After crossing a pretty little courtyard, we arrive at the front door which leads directly into the ground floor bedroom. It is also in this room that the only toilet in the cottage is located (which can be annoying when traveling with two couples...). The stay is very pleasant and very bright. The mezzanine is nice. The 140 cm bedding is of quality. The cottage is very well equipped and the responsive hosts are also charming.

Nothing to say, we were welcomed with a beautiful basket filled with offerings, the accommodation is beautiful and quiet. We had a pleasant stay.

This is a little bit of heaven. If you're looking for somewhere to get away from everything (but still have enough to do), somewhere quiet (but still with lots going on) and somewhere that feels like a world away from stress and fuss (but still with Angoulême 30 minutes' drive away), you've found it. The house is spacious, warm and welcoming. There's everything you need (including a bottle of red when we arrived!) and restaurants and bars are less than 5 minutes' walk away. The dock at the back of the house on the river may be the best place ever to enjoy a coffee and watch the ducks or open a bottle in the evening. The best place we've found to de-stress. Love it.

We had a great time at Caroline and Gordon's! Our hosts were very warm and extremely attentive! The cottage is very comfortable: the sofa, armchairs, bedding are ideal for relaxing and resting. The house is full of charm and its cleanliness is impeccable. The garden is well equipped for a great time, nothing is missing! The cottage's environment is very peaceful, the setting is ideal for nature lovers. Many walks are possible, as well as fun activities in the cottage. We would highly recommend!!

anna and ians gites are a rare find , both private , peaceful and yet close to bars , restaurants and shops. We loved the gite we stayed in which was tastefully decorated and furnished perfectly suiting the age of the building but with modern appliances. Anna and ian are the perfect hosts, being very approachable and extremely helpful, we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this little gem !!

My husband and I loved the apartment and Pierrick and Eve were very welcoming and helpful. Little personal touches like fresh flowers completed the feeling of being at home. Beautiful surroundings, excellent location and perfect amenities. A gem. Would highly recommend it and would come back.

One of the best hosts and homes I've ever experienced (if not the best). The place is paradise, the magnificent view, the very comfortable and tastefully decorated accommodation, Gideon's little touches are as numerous as they are appreciated... Really a more than memorable stay that I have already talked about around me. The 5-star rating is very well deserved or even below the service. Looking forward to coming back!
