We had a fantastic stay at Melograno! The place is located in the centre of Matera which was very convenient for my elderly parents. The accommodation has an amazing view of Matera, is beautifully decorated and it is exactly how is shown on the photos. Anna is a great host very responsive and helpful. Very charming apartment, well located in the city, in a quiet area. We had a great time in Avignon.

The apartment is very well located because it is close to both the parking lot and the main squares of the center and is very comfortable, cozy and airy. At the same time, it is located on a road without excessive passage of visitors. The experience of sleeping in a Sasso was unique, something we will remember!

Amazing place in the center of Matera! We really enjoyed our stay and Vittorio was super helpful and accommodating! We’d definitely revisit when in Matera, thank you Vittorio!!

If we could leave a 10* review - we would! Do not hesitate to book Francesco’s place! He was so accommodating as we were not sure of our arrival time (we came in by bus from Salerno). He waited to greet us to explain everything! He had the lights on and candles lit so when we walked in- WOW! Soooo MAGICAL! The location is just perfect and for our two dinner meals - we ate at restaurants within steps from “our Sassi” (he recommended!!) -We would have loved to stay longer, however, our travel schedule wouldn’t allow it) You must take advantage of the Relaxation Room… it was heavenly taking a bath at night with the candles lit. Book before you miss out!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Moyseion's place for a night. It's truly an experience you won't get anywhere else in Matera. There is extremely much detail in this listing. Each room has its own theme that has a story behind it. In addition to the spaces, the staff is also extremely helpful and hospitable. You can ask them anything and they are happy to tell about the historical elements of the stay. We really enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who is in doubt! P.S. If you have any doubts about joining the rituals, be sure to do so!
