Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Matosinhos

This a true home away from home, and made our vacation just that much better! At day’s end, we looked forward to retreating to this spotless apartment that clearly has received love and care by its owner. From its art to its book collection, its spacious bedrooms and beautiful sunroom and terrace, the apartment wants for nothing. Paula is super responsive and exceptionally considerate — even providing personalized walking maps for us! I have stayed in Airbnbs all over the world, and this — by far — was my favorite. Was even better than the description — I didn’t know that was possible. Thank you, Paula, for a wonderful and memorable stay! Can’t wait to come back!

Ana was very welcoming and kind. She was also available and responsive. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. It may have lacked an oven or microwave, but there were still hotplates and cooking utensils. The location is perfect for accessing the various activities (close to downtown and the train station). On the other hand, the downstairs staircase was occupied by smokers (this brought bad smells) and the street was noisy (we woke up early in the morning).

We had a wonderful time staying at Eduardo and Patricia's place. We arrived early in Porto after our transatlantic flight, and they had the place clean and ready for us by 13h. Patricia personally welcomed us and gave a bunch of recommendations for the area. We appreciated this hospitality. The bed was very comfortable (futon-like queen mattress) and the air conditioner and shower worked well. The location is perfect. 10-15 minute walk to all the Porto highlights, so we were easily able to stop back at the apartment for a water refill or bathroom break during our sightseeing. It's a central location but this section of the street has no bars or restaurants so it's pretty quiet at night. We would stay here again on our next visit!

Communication with Luis Miguel was great and he was prompt in his replies. For us his place was at the perfect location as we like to walk everywhere. Place is well maintained and clean. Would stay there again.

Joana's house was exactly what we needed 4 adult couples from the family each from a different part of the world The house is wonderfully equipped Designed in a rustic style, inviting and the garden is well maintained The property is exactly as you see in the pictures. It was well worth it!

Jorge & Susana are brilliant hosts. they are always responsive and proactive in offering suggestions. the house was perfect for what we needed. Great restaurants in walking distance and a 20 minute Bolt ride into Porto. We would strongly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here in Porto. The apartment is at a fantastic location very close to transport links, local restaurants and shops as well as the park where you can watch the sunset over Porto. Me, my husband and our kitty feel very welcome in the house. Rosa was very polite and friendly. The house is very spacious, ventilated and sunshine. There is a wooded area in the back, great for those who like nature. The weekly cleaning is excellent.

Diogo was an exemplary host: always available, attentive and genuinely concerned about our well-being. Your kindness made the experience even more special. The space is simply stunning, perfect for resting the mind and recharging the soul. And as if the surrounding nature and tranquility of the place were not enough, we had charming visitors: adorable kittens that appeared unexpectedly and immediately won our hearts. They were a sweet and caring asset, which gave even more life to our stay. We recommend it with our eyes closed - and with our hearts full.

We had a lovely stay at Isabel’s house. It is about 25 minutes in an Uber from the centre of Porto and about 20 minutes from the airport. There is a great restaurant / bar opposite and others that are about 20 mins walk away. It is on the Camino Way so you can do a coastal walk for miles. The beach opposite is lovely but the sea was too rough to swim in unfortunately. The house itself is a little dated but it has everything you need and Isabel was a great responsive host and gave us advice on where to eat etc.

Staying tucked in at an AirBnB is not typically the highlight of the trip to a city as beautiful and full of adventure as Porto, but Ester’s place is just so wonderful that it remains one of the fondest parts of our trip. Though we did spend most of our time out and about, the view from the house is a palpable uplifting way to begin and end each day. Ester made recommendations for some fabulous local restaurants. She is simply THE most precious host ever. Her place is organically artistic (no pretense - no clutter). While the house looks like the photos, it is more spacious, more natural light and a more lovely floor plan than indicated by the photos. The garden is delightful and mostly private. This is a special place!

Carlos place is very modern. Bedrooms are spacious. All neccesary ammenities are available. Location is good for walks and short drives to Porto. It is a good base for sightseeing. Carlos itself is very communicative, responsive and flexible. So far, I think the best host I ever had.

Rui and Sergey have a lovely place. They were very friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and had excellent storage. They have since updated their main bathroom, which is now one of the nicest bathrooms I have seen (spacious, new, and great shower)!! The location was also very nice. It was far enough away from the hub of the city for quiet, but close enough to walk to Porto (25-30 min of a nice, pretty walk). The metro is also very close (8 min), which was so very convenient. Being able to use a washing machine was a huge plus too. Overall it was a great value!

This place was an intermission for us and it was perfect! The balcony was peaceful, the surrounding area was quiet compared to being in the heart of Porto which was nice. The bed was very comfortable and we could not be more thankful! Thank you. Walking distance from bus stop!

Rosario is a great host. The place is clean and well equipped. In addition, the location is great: very close to the beach and good restaurants. I only can recommend it. Will certainly return.

The accommodation is clean, well-equipped With a pool that was much appreciated , swimming or napping at the foot of the pool You have breakfast with a magnificent view of the Douro River! Hello André, Thank you for everything. The apartment is very good, it has a very spacious terrace, although the views are not very good, you can only see four rolls. Very nice touch to leave all the apps and games installed on the TV, they were a great help! Another detail to note are the good local buns and desserts, very tasty. On the other hand, there was no good night or day atmosphere, who am I kidding (well, some Darth Vader out there). Another thing to improve is the modernization of the front door. Overall, chilling, chilling in the milling.

Amazing host and base to explore nearby Porto! Luiz was extremely helpful with tips regarding restaurants, sites, and nearby day trips. He went out of his way to make sure we were finding everything useful in the city and for anything we needed in the apartment he was a quick call away. The apartment was clean and in a great location and the building has great amenities including parking, pool, gym squash, pool etc. Would definitely recommend if traveling to Porto!
