Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Massanutten

I didn’t actually check into this condo. I’m leaving a review because Airbnb and Massanutten worked together well to assist me with my cancelation. Situations like that can get sticky, but they did a great job and I felt like Massanutten deserved the 5 star review.

It was exactly what we needed.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Massanutten. The surroundings were nice and clean. The condo we rented from Brenda was spacious, clean and felt like home. We had a 2 bedroom/2bath condo with fireplace, LVP flooring, sectional sofa and balcony with a great views of the mountains and golf course. Everything we need to make meals was available in the condo and grocery stores were just a 10 min drive away. We purchased tickets for the water park and adventure park which had lots to do. We will definitely plan to go back again during the summer months.

Gorgeous apartment in a prime location. We would seriously live there! We loved getting takeout from RPK and enjoying wine and dinner on their deck. Fantastic hiking just a few miles away—if we weren’t so sore we would’ve taken advantage of the gym downstairs. 😊. Will absolutely book again. Thanks to Susan and Gordon for a lovely stay.

We had a great time at Ann’s place! She was very communicative and easy/quick to reach whenever we had a question. The place was was so comfortable and we really enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi after our long days on the slopes. Would definitely recommend!

Great place and responsive host.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gregory's place! We were walking distance from the pool, which was great. We were traveling with our toddler daughter, and the condo had everything we needed in terms of space, kitchen, bathtub, etc. We brought a clip-on high chair and pack n play. The only note I'll add for others' awareness is that check in took a while. We arrived on a Saturday around 5 p.m. and the lines were very long. We were also originally in the North lobby until we realized lines were shorter and I believe check in for this condo was only available in the South lobby anyway. This is not to take away from the beautiful stay we had, but I know it can be helpful to know for planning, especially when traveling with kids!

The place was absolutely gorgeous and the apartment was very nice. We had an issue at check-in because the instructions stated to go to the South Lobby for a Saturday check-in, but it was closed and we had to go to the North Lobby. Please update the instructions.

We love Massanutten Resort and we got a better deal using Horace and Air bnb than the sale special offered at the resort!

Beautiful regal vistas unit at front of resort which was perfect for us and our family attending JMU graduation! Daniel was very helpful before and after our visit and always answered with timely responses.

Very clean, excellent communication with the host, we will be back. Highly recommended.

So much to say!! Khan’s place was beyond beautiful!! Both were very responsive to our needs and very helpful with check-in and checkout. Harry even helped us find something valuable that we left at the home! Much appreciated!! This home is well worth the money!! Beautiful scenery and the house was spotless!! The outside showed the beautiful view of Blue Ridge Mountains, so much that my son wanted to skip most of our attractions and stay home! The home was very spacious and fit our needs, and the outside fire pit was beautiful at night. Inside the home was BEAUTIFUL! Beautiful furniture, great amenities! My dad is a hard man to please, but he gave so many compliments on the house and was happy to meet Harry! THANK YOU for letting my family stay here! Would definitely love to come back!

This place was beautiful!! Definitely the nicest, cleanest, & most thoughtfully stocked vacation rental we've had. Had everything you need and more - so appreciated the little things like bug spray and sunscreen!Was also easy to find/get to (tho may want AWD in winter) and convenient for the national park and Luray Caverns. Giselle was also extremely responsive to questions for suggested activities and concerns about how the weather (flash flood warning) may affect the roads, & gave us a heads-up about a potential power outage after a storm. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to this area!

We spent a wonderful long weekend at Riverbend Summit Lodge. 5 bedrooms+6½ bathrooms, it's very cozy for 9 pple of us. We really love this house and would like come back again. The view is incredible & we were so lucky to able to see lots stars every night. High ceiling living room makes the space so open and bright, good for senior people. Master bedroom has luxurious Jacuzzi tub, my kid loves to enjoy alone. Ey Man was so nice and respond my messages right away. He even scheduled a pool service on next day, which to keep the hot tub water quality clean&balanced. We all enjoyed it. Only 1 thing bothers me is when giving out the address before we heading there. We drove about 6hrs to there. When we around the area, it's already dark & no street lights. Our live GPS and off-map couldn’t locate the house. My kid & I were so terrified in a dark narrow street place. Hope Ey Man may provide more add'l info or direction more earlier, like GPS coordinates number and street name. Thank you.

We really loved staying here! The house in a nice quiet location and it was a quick drive to a lot of fun things! Woodstock 15 mins away has a lot of fun shops and restaurants and it was about 40 mins to Luray. Tons of wineries and breweries around if you like that too. Siddhi had some good recommendations for local places to kayak and hang out! The house itself was the perfect place to rest at the end of busy days. We loved the creek outback and the outdoor seating area!

Very convenient location to everywhere we needed to go in the Town of Bridgewater. Christine was very responsive with questions and requests plus we felt very welcome there. Her home was a great place for my family to relax and visit with our loved ones and make many new wonderful memories.

I will always stay at Fred’s place if it’s available.

A very pretty house to spend a few days in. It was extremely well stocked. The kitchen had every sort of appliance, plate, and tool you might need. The foosball and ping-pong table were fun and board games were plentiful. We really enjoyed the fireplace. The driveway, as described, was indeed steep. With any ice or snow, you do need a four-wheel-drive vehicle. It was clear weather during our stay and we were fine in our sedan.

This was our second time staying at this airbnb and our expectations were once again exceeded! We found the house to be extremely clean, well appointed, and with amenities that far exceed what you’d normally find at an AirBnB. The three couples on this trip all loved to cook and the kitchen had everything needed to make a world class dinner. The hot tub was clean and ready to go when we arrived and the screened in porch with space heaters was perfect for fall nights. The AirBNB is located in a quiet peaceful neighborhood close to Lost River State Park for those that enjoy hiking and is only 20 minutes away from Wardensville (highly recommend stopping at the Lost River Trading Post). We will definitely stay here again!
