This is a Lake house on Berry Lake. Enjoy the lake sitting on the porch enjoy your drink of choice while watching the ducks and swans swim across the lake. Bring your fishing poles and fish from the dock. You can launch your canoe or kayaks from the community beach area just a short distance from the house. It is super peaceful aside from the train that passes through the back (maybe 2 times a day). Enjoy evening dinners on the patio while watching the sunset. We enjoyed our stay at this nice house near Rush Lake when visiting from out of state for a lake swim. Very quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen is well-organized. House was very clean. Good location, short drive to Busch's grocery store, which is a real bonus. Rented kayaks and enjoyed seeing the cool birds (heron/swans) on the lake.

Megan and Rob were exceptional hosts. We rented their cottage to host our family Thanksgiving, and Megan had even gone the extra mile by decorating the house for us. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The kitchen and dining room were equipped with everything one would need to comfortably stay there for a weekend, let alone host a dinner for a family of 15.

It’s my first AirB&B, it is a lake cottage, reminiscent of a time when life was not complicated. A time when vacation meant making memories that would last a lifetime. It was well furnished,and very comfortable. There are lounge chairs in the front closet and a fire pit in the back yard. At the residence we were only steps from the water’s edge.

We loved staying at Joannes! The house was very clean and cozy. The house was stocked with everything you may need while away from home and more. I loved that they had chargers! So handy! We were in town for a hiking event and plan to attend every spring and we hope to be able to book with Joanne again. The hot tub was extra nice after we hiked 22 miles at Waterloo. We loved looking out into the River. I've stayed at several Air BNBs and Joannes place was perfect.

Karen is kind, friendly and helpful. The house was clean and comfortable, although, we spent most of out time outside and in the lake. I loved the pink flamingo floaty, it was so hard to say goodbye. 🫠 We also enjoyed the canoe, kayaks and the round floating thing with a spot for us all. We were able to sit back and visit on the beautiful and peaceful lake. The lake was not busy even though the weather was perfect and it was Labor Day weekend. We saw a golf cart parade go by and an ice cream truck stopped for us!!! Thank you Karen for your hospitality! We will be back again!

Stayed here for the holidays. Would definitely stay here again. Host was responsive, accommodating, and had plenty of “extras”. So many times we pack a bag of things that aren’t supplied but was pleasantly surprised by what was already there. Would recommend and would stay again!

We would like to thank to the host, we really enjoyed staying over there. The house is beautiful and perfectly located on lake. We had all the stuff inside in a house, so you don’t need to worry that essentials won’t be there. Owner replied to our questions really fast, and gave us all the answers we needed. We have been pleased at staying over there, and I would highly recommend this house.
