The Bungalow

AaronRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I booked with John for a last minute snowmobile trip. Plenty of room for a truck and trailer. Direct access to the trails. Walkable distance to restaurants and bars John was overly helpful and a pleasure to deal with! 10/10! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you.

Acadia Lobsterman's Coastal Bungalow

MahaRating, 5 stars18 months ago
Really enjoyed staying here while visiting Acadia National Park. The place itself is small, but well-organized in terms of floor space. One of the biggest highlights was being able to walk to the beach in 2 minutes & view Acadia from across the water. Another highlight is sitting out on the porch (quietly) around dusk and watching the wild deer roam out front. I also liked that the property is surrounded by other residences on the lane (which made it feel more secure). Elizabeth was a great host she left very clear check-in instructions & was easily reachable. I'd stay again! Some things to note: -If you're coming in late be mindful of the dark and windy roads (especially because of the wild deer population among other wildlife). -The heater is also somewhat temperamental so be prepared to play around & adjust if you're coming during a cold season. -Acadia is more like a 35-minute drive from the house.
A scenic lakeside view features neatly arranged Adirondack chairs on a lush green lawn. The chairs face a wooden dock extending over the calm water, surrounded by tall trees. A serene atmosphere is created by the gentle ripples of the lake and distant forest.

Classic Lake House - Cochnewagon Lake Monmouth, ME

JamesRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house made a great place for my family to get together to visit with my brother and his wife who live in Monmouth. The living room is spacious and has a nostalgic feel to it. It snowed while we were there so we did not get a chance to use the screened in porch (which we did make good use of in the Fall of 2023) but the views of the lake from the main house were very nice. The roads were cleared very quickly so we had no problem driving back and forth to the Portland airport (which I ended up doing daily due to travel schedules) or visiting a local winery for lunch. The only issue we had was with the address. It is listed as 72 Beach Rd but it is actually 56 Beach Rd. We arrived after dark so even though we had been there before it was a little difficult to find the house. Kathleen had left a light on out front but we still managed to drive past it on the way in. The road is dark.
A serene river scene is captured, with calm waters reflecting the surrounding lush greenery. The vegetation along the bank creates a natural frame, enhancing the tranquil ambiance of the area, inviting peaceful moments by the water's edge.

Cosy cabin in rustic setting.

IssacRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This little cabin in the woods was perfect for a retreat into the heart of Maine. The road to the Cabin was little bumpy, but we made due. Would certainly recommend having an SUV or larger car to handle that road. The Cabin itself was very clean and well stocked with all of your usual amenities! We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Delight's Cabin for a quiet getaway!
