Today you can relax here on the 7x4 m terrace, make yourself comfortable in the great kitchen with fireplace, enjoy the river landscape, fishing, standup paddling or chill in the approx. 1000 sqm garden. The house is a single monument and belongs to the lock. The lock is in operation and is maintained and serviced by the Water and Shipping Authority.

The historic house was lovingly renovated from the ground up in 2025/2026 and combines special charm with modern comfort. The train station, shopping facilities and swimming pool are within easy reach.

About 15 km west of Aken, the Saale flows into the Elbe. Aken is a beautiful little town surrounded by many attractions in Saxony-Anhalt. Take a trip by bus, car or bicycle and explore the surroundings.
