to our trip as well as during our trip. The house was beautiful. It worked perfectly for our group of 12 adults. We really appreciated the convenience of multiple bathrooms. My guests enjoyed the beautiful open kitchen, the large size tv in the living room, the downstairs entertainment room, and the hot tub the most. Thank you so much for being wonderful hosts! It made my milestone birthday that much more special.(:

Great location, close to downtown NC but also very peaceful in the woods. Spacious home with high ceiling and good amenities, including pool and jacuzzi. The only downside is the living room was pretty dark and no bright light for reading at night.

We had the most wonderful time in Marilyn and David's gorgeous home. The home is very large and accommodated our large group perfectly with plenty of large gathering spaces and private areas as well. The pool and hot tub are awesome. It even has a phonograph which was awesome and we enjoyed and danced to!! The entire property has a panoramic view of the foothills and is breathtaking and perfect for star gazing. Highly recommend!! Thanks so much for everything!!! The Wheelers

Amazing time at this magical place! So relaxing, lots of space to roam outside and even inside the house. My family really enjoyed the movie room and spacious kitchen, packed with all supplies you’d need. We ended up driving 40 minutes to COD Creek Falls to explore, so worth the beautiful hike to a waterfall. I would like to note for transparency that hot tub and sauna do not get/stay as hot as I am used to (older models) the value of everything was still worth all 5 stars overall! We enjoyed the stay—it was spotless and very peaceful! The checkout process was very thorough. Just make sure you read the instructions thoroughly, that way you won't get charged! Overall, it was a great stay!

this home is truly an escape. the minimalist and modern decor feel soothing and peaceful. we loved waking up with the sunlight filtering through the beautiful trees surrounding the home. we appreciated how clean and welcoming the place felt. we were just traveling through and didn't get to explore the area but just enjoying the restful home makes us want to go back.

The home is BEAUTIFUL, the views are breathtaking, out in the country, view of the lake, the home is very large and you feel like you just walked into your own house it is so comfortable and welcoming. We have stayed at multiple air BNB’s on a week long family trip and this one was def our favorite. I will be coming back yearly to see my brother and this is where I want to stay every time. One night was not enough I need a couple days of those serene peaceful beautiful atmosphere of a home

My family went to Lake Wildwood to visit some family and luckily found Iris' house. Her place was ideal! Comfortable and close to a park on the lake, with a wonderful deck to sit on and share about old times as the sun set behind the oaks. And Iris was as available and helpful as you could hope for. We will return for sure.

This was a great house with a lot of amenities! This location is great for a large group. The kitchen and living space are massive! The kitchen is a chef’s dream. The entire house was very clean. The host was responsive, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Our group will come back to this house.

We had an amazing stay! Beautiful property with access to various trails and especially the water stream. Peaceful environment and ample space for our group of 9 adults, 4 kids and a pet! We loved the deck and luckily weather was good during the last few days of 2024. Nevada City downtown is a short drive. We are already planning for another stay during summer months here. Alicia is a great host - very responsive and her instructions were clear.
