Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Matosinhos

We were traveling with a minivan, so we specifically looked for accommodation outside the city center — and this house in Porto was a great find. It’s located in a quieter neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle, yet still very accessible. Ride-hailing was easy, and many attractions were within walking distance. The house itself is surprisingly modern and beautifully renovated, which contrasts with the age and character of the building from the outside — a really cool mix of old and new. It was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. Best of all, we were able to park for free right on the street without worrying about tight underground garages — a huge plus when driving a minivan. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Porto, especially if you’re driving!

Great apartment accurately described in the listing. Toze responded quickly to every question & request. Neighborhood highlights include a fruit stand next door, Augusto Restaurant, Ribeiro Cafe owned by a sweet couple, 3 block walk to Marques metro and a bus stop in front for the #303, a circulator bus going all through downtown Porto. The apartment is also a manageable walk to downtown (about 20-25 minutes). Good for a long stay. We appreciated the washing machine on the porch off the kitchen.

We spent 5 nights in Luis apartment and could not have done better. Luis is a real "superhost", friendly, helpful and communicative. In addition to a lovely welcome with wine, beer, water and fruits, he provided us with daily sightseeing tips and dinner options. We felt completely at ease and at home. The apartment is ideally located in a pedestrian zone with stores and pubs/restaurants/cafés/supermarkets right next door. All the interesting churches, gardens, museums, market halls, riverside etc. are within walking distance. The small apartment is cozy, charming and comfortable. Thank you very much Luis. We will come next year again.

Very well located accommodation allowing walking access to all the sites of interest in Porto. Matches photos and clean. We did not meet Jorge but he was very responsive by message, and self check-in allows flexibility. Small downside regarding basic amenities: one towel and no salt or oil, only one bath towel per person. Overall we had a lovely week in Porto.

Great host and fantastic apartment in a wonderful area

Perfect when arriving by car. Close to metro, which is ideal to get into city Center. The apartment has a nice balcony and is very good especially in terms of what you pay! We loved ALL the small details in the apartment that made is feel at home. Also tailoring some spesific things to our needs.

The house is very well equipped. We had everything needed to make dinner for family of 6. There is also a very nice garden by the house with possibility for barbecue. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, with nice neighbors and a small bakery. We had 10 nice days where we could use our days to travel and to see the most famous places and then return to a cozy, private space without the city's noise. It may be an advantage to have a car when you live so "in the village". We will remember the smell from the eucalyptus forest and nice birdsong in the mornings. The host Joana is very thoughtful and pleasant. An overview has been made of various places in Medas worth a visit. She was always quick to respond to any question. It is absolutely worth spending your holiday in the yellow house in Medas. Really nice place.

We are absolutely impressed with the warmth and hospitality of Jorge and Susana! We stayed for 2 weeks and felt completely comfortable! It was spotlessly clean and cozy furnished and lovingly decorated. The bed was so comfy! Jorge and Susana were always available and even left us a few treats on arrival and during the stay. It was also great that we had a separate in the courtyard completely to ourselves. For our two dogs totally great, as they could lie in the sun all day when we were working without having to be afraid that they could run away. In 5 minutes you can walk directly to the huge sandy beach. It was fantastic and we also quickly took the neighbors to heart. Sincere thanks for the great time! We will be back!

Estefania place was exactly as described: cozy, well equipped and very clean. The location was perfect for our family trip. Quiet but few steps away from supermarkets, coffee bars, local attractions, restaurants. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

Me, my husband and our kitty feel very welcome in the house. Rosa was very polite and friendly. The house is very spacious, ventilated and sunshine. There is a wooded area in the back, great for those who like nature. The weekly cleaning is excellent.

Very close to the Luis I bridge, both upstairs and downstairs. Free parking is possible, even though there isn't too much room. There is also parking close by. Public transport almost next door. Quiet area. It is a low house, very nice and tastefully decorated. It's like in the pictures. The access to the house is very easy. As for the host, he immediately answered our questions. The only bad thing, the feeling of humidity, needs a dehumidifier.

Great stay in a beautiful well-decorated house, everything was clean and well-equipped. A very quiet area and a 15-minute walk to the beach and metro! Great location if you want to spend a few days by the ocean.

The property is located in Gaia district, and if you stop at Vila Nova de Gaia-Devesas station, you can arrive within 10 minutes by Uber. It didn't take long to get to the accommodation by Uber from the airport. ^^ It is a quiet residential area where neighbors live. The apartment is on the top floor and is a two-story house. From the moment I checked in, Louis explained this house in detail for a long time. He calmly helped me learn how to open the door. The guest room is on the second floor, and the bathroom with shower is right next to the door. It was a very neat and pretty bathroom with plants in a completely different atmosphere from the posted bathroom photos, as if it was remodeled. The view of the Doroo River, which turns red at sunrise/sunset, is so beautiful from the room. There are lots of artworks all over the house. I swept the floor of the room with a broom every morning to use it as neatly as possible in a room without a speck of dust, but I still couldn't help the hair falling out,,, hahahaha On Christmas Eve, Sergei gave me a handful of sweet snacks. Louis was very considerate of me coming in late at night. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, and a mart nearby. There was no limit on the time to use the kitchen or bathroom. Especially with the Christmas + New Year's combo, a lot of restaurants were closed, so I bought groceries at the mart and cooked comfortably in the kitchen. When I asked if the Korean food smelled a lot, he said it was okay to turn on the kitchen hood ventilator. And he was worried about the plane crash in Korea a while ago.. I didn't feel well, but thanks to Louis and Sergei, the cat maze, and the charming kitten Salvador, I had a warm and peaceful end of the year. It was a shame that I couldn't see Picasso. ^^ I went to a good place.. Anyway, it was a clean, quiet, and nice place to stay. The residents of the same apartment are also very kind and sweet^^ They smiled and greeted me as they came and went, and opened the door for me, and I had a happy time. May you always be full of good things!

It has the essentials for your stay, the apartment more than meets your needs - at least, in our case, since we only stopped to sleep. If you go by car, you can park practically at the door, for free, which is a plus. There are bus and tram stops practically next to the house, for added convenience. In our case, we have stayed with Adriana and this apartment for the second time, given the comfort and ease of the place, as well as Adriana's communication and kindness. 10/10. We'll be back for sure

Happy stay, good view and good reception.

Clean accommodation. The place is not such a highlight but ok for a stopover. In fact, you can eat fish very well and at fair prices. Opposite the apartment there is a small shop with very tasty sandwiches.

Great stay. Brilliant location for being out of Porto to access lovely beach but so easy and cheap to get train into Porto. Also used train to go other way along the coast. Apartment had everything could of needed. Very clean. Bed comfortable and large. Great amount of hot water and pressure in shower. Was plenty warm enough with heaters provided. Would definitely stay again

Great apartment with lots of space ans ideally located for exploring Porto. As mentioned in other reviews, it's ideal location does make it quite noisey at nighttime but that is the price of being walkable to lots of bars and restaurants.
