Great place, literally paces from a BEAUTIFUL lagoon and beach filled with turtles and fish. Nice quiet road dotted with 4 or 5 beaches/parks, and about a 3 mile drive to the shops/grocery stores to keep the kitchen stocked. Also had a French press so we could enjoy our fresh Kona coffee every day.

Great place if you are looking for a place in Hilo. We had a little trouble on getting inside as the code in the instructions didn’t match the code to open the lock but, the building manager came out to help and contacted Jessica and she found the code. The place matches the description. She had a bunch of snorkel gear and sunscreen and bug repellent which was a huge help. It seems she has thought of everything for the house. The other tenants are very friendly and helpful. The lagoon for snorkeling is amazing.

The complex is showing its age, but the unit itself has been updated and has a lovely view of the pool area. It was convenient to be able to use our own streaming services on the Roku TV. The provided shower amenities were particularly nice. All our questions were answered promptly. The neighborhood was a short Uber ride away from the things you would want to see in Hilo. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Super nice place to spend a couple nights while exploring Hilo/Waterfalls/Volcanoes! It’s a bit tough to find but Maggie’s instructions were proactive in letting you know how to get to the right parking lot (make sure to not rely on GPS alone). The public lagoon park is a short walk away and was absolutely gorgeous - some of the most impressive trees you’ll ever see, neat wavy footbridges, and some humbling memorials and statues. The unit itself was nice and comfortable, and overlooks an adorable small creek stocked with koi and a waterfall that lulls you to sleep each night. All different kinds of birds to observe out on the spacious lanai. The pool was large and the common areas were clean and landscaped, despite the buildings themselves being a bit aged. Bar across the parking lot is open late, but other nearby food options close early. Phenomenal location and unit overall for a cheap couple’s getaway on east side Big Island. Recommend!

lovely view. stocked kitchen with super helpful condiments and spices. 1 mattress is firm the other is medium. pool is big enough for laps when not crowded. only unexpected item is that building is on the Hilo airport landing flight path. We are light sleepers and the late night cargo delivery planes were noticeable. still glad we chose this place. you should too.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Hilo! The ocean view was excellent, as we saw whales in the distance from the room itself. Private access to the ocean and the pool made it feel like our little slice of paradise. The property was fantastic—loaded with great amenities, including an inviting pristine pool area. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and well thought out, making our stay seamless and relaxing. The location was perfect, too, with some amazing restaurants just a short distance away that added to the overall experience. From start to finish, everything went smoothly, and we left feeling so happy and refreshed. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hilo—5 stars all the way!

Awesome place and responsive host. Right on Carl Smith Beach Park, which is beautiful. Balcony is screened which cuts down on bugs, place and was super clean with thoughtful beach supplies that made our stay much more comfortable.

Honestly I don't do airbnb much these days any more but Terry's place is great. Beautiful view from the place and close to most things in Hilo. Amber and Terry are great hosts. When one of the bulbs went out, they came to fix it right away, also brought water to us when the building was doing water maintenance that day. Only complaint is no body wash which feels like a standard these days. All in all, great experience, and great hosts!
