Family-friendly vacation rentals in Monchique

A really lovely villa, photos don’t really do it justice. It’s very spacious and there was plenty of room for our group, 6 adults and 3 young children. The pool and play area were very popular. Lisa and David were great hosts. They provided everything we needed and more and were very good with communication and info. Some lovely personal touches for our stay left in the villa too which were much appreciated. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa and hope to return again sometime.

Excellent location.👌 Possibility to leave the car and do a lot on foot. The hike along the coast to reach the pretty little fishing village of Burgau is a beautiful reward ♥️ (Beach restaurant is the best). Breathtaking view of the sea and the pretty little town from the apartment with private access by elevator😁! The restaurants are very good too with plenty of choice!! On the other hand, the accommodation would be more than 5* if a refresh was done (jacuzzi at the end of its life, pergola in need of renovation as well as the blinds, etc.). My family and a friend stayed here and absolutely loved it! The location was perfect—close to everything we needed. The pool was right outside the back doors, and the view was beautiful. We really appreciated the extra touches, like beach umbrellas and a boogie board, which we definitely made use of. The beds were very comfortable, which was such a relief after staying at several other places with hard mattresses. All in all, a fantastic stay—we’d definitely come back!

Vladimir is an excellent host. Perfect welcome, very human and a lot of kindness. The apartment is located in a quiet oasis in portimao. There is a swimming pool access. For children, it's great. The rooms are fine and the bedding was fine. It takes the car to visit the Algarve. Vladimir's recommendations for restaurants and activities were really appreciated.

Beautiful view and had all the amenities we needed. We felt very welcome and felt at home. João is a wonderful host and is very helpful and responds in a timely manner. We were able to use beach chairs and umbrellas which enhanced our stay. There’s everything you need - kitchen appliances, air conditioning and washing machine made it very comfortable. The views are amazing and it was wonderful having breakfast every morning with the view. It was very quiet and peaceful. The house was very clean and had been modernized. I would definitely recommend.

The location of the listing was perfect! With sea views and a 5-minute walk to the city center of Carvoeiro.

Jonathan was a great host. Super responsive and communicative. The location is close enough to all the bars and restaurants to walk in minutes but far enough to have some quiet. The outdoor terrace was great and the whole place was clean and comfortable. We made a mistake and locked the keys in the bedroom on accident and as to get them retrieved so keep them with you at all times in case the wind blows the door closed. We’d definitely stay again!

We were positively surprised by the appartment. It looked even better than ok the photos. The view was spectacular and location is ideal. Communication was also really good and Maria sent us useful recommendations. Would definitely visit again!

A Perfect Family Getaway in Lagos! We recently spent a week at this beautiful villa in Lagos with our family, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spacious and immaculately clean the property was. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax, whether inside the villa or out by the pool. The highlight for us was definitely the pool area—it offered a stunning view that made every morning coffee and evening swim feel like a luxury experience. The outdoor space was peaceful and well-maintained, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the sunshine. Ursula, our host, was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. Her warm hospitality really added to the experience. The location was great too—quiet and private, yet just a short drive from the beaches and town centre. We felt completely at home and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We stayed at Peggy’s condo for 3 overnights. She was very responsive and clear with instructions about finding the condo and how to gain access. The condo was very well equipped and the upstairs rooftop views were spectacular. There are walkable restaurants for all Meals. You can walk to the walking section of Lagos. We drove as we had a rental car and are seniors. There is a local beach nearby- driveable. We used Peggy’s place as our base and went out and explored the beautiful Algarve every day. I highly recommend as the condo is exactly as described and Peggy and Rupert are fantastic hosts. The condo is also very clean and well maintained.

Such a gem of a place. We stayed for 6 nights; I originally (mistakenly) only booked for 5 nights but the hosts were accommodating and responsive when I requested to add another night to the end of the trip. We came for my 40th birthday, and I was looking for a place right on the coast, with cliffs and ocean views. This perfectly fit the bill and I had an enchanting time. There are so many lovely spaces in the house to enjoy the views and the weather, and the hosts are responsive and send recommendations for the area.

My family and I loved staying at Vitor's place. We received a welcome basket with a thought for our children. The accommodation matches the photos perfectly and the outdoor space is simply magical and very much appreciated by both adults and children. The village of Fuz is very quickly reached by car. Ideal place to relax and have a little privacy with the family.

We stayed for a week with our baby and had a wonderful time. It‘s a super peaceful, beautiful place - especially the surrounding grounds are magical. The house itself is simple but cozy and very charming, the terrace overlooking the property‘s nature is a wonderful place to hang out and chill, and we made good use of the BBQ and outside shower. At some point we had a power outage, but Ana dealt with it promptly and professionally. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a retreat in nature.

We had a fantastic stay at Susana’s place. The accommodation was beautiful and spotlessly clean (very happy to let my little one crawl around on the floors it was so clean!). Much bigger than the photos. Pool area was very peaceful. Lots of amenities without being cluttered. Well stocked kitchen and generous welcome pack. Restaurants and beautiful beaches within walking distance. Great communication and very helpful host. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Alvor! Francisca is a great host – warm, helpful and always available. She made sure that we felt completely comfortable and were provided with all the necessary information. The house is very cozy, lovingly decorated and well equipped – we didn't miss anything. We especially liked the toys provided, beach utensils such as umbrellas, chairs and digging things – perfect for our holiday with a child. The beaches in Alvor are beautiful, ideal for swimming, playing and relaxing. There are great excursion options in the area – our daughter loved the Dino Minigolf! The resort itself offers everything you need: restaurants, shopping and a pleasant, family atmosphere. We really enjoyed our time here and would be happy to come back!

The lovingly renovated house is perfect for anyone who loves nature and the garden, is looking for peace and relaxation and yet wants to get to know the Algarve. Communication with Jan is quick and straightforward - we had the best time with him during our vacation.

The AirBnB was really fantastic. Great location, beautiful property with fantastic pool and great outdoor kitchen in the middle of nature. If you love animals (like we do), this is the place to be. Birgit was a super nice and attentive hostess. We got great tips from her for the area (beaches and food spots) and were able to explore the Algarve so perfectly. We felt very comfortable right away and are sad that we had to leave after a super nice week. The Quinta Avalon is a real heartfelt recommendation, especially because of the dogs and cats, for which Birgit offers a great home. We were very happy to be your guest and would come back at any time. Best regards

Raquel is one of the most communicative and responsive hosts I’ve ever interacted with on Airbnb. The location of this home is unbelievable. I fell in love with Albufeira from the first few hours i was there, and couldn’t believe how well-situated this place was to all the fun the area has to offer. ACs and most amenities worked well. I’m not sure if it’s a design related to homes in that area, but the open bathroom in the master bedroom, including the shower design, seemed impractical. I needed to rearrange items in that area, and wipe the floor/toilet after every shower. The iron was unusable due to a stain on the ironing surface, and risk of damaging clothes. The washing machine was small and not very effective. We needed to do a lot of loads to clean our clothes, then air dry them, but glad we had a washer! Overall, this is a great place, Raquel’s a great host, and i recommend booking, for anyone visiting Albufeira. Great for 2 ppl, but could accommodate a couple more too. Enjoy!

Excellent and thoughtful accommodations! All details have been carefully considered for an enjoyable stay, including sand toys for kids to have fun at the beach. Would recommend this as an excellent place to stay!
