Family-friendly vacation rentals in Leigh-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea

Fantastic facilities for a big group weekend away; we were a group of 18 and had plenty of space and the sleeping arrangements were great. The property has been redeveloped to accommodate large groups. Karen was very helpful before and after the booking, asking about bedroom set up (twin vs double) and also giving instructions around check-in and check-out. The garden is fantastic and we enjoyed making use of that and the hot tub! We also had caterers in on the Saturday night who had cooked at the venue before and the enormous dining table was brilliant for our celebration.

I was here for work and the area was fantastic. Great place to walk my dog in the morning and evenings. Fantastic facilities like gym and coffee shop. Would happily stay again even if not for work.

My family and I had the most wonderful stay at the River View barn. The barn was lovely and so peaceful with a beautiful view. We had such a great time and would recommend this to everyone.

We loved our night's stay at the Hen House. We live locally and visit Parlour Cafe regularly (it's our fav local cafe and they do the yummiest food) We booked our stay to have some quality time together and it was perfect. Easy to access, hot tub was easy to book and there are some lovely walks locally. Host was easy to get hold of and lots of information sent up-front :)

Very clean, bedding and towels smelled great. Hot tub was very relaxing, nice farmland surroundings and would recommend shoes/boots that can withstand the mud!

We absolutely loved the cottage and felt at home straight away. Pristine and with the most comfy beds we've stayed in for a long time! Very convenient for the high street, yet super quiet when in the house Parking right outside even when busy! The cottage is ideal for a family and we loved every minute!

The house is beautifully kept with everything you need. The enclosed garden is fabulous for the dogs safety. Bed is extremely comfortable. Off street parking is very handy. Close to my family for ease of visiting

Clean and very well appointed cottage a few minutes walk from the high street and beach. Parking in the road is limited but there is a car park at the end of the street. We had a great time in Whitstable making the most of the dog friendly pubs, restaurants and shops. Would definitely return and stay again.

We had a friendly greeting when we arrived at the Dough Cottage, and Alison helped with parking and places to eat: plus a few ‘things to know’ about the property. Alison had left us some yummy snacks and milk in the fridge! The garden is very secure which was great for our dog, Ted. The location is perfect, literally around the corner from the high street, and a short walk to the seafront, but also tucked away which gave us privacy. Lots of equipment in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom. The pillows and bedding were great quality. I loved all of the coffee table books and art around the cottage. We (family of 4) had a fab stay and would definitely recommend Dough Cottage to anyone looking to stay in Whistable.

This was our second time at The Stable and it didn’t disappoint. Clean, very comfortable and some luxurious touches. Great area for things to do, right by the sea but still peaceful and relaxing.

Great location, very well equipped kitchen, lots of seating, great layout, good outside space and very comfortable beds with good quality linen . We would definitely return.

Gareth's place is a great place to stay, close to the sea front with a short walk to pubs and restaurants which are really good. The apartment has everything you need and is really comfortable. A great host and i will definitely be back.

Beautiful, quaint little cottage. Well equipped and comfy beds. We were only 3, I think it would be quite a squeeze with 6! Also be sure to check you are ok with steep narrow stairs! Parking a bit tricky, but we knew that. Easy walk into town with some cute, independent shops and restaurants.

A lovely caravan in a beautifully quiet location with a great view, but on a park which offers lots of activities and facilities. Really comfortable beds. Ideal for couples as 3 doubles. Sharon always replied quickly when I messaged and was helpful. I’m sure we will be back in the future.

Marina’s home is cozy and comfortable with necessary facilities. The environment is quiet and beautiful, and the location is very convenient to walk around at the Thames riverside and the fields or to enjoy in Haven Recreation Centre. Haven Holiday Park is a nice place must be recommended. A nice place to enjoy the nature. Nice sunrise and sunset.
