Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Maine

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful and quiet time of rest at The Rising Tides. The setting is absolutely serene. It’s very secluded and quiet, the perfect place for a week of rest and relaxation. We went hiking on the Cliff Trail (15 minutes away and a very nice hiking trail), watched the sunrise at the Lands End store on Bailey island (15-20 minutes), and kayaked in the cove. The grill was very nice and we enjoyed cooking on it regularly. The place was very clean and ready on our arrival. The host communicated very clearly. You will need to follow her driving directions as they are very clear and helpful. In our four days there we only saw 1 neighbor - and that was as we were leaving on the weekend. There’s a grocery store only 15 minutes away and we were able to stock up on our way there. Really, this was one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed. We really enjoyed having a few options of things to do while also being able to just do nothing on our vacation in a quiet place.

Incredible property with jaw-dropping views. I loved watching the tides come in everyday and there's a lot of cool birds and wildlife. The area for feedback I have is that the mattresses are all really firm which made sleeping a little rough. I still rate the property 5 stars and think it's the perfect getaway accommodation for visitors of Acadia. Also the hot tub is nice after sore hiking muscles!

We had such a great stay here! The house is in a beautiful location on a super cute lake and we were able to sit outside and go on the paddle boat. Amy was super responsive and helpful. The house was very comfortable and clean! Would definitely stay again.

Amazing place, host was super kind and accommodated my family’s last minute booking since we were cancelled on twice that week! We are super happy we found this adorable beautiful place that ended up being better than the other places would have been anyway!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful lakefront home! The house is spacious and well-stocked, with plenty of room for everyone to relax, including a great kitchen and big dining table perfect for shared meals and games. The private access to the lake was absolutely incredible, with a dock, beach area, and fun water gear like kayaks, a paddle boat, and floaties. Falling asleep to the sound of the water lapping and hearing loons call at night was truly magical. The property feels very private and quiet, and the host and local manager were incredibly warm and responsive. It’s a pretty remote area, so best to come prepared with groceries and a plan to fully unplug and unwind "at home." Lake life at its best!

This place was located in such a beautiful space. The house was great, spacious, and clean for five of us and the scenery was jaw dropping. We cooked most nights and Michelle had everything we needed. We also loved using the kayaks, hanging out watching the NBA finals from the hot tub and reading on the deck. The drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia was only about an hour away and we would eat late lunches at the variety of restaurants in that area. Schoondic Point is also a must see! Staying at this location was a great way to experience Maine with our family.

This place has the best of what Maine offers. A ocean view with a pebbled beach on the front side with plenty of rocks and sea glass hunting and a quiet cove on the back that you can explore with the two supplied kayaks. The location is very inviting and the neighbors were friendly and gave us some great insight into the local area. There is plenty to do within an hour of the house from shopping, exploring other beaches or getting a taste of the local cuisine. If you like oysters we would recommend OystHERS in Bath. Our favorite beach was Popham where you can watch the harbor seals play at the mouth of the river. Overall this was a great family getaway and one that made lasting memories.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was impeccable with an incredible view of the ocean. We had everything we could want. Marsha was a wonderful host and we’re so glad we stayed here!

Pam's place was wonderful spot for our trips back and forth to Acadia. Away from the crowds of Bar Harbor and only a short drive. The place is cute, quaint and well stocked. Very pleasant stay!

We had a great week here. The location was great for walking into town. The apartment was quiet, clean, and had everything we needed. The Wi-Fi was also plenty fast for a bit of work.

Pat’s home was so clean and lovely, the surrounding area is so beautiful. Really great location.

The spot was clean, well-maintained, and in a great location with an easy walk to downtown. Hot tub was great too! We appreciated the privacy in the back area and the flexibility to bring our dog as well.

The place was amazing, such a great find! The hosts laid out check-in and check-out instructions very clearly and offered an abundance of amenities to make our stay more enjoyable. They offered toiletries, tide pods, cooking spices, coffee, books- the list could really go on and on. It really felt like a home away from home! Thank you to our wonderful hosts, we hope to visit again!!

Arian’s house is so lovely. It’s cozy, modern and very clean. The house is in an excellent location close to restaurants and walking paths. Arian was responsive and helpful. We highly recommend his place if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Portland

This is a beautiful Airbnb. Pictures are exact. I don't think I've stayed at a cleaner Airbnb - it was spotless. I loved that all the windows had curtains or shades since the windows face the private backyard area. It was great having a suitcase holder stand. Although in the basement of someone's home I didn't hear a thing. The location is not walkable, but just a couple mile drive will get you to dunkin donuts, yummies candy store, the outlets in Kittery and a few more minutes over the bridge and you are in Portsmouth. It was a lovely stay. I would highly recommend.

It was a spectacular place to stay. Beautiful location and our host was super accommodating and helpful beyond what could be expected, including activities for the nearby area printed out and left in the cabin. It is off grid with no AC so it's not the experience for everyone, but if you know what you're getting in for is the best you could ever hope for and more.

Perfect for our weekend getaway to relax and visit family! Terrill provides lots of local recommendations and describes her place in detail so you know what to expect. She wants you to be happy and not surprised. I had a wonderful nap in the hammock and the queen bed was very comfortable. My husband loved hearing the frogs at night. Their dog Pippa is a sweetheart. Appreciated access to the shower in the hosts lovely studio space. Terrill’s communication was great. We are looking forward to our next visit.

100% would recommend. this place was so beautiful, well kept and clean. Large private property and not a neighbor in sight. Anyone that passes up an opportunity to stay here would be foolish. he hope to stay again next year. Also for my mtb friends, this gem is perfectly located between so many trails and the resort it so worth it. The hot tub is a welcome addition after a long day of sight seeing or riding.

this place was incredible! we live in Maine but we just wanted a nice place to spend our anniversary, and boy was this place amazing! Kate reached out a few weeks before with instructions on how to get there, and again a couple days before, and she was very responsive when I asked her a couple questions. this cabin is extremely private, so clean and cozy, and so so so beautiful. that screened in porch is lovely, with a breeze coming in and the birds chirping... it's heaven. we went for a little walk through the paths that are on the property as well. it was very romantic, comfy and relaxing - perfect spot for a getaway!

We loved it here and definitely will be back! Gorgeous location and felt secluded even though there’s other homes on the fond. The sun room was perfect for a rainy game day! Very private location, but easy to find!

Mark’s place was a wonderful retreat and the perfect spot for our peaceful getaway. The cabin is in a secluded location, it was private and tranquil, while still being within an hour’s drive to Bar Harbor, ME. I will say, be sure to follow the detailed directions Mark provides when arriving—it made finding the cabin easier. Inside, the cabin is absolutely stunning—thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated, with everything you need for a cozy, comfortable stay. The kitchen is has top-of-the-line appliances, making it a dream if you’re planning to cook during your stay. Just remember to keep in mind there is not a microwave. We also really enjoyed relaxing outside at night. The hot tub was perfect for unwinding under the stars.

Cabin was cute and cozy, fun to stay in the woods of their farm property. Had all we needed for a wonderful relaxing time, very easy. Loved listening to all the birds while having coffee on the porch.
