Greenshadows - a detached 16th-century Scottish cottage fronting River Leny with views of Ben Ledi in the heart of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The house has a rich history. Locally called ‘The Pink House’, it was a safe haven during the Jacobite uprising. The author of ‘The Junglebook’ is thought to have resided at Greenshadows for a short period. Of note is William Turner’s painting of Ben Ledi from Kilmahog Bridge (on display at the Tate Gallery) just a few hundred metres away.

This was an unforgettable place to stay. Where else can you have your own stone circle, jetty and a rock with Neolithic carvings? The location is right next to the loch with a stunning uninterrupted views. We sat on the veranda which is dry in all weathers and watched the changing light and teeming birdlife: there were swifts, swallows, geese, swans, wagtails and an oystercatcher... It is a wild and private retreat, but the internet is brilliant, the kitchen and shower function well. We were warm and cosy at night. We will dream about coming back!

The cabin couldn’t have been more relaxing! Exactly what we needed after a long travel to start our trip. We were able to relax and unwind with the outdoor bath and fire pit and the chilled champagne and breakfast basket were perfect on arrival! Thanks to Mandy for giving us the best recommendation on a local golf course, Murrayshall was gorgeous and challenging! Thanks for this little gem Alice we hope to be back!

We stayed for a week for my partners birthday and had the most incredible time. The views were stunning and you could just sit all day and watch the wildlife on the lake! Beds were comfy and had all the amenities you needed. We didn’t want to leave!

We stayed five days in Hilary's accommodation in Brig O'Turk. What a wonderful stay we had! The accommodation is well equipped with all the necessities: shampoo, plenty of toilet paper, detergent, and dishwashing tablets. In addition, there was a welcome package with milk, biscuits, and a mosquito stick (essential with those stubborn midges). Hilary welcomed us warmly, and we could contact her if needed. Charging our car was no problem, which is a real plus in a country that doesn’t yet have many fast chargers. The location offers plenty of opportunities to visit various (sports-related) attractions: climbing Ben A’an, taking a trip on the steamboat on Loch Katrine, hiking Ben Ledi, visiting Bracklinn Falls, cycling, and much more. Five days is actually too short — I can truly recommend this accommodation!

We stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon and it was absolute perfection! The space was bright, welcoming and spotlessly clean. The location was amazing - you have the benefit of the peacefulness of being far enough away from everything whilst also being close enough to local amenities that you never feel ‘stuck’. The hot tub was just what was needed after the wedding stress and was nice and easy to use with clear instructions. The cherry on top was seeing the lovely sheep with their gorgeous little lambs! We loved our stay here and will 100% be returning.
