Very original accommodation with great taste. Experience in a cave to live in : )

Splendid stay in beautiful Matera, the cave is spacious and very characteristic, equipped with all comforts. We easily found the property thanks to the directions of Maria, who was very helpful; the cave is located between the Sassi but the surroundings are very quiet. The environment is really welcoming, the corner with the hot tub is super relaxing, and in general very clean.

The court of the knights is really a gem: a stone house in the Sasso Caveoso a few meters from the center, from restaurants and delicious shops, relaxation and peace in a place that seems frozen in time, very exciting indeed.

Linda's place was amazing - it has the most 'personality' of any Air B&B that I have stayed in. As soon as we sent our friends some photos - they were all saying "wow"... I really appreciated Linda giving me some handy hints on where to park our hire car and was glad when she helped me work out how to get her to her place. The mistake we made was relying on the maps link which was not accurate. I know understand that Maps are hard to use in places that are as steep as Matera. Matera was so quiet just before Christmas that we were concerned that nothing was open for dinner. This was our mistake - once 7:30/ 8pm hit, there were many amazing places to eat at. We have recommended Linda's place to some of our friends who now kow about Matera as it is not a usual place on the tourist map for a lot of Aussies doing their whirlwind trips to the other side of the world!

The apartment is very well located because it is close to both the parking lot and the main squares of the center and is very comfortable, cozy and airy. At the same time, it is located on a road without excessive passage of visitors. The experience of sleeping in a Sasso was unique, something we will remember!

Everything is wonderful. Location, location, cleanliness. Maybe just a few outdoor rushes (only two windows at the entrance). But I think it's personal taste. For the rest, everything is really super and also a kitchen provided...Thank you!

What more could we have asked for in a romantic weekend getaway?! Marilisa and Raffaele are amazing hosts who had everything prepared for our arrival. They were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs and wants. Located about 30 minutes away from Matera and about 50 minutes from Taranto, Laterza is the perfect mid point for a mountain/beach weekend. If you don’t want to travel much outside the area, Laterza itself is a beautiful city to soak in as well. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay here again!!!

Slightly over priced for a house in other cities, but well worth it.Living in the core area, living in a beautiful cave was a great experience. It's even more of a different vibe to walk around the old town at night.
