The barac lodge where we had the pleasure of ending our honeymoon for a few days exceeded our expectations. Great welcome, Sébastien is a considerate host and offers very good advice. The site is perfect, its pool is superb with exceptional views of a very beautiful waterfall. I highly recommend this cottage.

The location was convenient for walking into the little village of Cubjac with many surrounding towns within an hours drive. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed which was perfect as we cooked most of our meals at the house. We also appreciated the charcoal grill. The property was absolutely stunning. We were in awe of the main house as we drove up the driveway. We enjoyed walking around the garden and on the trails in the surrounding woods. The bed was comfortable and the dining room, living room, and outdoor seating was perfect for 2 couples. The bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was good for showers. We did learn that you won’t get hot water if you try to shower while the dishwasher is running. 😂 Communication with Catherine and Maxence was great. They were always responsive and Maxence very insightfully helped us plan our itineraries for several day trips including markets, wineries, hikes, and gardens.

Beautiful estate in a beautiful area. Lots to do, walks, cycling along the Dordogne, Bergerac or just quiet by the pool. Pleasant contact with the owner.
