Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Nantucket County

I would highly recommend Jennifer’s home to anyone visiting Nantucket!! The location is truly second to none—just a short walk from the ferry, restaurants, and the shops downtown, with stunning views of the ocean and harbor, and directly across the street from a great beach. The house was very clean, and came with plenty of toiletries and towels. Jennifer was an excellent host, communicating clearly and kindly throughout our stay. It was a truly unforgettable experience!

Our family of five absolutely fell in love with this gorgeous home. We all slept so well in the deluxe beds and made lots of memories playing games in the living rooms. The kitchen was well stocked and very fun to cook in. We loved using the grill, and the back patio is so picturesque. My kids loved using the house’s sound system. The house is EVEN BETTER in person than in the photos. We didn’t want to leave. The decor is very chic. The home should be featured in magazines!! The location is so convenient. The home is surrounded by homes from the 18th and 19th centuries- so cool!! We hope to return soon. Thank you!!

Wonderful stay! While cozy, the unit is larger and even more beautiful than it appears in the pictures. There was a lovely spot beneath the stairs for a pack and play for our baby (that isn’t shown in pictures). The unit was spotless and felt extremely clean. Having access to a washer and dryer was extremely helpful given the beach trips and having a baby. The best part was how walkable the apartment was from town. If you are new to the area it is absolutely worth spending extra (although Kate’s prices are quite reasonable!) to be a walkable distance from town. She had comfortable beach chairs, a cooler, and umbrella available as well as beach towels. Kate was a fantastic host, responsive, and wonderful with our young daughter. We would 100% stay again!

Ryan is an extremely attentive host, and Under the Sea was fantastic! Space was exactly as shown and met our needs perfectly. Bummed we had to cut our trip short, hope to return in summer. Thank you so much Ryan!

We are a group of fishing buddies that have been coming to Chappy for many years and rented lots of places and Elaine’s home is far and away the best. From the awesome outside shower, beautiful bedrooms, high end kitchen and appliances everything one could want has been thought of.

The cottage was easy to find and access. There was a small parking space but we did not use a car. The location is a busy street but walkable to greenways or downtown. Inside was cozy and neat.

Our stay at 260 Madaket Road was perfect. The house was walking distance to the shuttle to town. Short distance from the beach and the beautiful Nantucket sunsets. Michael was very responsive with our questions and was a great host. Would look to stay again next summer.

We had a lovely stay in Viktoriya's home! The cottage was clean, cozy and exactly as described - even better in person! The location was perfect for exploring the island, it was a 10 minute walk to and from airport but we barely heard any planes. Bus stop less than 2 blocks away. Check in was super smooth and easy - we had an early flight and she let us come in earlier to drop off our bags. Viktoriya was super communicative and kind, making sure we had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect location, close to town but tucked into a neighborhood to make you feel like you're a local. Spacious, clean, private apartment with everything you need. Very nice accomodating hosts with recommendations and great communication. Large yard, we were able to enjoy and feel like we were at home. Nantucket was beautiful, having the perfect place to stay really made for a perfect week on the island.

Rachael’s apartment is a perfect, conveniently located home base for a stay in Nantucket. The space is spotless and all of the furniture and amenities appear to be new. You are walking distance from Cisco Brewery, Miacomet Golf Course and Bartlett Farms. And Racheal is an extremely friendly and helpful host. Can’t go wrong!

The whole family was super kind and friendly! Everything was to our liking and I am hopeful to return someday with my husband and kids! Home was well stocked in the welcome basket was a nice touch.

Perfect place for a mother/daughter girl's trip! Quick bike ride into town and super close to Cisco Brewery, Bartlett Farms, and Cisco Beach! Not to mention, the fish market/raw bar downstairs is both delicious and QUINTESSENTIAL! Absolutely loved having a spacious, bright, and clean space to call our own during our stay on Nantucket. Will be back!

Perfect spot and great location! My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. It’s a 8 min bike ride into town, very clean and so peaceful and quiet. We would definitely recommend!

Angela’s place was absolutely ideal. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. What we loved most, though, was the location! We were able to walk and bike everywhere, and had easy access to The Wave public transportation to explore the area. Angela also had beach chairs and umbrellas available, which made our beach days so easy and enjoyable. We’re already planning our next stay. Could not recommend this place more!

Susan’s Airbnb was beautiful, clean, and had everything you would need. She left plenty of information on things to do and places to eat for your stay on the island. The Airbnb is within biking distance into the town of Nantucket and other surrounding areas. It also is in a great location for using the public transportation around the island. I would highly recommend staying at Susan’s!

Enviable waterfront location in town was perfectly convenient. The apartment was charming, and we got a kick out of being located above Karen’s art gallery, sharing the common entrance. We know Nantucket very well, and were fortunate enough to find in Karen’s “Oasis” the perfect spot for us; quintessential “old” Nantucket. Plus Karen is a delightful and engaging host.

Cute little one bedroom! I would stay here again in the future and would recommend this place to anyone. Perfect for couples!

This was a great getaway. Very easy accommodations with everything you need and you can't beat the location - walk to town and beaches. Faith was very communicative and good host. I can't recommend enough!!!!

Leah was the most accommodating host I’ve ever encountered. The beds were super comfortable and the house was pristine. Leah gave tons of recommendations for me and my 2 under 2. We had a great time despite the weather and I would highly recommend Leah’s place to anyone.

Heather's place is beautiful! An amazing location with close proximity to the OB steamship authority station, a number of bus lines, and the beach! The view and location are unbeatable! Heather was also super responsive in terms of coordinating flexible check-in/check-out times which was very much appreciated. Overall, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting OB :)

Alex’s place was a great stay to recharge and relax after the long days we had last week. I would highly recommended this place for anyone popping through New Bedford, or staying for a few days! The airbnb was spotless and quiet and clean. I will be renting here again when I need somewhere to stay when I’m back in New Bedford! Also very close to downtown all the coffee shops, and restaurants! Quiet neighborhood.

Incredible little place a half mile or so from town. Close enough for a casual walk but far enough out of the mix to get some peace and quiet at night. It felt like a home away from home, cozy and well furnished. 10/10 will stay here again.
