We felt very comfortable right away - wonderful secluded location at almost 900m altitude, overlooking the sacred mountain of Fortaleza and El Hiero. Everything was as described. For us, an ideal starting point to all corners of the island. You can also go directly from the property. Communication with Michael was excellent. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely stay at Catherine’s cute studio. She was warm, responsive and made everything easy, while her boyfriend Cyran shared superb hiking tips. The place is spotless, well-laid-out and opens onto a peaceful little garden. The setting is beautiful and quiet, with a tiny grocery and bar-café on the nearby plaza. A car helps, but you can still reach the small, sometimes-rough beach on foot—don’t expect a long sandy stretch like Tenerife, think intimate cove. Perfect hideaway for nature lovers; I’d happily return.

Cozy accommodation with good value for the money. The apartment is located directly on a main road and traffic can be heard. However, this hardly disturbs, as the traffic is also not that large. I always found a parking space for my rental car nearby. In addition, there is a bus stop in the immediate vicinity, as well as two small grocery stores where you can get everything. Otherwise, the apartment is exactly as described, there are enough kitchen utensils to take care of yourself. Check-in and check-out were super straightforward, Samuel responded very quickly to questions. The only drawback was regular noise from the fridge, which initially bothered me a bit. But you also get used to it, so it won't bother you later. I highly recommend Airbnb.

Casa Goyo is in the Valle Gran Rey on the west side of La Gomera. It is in a stunningly beautiful location on this wonderful and scenic island. The apartment is situated on a quiet terraced hillside below towering cliffs. From the outside terrace the Atlantic Ocean is visible a few miles down the valley. It is a very well kept and high quality home offering all the amenities that you would want. There is a supermarket in walking distance, which sells fresh produce. There is a nearby bar serving honest and wholesome food. Try the Almogrote, it's a local speciality. From this location you can hike the Camino La Tranquilla to Las Hayas, and many other routes. Casa Goyo is a perfect place from which to explore this magical island. Sandra and Goyo are excellent hosts. Sandra is quick to respond to questions and extremely helpful. Goyo was waiting for us on arrival with a warm and friendly welcome. We had an unforgettable experience and would like to thank Sandra, Goyo and La Gomera.
