We were blown away by the beauty and serenity of Villa Ovita in Talpe, Sri Lanka. This stunning villa was literally a paradise on earth, surrounded by lush greenery and an incredible array of animals. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were in a nature lover's haven. But what truly made our stay special was the warm hospitality of our host, Damith. He was incredibly welcoming and kind, and it's clear that he's poured his heart and soul into creating this beautiful oasis. His hard work has paid off, and we felt so grateful to have been able to experience it. We spent our last few days in Sri Lanka at Villa Ovita, and it was the perfect way to unwind and relax. The house is perfect, we had such a nice stay here. Very stylish, good location and the housekeeper is the sweetest and makes very nice breakfast! The restaurant Citra that they have down the street is one of the best in Sri Lanka also! Would recommend this place to everyone and we hope we have a chance to go back one day!

Whether it was finding the right cab, recommending great places to eat, or giving local tips, Chaminda was always there with thoughtful suggestions and a smile. The house itself is beautifully designed with a peaceful and relaxing vibe—perfect for unwinding. The atmosphere is warm, calm, and really well thought out. It was honestly one of the best stays we’ve had on Airbnb. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Must stay!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Best Airbnb Host Ever! Mohan is, without a doubt, the best host we’ve ever had in our Airbnb experience. From the moment we arrived, her wife welcomed us with warmth and kindness that is rare to find nowadays. He not only invited me and my wife to his home for a dinner but also ensured we felt like part of his family. His energetic and adorable son, Tharoon, along with his wife and other family members, truly won our hearts with their incredible hospitality. What touched us the most was Mohan’s kindness even at our departure—he came all the way to the railway station just to say goodbye. Moments like these that remind us how beautiful human connections can be. In my language (Bangla), "Mohan" means "Great." And our host Mohan is truly a man with the greatest heart. In a world that often feels cold and indifferent, people like Mohan remind us that kindness still exists. We need more Mohans in this world! Highly recommended!!!

We really enjoyed our time here, in fact the couple of times we went to the beach we soon headed back! We missed the peace and view! And the food was better! :) Such a treat to be so well looked after by Upul and Jagath, without them at all getting in the way. Lots of places in the garden to relax, lovely furniture, and great pool. Highly recommend!

The villa was the most picturesque place we stayed in Sri Lanka, right in the plantation amongst the nature. Was very clean when we arrived and they helped arrange a lovely birthday cake and drinks upon our arrival. The location was not the easiest to access however, it’s a way out of central Ahangama and tuk tuks are very hard to come by, and they charge a lot extra to come to the area. But if you want a unique stay with views you wouldn’t see anywhere else in Ahangama, I would 100% recommend!!!

I had a great stay at this apartment! The residential complex is very comfortable and quiet, and the apartment itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Everything was convenient and thoughtfully arranged. The host was very responsive and helpful, quickly answering any questions and assisting whenever needed. I definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again!

This accommodation was great for myself as a solo traveller but would also suit a family, with plenty of room and a secure entry and walled property. Is perfect to spend time around the property but also within walking distance of the main stretch of ahangama but not so close you have to worry about traffic and late night noise. Plenty of wildlife in the area but as the property is kept clean and well maintained no need to worry about them in or around the house. The owner was quick responding to any queries i had such as waste collection and local knowledge of both transportation and places to eat in or out. Over all very pleased with my stay and would definitely stay again aswell as recommend to anyone visiting the south.

The Old Clove House is a beautifully restored house set in a very private, lush yard with a stunning pool. The open-air house has lots of space for lounging together but its rooms also provide lots of privacy. The outdoor dining table is where our favourite memories were made because the meals at the Old Clove House were to die for. We are serious foodies and we were blown away at every meal. From simple but beautiful and nourishing breakfasts of fresh fruit, smoothies and crepes, to delicious lunches and dinners cooked with the freshest ingredients, the food is something we will miss the most! We are vegetarian and Tai and Pradeep blew our minds with their creativity at every meal. Highlights were the Sri Lankan curries and hoppers, the gado gado salad and amazing spring rolls, the best hummus and fresh pesto dips ever, and our magical Christmas dinner of Ottolenghi inspired dishes. Another highlight was Pradeep - the kindest man always with a smile on his face! We will be back!
