The beautiful beaches on the south coast such as the famous praia da marinha can be reached in half an hour. The cottage has a simple outdoor kitchen where you can grill a fresh fish from the daily fresh fish market in Silves. There's a private shower and toilet. Diagonally behind your cottage is our own wooden house, but there is still enough privacy. The terrace has mountain views in front of you.

Elia’s farmhouse was absolutely perfect! Super picturesque, peaceful, and just what we were looking for - a cute place on the countryside that was only a short drive away into town, and only a 45 minute drive from all the beaches on the coast. Only hiccup we had was WiFi being spotty at first but not an issue knowing we were up in the mountains, with much enjoyed privacy and a peaceful view! Elia was super responsive when we had any questions and the entire family was so friendly when being greeted and seen off. Would recommend Elia’s place to anybody and hope to stay again soon!

We stayed in the cottage in MRT-apr for almost 3 weeks with 2p. In this period, it is always exciting what the weather does. However, the courtyard garden quickly made it pleasant to sit outside and if the weather was a little worse, we were on the coast within 25 minutes where it is a few degrees warmer. There are many nice, beautiful beaches to be found via the internet and surprisingly nice towns and villages on the coast. Nevertheless, we were happy that we had chosen a cottage in the hills with lots of greenery, flowers and beautiful walks. Fresh mint can just be found here along the road! We also liked the full kitchen so you can make a great meal there, the spacious shower and the spacious bedroom with a great bed and a large window with screen. You can also walk from the house into the city center within a few minutes where you will find some cozy terraces. Simon is friendly and attentive and offered to bring fresh linens and towels in the meantime. We loved that!

This review asks if the pictures are like the listing and the real answer is not even close...this place is far nicer than the pictures. Simon (the helper) was so patient, kind and informative. I have been to many airbnb places before but for tranquility and views.. this one is incredible. The driveway is a bit scary but welcome to Europe for that. our family enjoyed every moment here. Thank you for making the first leg of our trip so memorable.

Quiet and very nice space, in the middle of nature. It also has a part with an excellent bar and pool to relax. The yurt is super pleasant, we can have the comfort of a bed and at the same time fall asleep to the sound of Nature's sounds. When night falls, we have the privilege of being able to observe a sky without any visual pollution, which allows us to observe the stars and constellations. Possibility of having breakfast at sunrise and hiking in the surroundings in the middle of Serra de Monchique. Brett, his wife and children are a wonderful family and are willing to help with everything to make your stay the best possible.
