Amazing place. Highly recommend!

Full marks for an amazing stay! The home is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and superbly located in the heart of Monchique. Michaela and Sebastian also went above and beyond to answer all our enquiries and make sure that the home would work for our needs. We loved spending time in this gem of a town and were genuinely sad to leave both the town and our accommodation!

Nice house with an absolutely gorgeous view in pictoresque, quiet surroundings. Well-kept pool, nice terrace to the south. Useful fireplace with a good supply of firewood for those chilly early-Spring evenings. In terms of supplies, be prepared to bring just about everything with you. The only things provided were dish-washing liquid, tablets for the dish machine, and two rolls of toilet paper. No salt, pepper, oil or any other usual Airbnb-leftover amenities.

Birgit hosted us wonderfully well and housed my wife and two little girls in her beautiful (tastefully appointed cottage) in the middle of unspoiled, inspiring, and soothing nature. It was a pleasure just getting out of the house or leaving to enjoy the area, and especially its beautiful beaches, to be or then return to this small corner of a beneficial nature. The animals in Birgit were sure to delight our girls either! Thank you!

Our hopes were high but still we were surprised by this place, it was even better than we expected. The house is made from natural materials with beautiful details and you can tell that a lot of work went into making this home. The view is great and the sound of birds and the stream below is very relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped and the garden has comfortable set ups for eating, reading and lounging. The house is located on a quiet hill but (wild) beaches, small towns and supermarkets are easily accessible. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Cate and Robin are lovely hosts.

Beautiful home with very tasteful decor in a quaint part of the Algarve. Great location if you plan to discover the Algarve by car. I would definitely book this home again

The apartment is very well located, near the beach and with many restaurants nearby. The coolest thing is the terrace because of the beautiful view. If you prefer to stay and enjoy time in silence, it’s a great choice. It's also very clean and has everything you need. And the hosts are very helpful and very responsive; we appreciated their help with anything. It’s a perfect place for a vacation.

Cannot recommend this stay enough! A real local vibe with beautiful Portuguese touches including a view of the ocean and a hammock for ultimate relaxation. We loved our stay in this cute, quite, idyllic town. Some of our favorite times of our trip through Portugal were here visiting Praia da Marinha (WOW!), Earth Cafe (best cappuccinos - heaven on earth), Le Crô (delicious tapas and amazing service). Our stay was all around incredible and utter bliss.

Cannot recommend enough, Peggy and Rupert were extremely responsive, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The apartment was pristine, as described and in a good location with some really special beaches nearby (15 min walk) From setting up car hire, to restaurant recommendations and parking info, Peggy made everything simple. The apartment was well stocked with all the things you'd need, my only regret was that I didn't have time to finish the book I borrowed off the shelf! We would come back, thanks so much!

Raquel is one of the most communicative and responsive hosts I’ve ever interacted with on Airbnb. The location of this home is unbelievable. I fell in love with Albufeira from the first few hours i was there, and couldn’t believe how well-situated this place was to all the fun the area has to offer. ACs and most amenities worked well. I’m not sure if it’s a design related to homes in that area, but the open bathroom in the master bedroom, including the shower design, seemed impractical. I needed to rearrange items in that area, and wipe the floor/toilet after every shower. The iron was unusable due to a stain on the ironing surface, and risk of damaging clothes. The washing machine was small and not very effective. We needed to do a lot of loads to clean our clothes, then air dry them, but glad we had a washer! Overall, this is a great place, Raquel’s a great host, and i recommend booking, for anyone visiting Albufeira. Great for 2 ppl, but could accommodate a couple more too. Enjoy!

Aurelia’s house had a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I walked in. I especially appreciated the local guidebook on the living room table- it’s clear Aurelia truly cares about her guests’ experience.

The house is perfect, super cosy and very clean. The location is very good, 10min and is in the center. And Miguel is excellent, responds quickly, gave several tips from the Algarve and was very kind and attentive!!

Marco's place was really great. 9/10 points - why: I thought, according to the photos, that it was the neighboring house with a pool. We were on the first floor and actually I prefer accommodation on the ground floor with my 5-year-old son, which was unfortunately not quite clear. Top was: not even 5 minutes' walk to the beach, great restaurants on the beach, expensive supermarket just around the corner. The apartment is super clean and the kitchen has everything you absolutely need for self-catering but also nothing more, no pasta strainer and no lemon squeezer, for example. Tableware also minimal in terms of the number of pieces (6 glasses). Marco and his mom are super nice and helpful at check-in, furthermore we did not need them, as it was not our first Portugal vacation. Great value for the money with a pool - you can't rule anything out. Portimão is a great location, 50 minutes by car from Faro Airport and 30 minutes from Lagos. Kind regards, Jessica & Family.

Fabulous location! Beach, amazing boardwalk, and town very near, just lots of stairs! But that is beautiful Portugal! Views from porch were fantastic; everything you needed was in the kitchen and it was a very welcoming place. We didn’t use the pool, but it is a good size and well maintained. Master shower is a bit tight, but a big beautiful bath is 5 steps away, so really no big deal. I would definitely book here again if the opportunity arises!

Just come back from an amazing week in Portugal with my sister. Helia was an amazing host and very responsive. The apartment was really nice and was in a very nice area where it is not too busy. Lidl is literally 2 min walk away. Bars, restaurants and beach is 1 min walk away. There is so much to see and ubers are cheap.

We had a fantastic week in Elisa’s apartment, the view is beautiful! So lovely to see and hear the sea everyday. It’s a short walk into town with lots of great bars and restaurants, we also easily got parked nearby. Elisa was a great host, very responsive and I recommend reading her blog with loads of great recommendations for exploring the algarve. Thank you Elisa!

Wow!! What an amazing place! One of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in! The photos don’t do it justice! So much nicer!! Super clean, tastefully decorated, very well equipped, fantastic rooftop terrace, and gorgeous beach views! The location is fantastic, literally a two minute walk to the beautiful Meia Praia beach. Carolina is so friendly and was super attentive during our stay! Highly recommend and will definitely be back soon!!

We had a fantastic week at Anita’s apartment in Praia da Rocha. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome – Anita and Antonio had left a generous guest pack including ham, cheese, wine, milk, water, biscuits and crisps, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch after our journey. The apartment itself is bright, spotless, and has spectacular views across the beach – which, pleasantly, wasn’t too busy during our stay. The location is excellent, with a great selection of bars and restaurants just a short walk away. Anita and Antonio were outstanding hosts – friendly, responsive, and clearly committed to making sure their guests have everything they need. Their detailed information pack was really helpful, and they were always quick to answer any questions we had. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this apartment – it’s a perfect base for a relaxing stay in Praia da Rocha. Thank you, Anita and Antonio, for your warm hospitality and kindness!

Rosa’s place was great and exactly as described. Very short distance to beach and town (~15 min). She had recommendations which we appreciated. Check-in was easy. The place was as described and Rosa was super communicative. We encountered some issues after checkin and Rosa handled them immediately, which was so appreciated!! We loved the beauty of the view and the location above Dona Ana beach and being close to the boardwalk to ponte da Piedade. You are also close to old town Lagos for restaurants, as well as to the marina. Joanna was very helpful and responsive and the condo was well equipped, with beautiful dishes and everything you need if you wish to cook.
