Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Machico

We felt very relaxed and comfortable at Antonio’s lovely house and the garden and views were impressive. We appreciated the interesting features in the garden with its nature feel and enjoyed the pool and sauna which we thought was a real asset for the place. The house is interesting and cared about and Antionio was an excellent and helpful host. We were glad of the car we hired to access shops, restaurants, beach and walking areas as without one would be difficult but it suited us really well as 4 adults who wanted a base from which to explore Madeira.

We absolutely loved being right on the ocean! It was within feet of the house!- with the waves crashing and the patio where we ate all our meals, provided an excellent ambiance for our trip. We stayed 6 nights and were so glad we didn’t move around to other places. The promenade next to the house is very scenic and offered a one mile round trip walk along the ocean . Watching the surfers was also a plus.

Our stay at Casa Nobrega was simply magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed — the thoughtful gift waiting for us was such a lovely surprise and really set the tone for the rest of our stay. Our hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, available whenever we had a question but also respectful of our space. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. What stood out most was the absolute peace and quiet — just birdsong and ocean breezes. The rooftop patio was the highlight for us: sipping wine at sunset with panoramic views of the sea and mountains felt like something out of a dream. The photos don’t do it justice. This is a rare kind of place — beautifully maintained, filled with charm, and surrounded by nature. If you’re looking for serenity, comfort, and a truly special stay in Madeira, Casa Nobrega is it. We’re already dreaming about coming back!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit herrlicher Aussicht aufs Meer hinunter. Sehr schön waren auch die vielen Pflanzen in und an der Unterkunft. Sie ist ruhig gelegen und es empfiehlt sich ein Mietwagen (Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus). Zum Wandern ist die Lage großartig, in der Nähe gibt einen Einstieg zu einen der Levadas von Madeira. Wer fit ist, kann sogar direkt nach Rabaçal, Risco und 25 Fontes aufsteigen. Silvia war sehr freundlich und die Kommunikation war sehr schnell. Ich habe meinen Urlaub sehr sehr genossen.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad met zijn vijven. Het ontbrak aan niets, werkelijk alles was aanwezig (zelfs een kaasschaaf, fijn voor een Nederlander😅). Ook een heerlijke buitenruimte met voldoende meubilair voor ons allen. Een aanrader. Ik zou graag nog eens komen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BHF Residence. Odette was a wonderful host, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and responding immediately to a mix up with our keys. The residence is located in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood with a view of the ocean, and easy access to restaurants and stores as well as some of the better hiking trails. The layout of the house is perfect for two couples, had all the amenities one would want and everything was super clean. Would highly recommend staying here.

Ce logement atypique sur plusieurs étages est très beau et parfaitement bien aménagé. Nous avons profité des 3 espaces extérieurs. Accueil apprécié avec une belle attention à notre arrivée (fleurs, vin, bière, eau, chocolat). Nous avons également été bien conseillées pour nos sorties et restaurants. A noter : Pas évident pour moi de me garer correctement sur la place de parking mais il est possible de se garer sur un parking en bas de la rue. Nous sommes ravies de notre séjour chez Adriana

Vi mødte Hugo, som er super venlig, imødekommende og altid klar til at hjælpe med at besvare spørgsmål hvad angår boligen eller anbefalinger til aktiviteter og restauranter på Madeira. Boligen er helt som beskrevet og som vist på billederne - helt ren og nydelig indrettet med alt, hvad man skal bruge til en ferie i stille omgivelser. Et fantastisk ophold, som jeg kun kan anbefale andre også prøver.

Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt! Christina und Aleixo sind außergewöhnliche Gastgeber. Sie haben uns spontan vom Flughafen abgeholt und auch wieder hingebracht – ein unglaublicher Service! Dank ihrer Hilfe konnten wir unkompliziert und ohne versteckte Kosten einen Roller mieten. Gemeinsam waren wir in lokalen Restaurants essen und haben so die Insel authentisch erlebt. Die Unterkunft war noch schöner als beschrieben – sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet. Was diesen Urlaub aber wirklich besonders gemacht hat, war ihre herzliche, fast familiäre Art. Sie waren jederzeit erreichbar, hatten tolle Insider-Tipps für Ausflüge und haben sich einfach rührend um uns gekümmert. Wir haben uns nicht wie Gäste, sondern wie Freunde gefühlt. Vielen Dank für diese wundervolle Zeit – wir kommen wieder!

es war ein wirklich sehr schönes großes haus mit einem paradisischem Balkon und einen herrlichen Ausblick über das ganze Dorf auf knappen 300 höhenmeter. Auto muss man ganz klar besitzen,sonst könnte es problematisch sein. kalt wird es tatsächlich nachts und morgens auch, aber dafür gibt es immerhin mobile heizgeräte in der wohnung. Kakerlaken sind uns leider auch beim direkten Bezug aufgefallen, nachdem wir jedoch 5 stück beseitigt hatten, haben wir kein Problem mehr damit gehabt

Super Lage in der Innenstadt, in max 5 Minuten ist alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Küche und der Kühlschrank waren gut falls man mal nicht auswärts essen wollte. Alles perfekt !!!

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable chez Ivone et Garry. L’appartement dispose d’une vue incroyable sur la mer et tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter pour un prochain séjour à Madère !

Nous sommes restés 5 nuits dans le studio de Joanna. Tout était parfait,l appartement est sur une propriété très calme, situé idéalement pour visiter le nord de l'île . l appartement était très propre , bien équipé et très bonne literie. Nous pouvions utiliser les chaises longues extérieure. les petits déjeuner peuvent être pris dehors . Joanna nous offert des oeufs ,pains,confiture, fromage et charcuterie ... Excellente communication avec Joana. Nous avons beaucoup aime notre séjour et nous recommandons à 100% Bio Quinta Do Pântano.

This accommodation is a peaceful, secluded gem surrounded by beautiful nature. Though tucked away, it’s still close to major attractions. The view from the kitchen is stunning — perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. Marco was very communicative and responded quickly to any questions. A great spot to relax and recharge! Thank you!

It was just the way we expected, too bad the jacuzzi needed so much time to warm up that we didnt use it.

Gostei muito. É preciso ter apenas em atenção o caminho que o Google Maps nos dá mas uma vez conhecendo o caminho certo, nada a apontar!

J’ai passé une semaine de vacances absolument parfaite dans cette magnifique maison située à Madère. Le logement est spacieux, très confortable, impeccablement propre, et idéalement situé pour découvrir l’île. Tout est pensé pour qu’on s’y sente bien, et ça a vraiment été le cas. Franchement, je ne vois rien à redire tout était au top du début à la fin. Je recommande ce logement à 100 % et je n’hésiterai pas une seconde à y revenir lors d’un prochain séjour à Madère. We enjoyed our stay at one bedroom villa. Garden with herbs, pool, view and the house were spectacular. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful here, we would definitely come back. Check in and all communications with Fabrice Ana and Shelom were responsive and helpful, definitely recommend.

Wat een prachtige villa. We komen zeker terug. De host was zeer adequaat. Het kapotte broodrooster werd direct vervangen. Een heerlijke vakantie gehad.

Wir haben und in der Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Maria empfangen und auch wieder verabschiedet. 🤗 Die Kommunikation mit Mário lief auch super, er war immer erreichbar und hat sich auch während unseres Aufenthalts mehrmals nach uns erkundigt. 👍🏼 Auch die Lage der Wohnung ist top. Man hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick und kann Madeira von dort aus gut erkunden 🤗 Ansonsten war die Wohnung mit allem ausgestattet, was wir benötigt haben. Wie können sie sehr weiterempfehlen. Wenn wir mal wieder aus Madeira sind, wäre das unsere erste Anlaufstelle. 🫶🏼

I absolutely loved staying here. The photos do not do the place justice. It really is a beautiful house. It’s so very quiet there too. I loved being in the garden to do yoga on the platform, surrounded by plants. The hosts added so many little touches that were really appreciated- plenty of soap, herbs in the cupboard, a bottle of wine, books ….. I really did not want to leave. There are not many beautiful, very quiet places to stay. We were only 15 minutes from Funchal!

Wir hatten wunderbare Tage in der Unterkunft und würden diese jeder Zeit wieder buchen. Es war alles vorhanden was man brauchte und sehr sauber.

We loved our stay at the rock villa's. We were very sad to leave - we hope to have the opportunity to return. The villa itself was beautiful (as pictured in the ad), clean, comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. Fabrice was a superb host, friendly and attentive. The location was great, easy enough to find and very peaceful. The view was magic.
