Family-friendly vacation rentals in Marawila

Mangala, a super host with a heart of gold! After three weeks of travelling around Sri Lanka we returned to Mangala's for our last two nights. It felt as though we had come home. She made us so welcome and sat and listened to all our news. Mangala arranged and joined us for a tour of Colombo and helped us get the best price for some last minute shopping. She arranged our airport drop off and the driver she had arranged on our arrival that collected us from Kandy and stayed with us for four days was excellent. All drivers, highly recommended, were from nklanka tours and holiday. Mangala's bungalow has a homely feel, warm colours and a tranquil garden with so many beautiful, colourful birds that fill the air with delightful tropical bird song. Her garden is so very natural and full of wonderful things to eat. Thank you, Mangala, for making our stay so very special.

Our stay at this beautiful house couldn’t have been a better way to end our two week tour of Sri Lanka. The open plan design and positioning of the house in its large private grounds is stunning with plenty of space to unwind. The large swimming pool offered hours of fun for us all to relax around and reflect on our amazing journey. Desh and Vasana looked after us so well and the food was some of the best we tasted on our tour. I would highly recommend this place as a start or end to your holiday as it’s only an hour from the airport.

We just had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 nights over the Sri Lankan New Year. The staff on site were wonderfully attentive and friendly. Breakfast was fresh juice, fruit, toast and eggs. We opted to eat dinner there too and it was also excellent- grilled fish and curry. Good value as well. The kids loved the pool while my wife enjoyed being away from the more touristy areas, but only a short tuk tuk ride from supermarket, coffee shop and gym. Would definitely recommend for a few days relaxation! The staff also went above and beyond when my wife forgot some medicine- one jumped on a bus for 2 hours to bring it to her! Fantastic all round!

we felt really welcomed from the beginning. Harscha and his family were super nice and accommodating! He even picked us up at the airport and brought us to the next bus station at the end of our stay and helped us getting in the right bus! Maybe you should know that the living room is open so little animals and mosquitoes can come in easily but the sleeping area is closed so that was not a problem for us:)

very clean and well-equipped apartment... upstairs of a family living below very nice and discreet and present if needed... a unique air conditioning in the room which is paid for and is not reported as such. very close to the big traffic of the city and the sea, but far enough away to sleep properly!!

Pushpa’s apartments are set inside a lovely gated garden next to their home, the place is very calm and tranquil. A great place to stay for the first or last few days of your trip if you are flying in/out of Colombo Bandaranaike airport. The apartment is really pretty with views of the green garden. Close to some nice restaurants and bars, and of course Negombo beach. Pushpa is friendly and welcoming.

Our family of 8 had the most incredible time staying at Upul's beautiful beach house in Negombo. The property is stunning, located just a few meters away from the beach, offering breathtaking views and easy access to the shore. It’s hard to believe such a gem is so unbelievably affordable! The house itself is spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for a family getaway. A special mention to the caretaker—she is one of the sweetest and most hospitable people we've ever met. The meals she prepared were absolutely delicious and added so much warmth to our experience. Upul, the host, was incredibly accommodating and ensured everything was perfect for our stay. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the experience even better. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations and left us with cherished memories.
