Beachfront vacation rentals in Leigh-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea

You really couldn't beat the location for this lovely house and the views from the bedroom windows were glorious. We particularly enjoyed the lovely garden backing onto the beach with its resident flock of cheeky sparrows! It was so easy to walk to the High Street through Whitstable's quirky little lanes and the vibrant Harbour is only a short walk along the seafront. Thanks for a really great stay!

Comfortable home in peaceful location but near to the beach, very pet friendly. Mersea island is a lovely location. Plenty of lovely pubs within 10min walking distance. Mel is a fantastic host, very friendly and goes out of her way to make your holiday special.

We’ve just had such a lovely stay! The place was beautiful, really comfortable, and had everything we needed. Aileen was such a kind and thoughtful host ,we felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. You can really tell a lot of care goes into the space, and it made for a really relaxing and enjoyable break. Would absolutely love to come back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others!

Perfect location a stone throw from the shore, near Neptune Pub (right on beach) and Wheelers Restaurant on the high street. Interesting independent shops, quirky coffee shops and pubs tucked in back streets. Wonderful beer garden and restaurants. A lovely get away just an hour away for me.

A perfect base to enjoy Whitstable, with added bonus of free parking , plus the delights and of Le Petit Cafe, that is also owned by Mark and Vanessa, excellent coffee and breakfast choices. The Flat is well equipped and cosy offering views over the high street with amazing sunsets. Well priced and worth a visit

We only stayed for one night for a friends get together but had a lovely time. Clear instructions on how to find the caravan and get inside, clean and comfortable. Laurie was really proactive with messages and easy to contact. The beds were really comfortable and the shower was great - powerful and hot. The parking space seemed smaller than the surrounding spaces and was a bit difficult to manoeuvre onto in without driving on the grass a little, so might benefit from being extended. The site was really well kept and felt safe and friendly. Clear instructions on working the heating, fire, TV etc (the TV is Netflix and Prime enabled but you need to sign in with your own account). We ordered food from the Titash which was absolutely delicious and delivered quickly. Beautiful walk along the beach followed by breakfast at The Seaview café, which is an old favourite of ours - again delicious. Would definitely recommend Laurie's caravan and would definitely stay again!

We have stayed at Cooper's Beach before, but never in such a lovely motorhome. The motorhome was spotlessly clean, well appointed and modern - it felt quite luxurious! And that is before we factor in the location. It is perfectly positioned near all the amenities: the clubhouse, the pool, the playground and the beach. Rohan responded quickly to our queries and was an informative host. It was a great place to stay and we had a wonderful trip.

Hazel’s place is a fantastic place, right on the beach front and short walk to the facilities in this lovely holiday park. Had everything that we needed, all clean and well equipped. 100% recommend!

Had the best two nights at Tracy’s home from home. Was everything she had described, very comfortable I had the best two nights sleep. Close to the beach and you can see the sea from the van. Thank you I will be back 😊

Fantastic place. Enough space for the three of us especially with the decking. Really clean. Great location, easy walk to the beach and sea front, short walk to the country park. With a car it's easy to get around the island. The resort had a pool. some arcades and a nice bar. Always felt safe and secure. would recommend.

Becky was responsive when we messaged. Lovely seaside cottage. ample space for the three adults. Nicely decorated and furnished. decorative linen. Nice bathroom and shower room. Loved the balcony and the views from the office area. Be prepared for parking to be a challenge. We didn't need to use parking but could see from how busy the parking was at the weekend we stayed. Great location for being in the heart of entertainment. This comes with noise at closing time but didn't bother us.

Me and my family had a lovely time at the beautiful apartment. 5 minute walk from the seaside and surrounded by many shops. The apartment was spotless and felt like a home away from home. Modern kitchen and bathrooms, and had everything you would need for your stay. The host responded as soon as we needed him and was very kind to facilitate our needs.

Great property and right in the centre of everything. Perfect for our family birthday celebrations from age 7 to age 80. A great find. There are three sets of stairs, but that is fine. Clean property, clear instructions and lovely furniture. The put up beds are very much for a child, and quite firm, but fine for our boy. We took two cars, and used Just Park for the second which made things so much easier over a bank holiday weekend.

Visited Sally's caravan for a weekend stay and can honestly say we've never stayed in a nicer caravan. It was so clean and tidy, had everything we needed, shower was hot and powerful, beds comfy. Sally had even left out the nicest touches like some toys to entertain the children and mini cookies which they loved. The location is perfect and the site itself was lovely, quiet and friendly. Instructions for check-in were simple and easy to follow. Sally was the perfect host and has a very helpful guide book too. Thank you for such a welcoming and memorable stay. We would love to visit again!

Perfect location for the beach and the high street. A gorgeous flat with everything you need! We will definitely be wanting to stay here again!

Rowland's place is a beautiful charming cottage right on the coast of West Mersea. The setting is stunning and he is an amazing friendly and communicative host. The location is right next to a pub which serves great food and lovely atmosphere. Other local amenities are also a short walk away. We (2 adults and two kids) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at this house in the South East End of the UK. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a relaxing place to return to after a day out. The location was fantastic—just a short walk to the aquarium and with easy access to the beach, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Communication with the host was smooth and prompt throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in the area!
