Andrea was a great host! She helped us with some good local tips as we were visiting during winter with very few places open and road closures! The place was also great to stay with all amenities needed! Thank you for having us! Hope to visit again 😊

Lovely little room in a roadside motel, everything had beautiful attention to detail, comfy bed in a room that was on the smaller side. It is by the road, not a problem for us, but to note if you’re sensitive to noise. Doug was extremely welcoming and also seems to be a gorgeous place to use as a hiker. Highly recommend!

Armando is a great guy. Goodness the coffee he makes after he received you with a big smile. The entire place gives you a home feeling right away. The house with the view we had was the best one in a long time. The stove inside made it perfect! Thank you for all your kindness!

Stayed for a wedding in Camp Nelson, beautiful space, super clean and new. Great location

Beautiful place, when you step outside you’re surrounded by steep mountains. There is a small grassy area with benches next to the room, perfect for eating a meal outside. The town doesn’t offer much apart from a gas station, but there’s a charm to that. The road next to the location can be a little rowdy if you can’t handle sounds at night, but there’s nothing to be done about that.

Absolutely amazing stay! The views were stunning, and the place was spotless and beautifully set up. The host had truly thought of everything we could possibly need for a super comfortable and relaxing stay. Would love to come back!

What a great place to stay! Liesl and Marcel provided thorough, timely instructions on how to find the home, how to access it, as well as thoughtful recommendations for area activities and food. All recommendations they provided were spot-on! The home was better than expected....extremely quiet, clean, private.....everything one could ask for when trying to "get away from it all." This is our 3rd stay here and we keep coming back because we always have a wonderful time. The view from balcony is gorgeous and you are just a short drive to Kernville. We also appreciate how clean the place is and the amenities to make the stay more comfortable like extra blankets, the patio fire pit, and kitchen ware.

Our group had a great time at Lisa’s place. It looked just like the photos, if not better. The view from the kitchen was very scenic and the town was quaint and quiet. Plenty of deer in the town to see! The kitchen was sufficiently equipped to made a good meal and there were plenty of games to play. A perfect setting for making new memories with your friends and loved ones. The beds were a little too soft for our groups liking but were livable. Definitely worth checking out Belknap Camp and the Soda Spring not too far away. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend Lisa’s place for a quiet mountain getaway.

This was our 8th time staying at Rio's Ranch. Always a pleasure and very relaxing. The views are spectacular and Mike and Diana are exceptional hosts. Their home is always clean and well equipped and is relatively isolated from neighboring properties, affording a quiet, peaceful stay. Trails are accessible to the south from the house, and other, popular trails are a short drive away. Rio's Ranch is our first choice. And it's pet friendly!
