Oakwood Hide,Drumnadrochit, Highland studio Cabin.

MarcRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Oakwood Hide was our first hub during our Highlands tour and we just loved it. It's a one room lodge but actually quite spacy and equiped with everything one needs to have a good time, prepare meals etc ... The view on the mountains from the front windowis amazing and the garden provides a very peacefull setting. The lodge itself was nicely constructed and utterly clean. Kyle and Justin were constantly standby if we needed help but otherwise totally respected our privacy. Drumnadrochit is not too far from the lovely Inverness and basically situated on the banks of the renowned Loch Ness lake (we just missed the monster ...). It holds two cosy restaurants and a visit of the Urquhart Bay Wood is certainly recommendable. Thanks a lot, Kylie and Justin, for having us, we truly enjoyed our stay.

Squirrels Leap

MartinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Squirrel’s Leap is a magical cottage which matches all descriptions and exceeded expectations in terms of space and facilities. Brian is super friendly and helpful, and the wildlife in their garden was astonishing. Badgers coming for a peanut treat just outside the window and red squirrels all over the place! We spent our full day here between Urquhart Castle and Glen Affric, and had a wonderful time. Would whole heartedly recommend!

If Paradise is half as nice, like cottage 4 with squirrels and deer. Who needs Paradise, I'd rather stay here... We had a wonderful time on the Loch (s) with beautiful brown trouts, and our (often sunny) terrace... We will certainly come back for a longer stay near the Monadh Liath mountains.

The accommodation is lovely, superb views over Loch Tay. Upstairs area is very spacious, well equipped throughout. Thoughtful touches left such as tea, coffee, sugar, shortbread and milk. Kim also messaged to let us know the place would be ready earlier than the listed checkin time which we really appreciated.

The promise of the view was fabulous and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for a peaceful and secluded place, this is the place. It is not perfectly placed if you are looking for tourist places to visit but the place is enough for itself for a few nights and it is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the calm. The bedrooms and living rooms are very beautiful and well decorated. Thank you for providing a beautiful home like this.

Absolutely beautiful. We had the most wonderful stay. The house was perfect for us and our friends. Josephine was always responsive and was able to let us check out later than usual, which was most appreciated. To be able to wander around Eilean Donan Castle at any time we wanted was extra special. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Detached House with Stunning Loch View near Skye.

JonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved the quiet rural setting on the loch with colours changing in the light all day long. The villages and towns in the area had some good restaurants and we found many places for long walks. The facilities at the house were adequate for cooking and leisure. The only downside, which did not affect us really, were some peculiarities that we've never before encountered in the many airBNBs we have rented in the past: several rooms, closets and cupboards were locked and off-limits; and many rather unnecessary "polite advice" signs posted. In our previous experience, the number of guests has had no effect on access.

Rock Cottage, Highland Perthshire Rural Retreat

RhonaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Rock Cottage was a great ‘study camp’ for my daughter in the run-up to her exams. The house was immaculate and very much a home from home. The beds were very comfortable. The highlight, though, is outdoors - the wild garden is enchanting and full of bird life - we loved sitting in the sun room watching the swallows outside, followed by the bats at dusk. It’s in a very peaceful location but only a short drive to Kenmore or Aberfeldy for shops and restaurants. We’d love to be back!

Balmore, Main Street, Killin

StephenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lived up to expectations and photos, reviews ect prior to arrival were fair and accurate. Nothing to do with Julie, be aware that the local restaurants offered a different menu to what was actually on websites apart from The Courie Inn which was spot on. Again nothing to do with the Balmore which was spot on. Brilliant location, four male adults who used it as a base for hillwalking, golf and offering our views on nearly every drink available in Killin. Highly recommend

Nicolson Cottage @Mackenzie House - Explore NC500

We loved the place, and is actually better than it looks in the pictures. A lovely cottage , very spacious and well located. Clancy is a lovely host, very responsive and recommended places for us to visit. Checked in with us to ensure we were settled, got us milk and eggs and little treats, which we found extremely thoughtful and useful considering we were visiting just before Christmas. Would highly recommend this place, the village is small but nice and easily walkable. Drivable distance from Inverness, Ullapool, Loch Ness and other places. Would happily stay again.

Dundonnachie House (License PK11066F)

We had a great stay at Vicky’s lovely, well-maintained house. Communication with Vicky and her husband was quick and helpful throughout. The house itself is full of character, with two comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living area. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we appreciated the nice toiletries. The location is fantastic — right in the center of a lively village with great cafes and restaurants just a short walk away. We also enjoyed a beautiful nature walk nearby (The Birks). Parking right in front of the house was a big plus. Only regret: the weather was too warm to make use of the stove! Highly recommended.
