Absolutely phenomenal stay at Lance and Karin’s home in Lake Wylie, South Carolina! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the modern old-day charm of the house — a perfect blend of cozy warmth and tasteful design. But what truly sets this place apart is the breathtaking view of the lake right in the backyard. Whether you’re into swimming, canoeing, or just lounging in the beach chairs by the water, there’s something incredibly calming about being so close to nature. And if that’s not enough, the large deck off the back of the house is ideal for sitting back, relaxing, and taking it all in. As someone who uses Airbnb regularly, I can honestly say this home is a 10 out of 10. My children and wife enjoyed every single minute — from the water activities to just spending quality time together in such a peaceful setting. The place was very nice and met our needs. We feel the price was more than we anticipated after seeing the cleaning fees and other fees added, you learn from other places we've stayed in the past that the cost was our biggest issue. We only had a full day and a half with the family which we felt could have been a longer stay for what we paid. Anyway it is a very nice place for those that have bigger pockets.

Sweetwater cottage was such a cozy and relaxing spot. It is also close to local restaurants and shops. We came to the area to watch the Coca Cola 600 race. Georgia was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had.

This single level, 5 bedroom home is on a beautiful lake with a very big yard and many activities (including kayaks, paddle board, dock, tether ball, fosball and fishing). The portable crib, high chair, small couch and outside chair in the children's area was very helpful for our grandson. The setting was very peaceful. There were many outside activities including the Whitewater Center, the amusement park and nature centers that we enjoyed.

We just returned from 5 days at Austin's house on Lake Norman. Wow, there is nothing which could have made it better. First, have rented many places over the years; no one comes close to how well they treat their renters than Austin. He was always available, quick to reply and easy to reach. We encountered a couple of issues and Austin fixed them immediately. The house is furnished with everything one could want. The water items (boat and kayaks) made the time on the lake the most enjoyable it could be. The house is kept in pristine condition. Oh, forgot to mention the amazing hot tub and fire pit. Our grand daughters particularly loved roasting marshmallows over the fire pit to make s'mores for everyone. Like us, you will be thrilled with your choice when you rent this home.

This was one of the most thoughtful places we’ve stayed!!!! Ashley and Dave left no stone unturned. We had everything we needed and more. The outside space is amazing! So incredibly peaceful. Perfect for a family getaway. We enjoyed meals on the screened in patio and morning coffee by the water. I didn’t want to leave.

The huge deck with natural tree shade was perfect for lounging and entertaining. The view of the lake was so peaceful. My family had fun fishing off the dock. We loved grilling breakfast on the deck in the AM, and sitting by the fire pit in the PM. Perfect staycation for us and our son’s graduation weekend!

Outstanding place right outside of Charlotte. Best hosts I’ve ever had. Perfect spot or a small family getaway or a couple buddies on a fishing/golf trip.

We absolutely LOVED this cottage on the lake! The view was beautiful, and the kids caught a lot of fish off of the dock! It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. Jack was a great host. Very responsive and hospitable. Already talking about when we can come back!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was cozy and extremely well maintained and clean. The view of the lake was amazing and the area was quiet and peaceful. This was our first trip to the area and Kate was very responsive to my messages. Highly recommend.

This tiny home is so adorable! We had farm fresh eggs waiting for us, and bought some meat from the farm store. The surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the dock and even fished in the pond! I would recommend the tiny house! The stairs to the loft were easy for us to maneuver, however they are steep. I would recommend this tiny home for an enjoyable quiet getaway!

Five-star stay with a caveat. Sheila was a wonderful host – responsive and friendly. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. The view as lovely as the picture. We enjoyed sitting on the private patio to read or watch the water. On one afternoon, it was pleasant just to sit on the covered patio to watch the rain on the lake. If you are able-bodied, we highly recommend this property and the host. Caveat – the walkway to the apartment and the narrow stone stairs to the lake are steep with no railings. We were not able to go to the waterfront because of this, but Sheila and John went out of their way to give us an enjoyable experience. If you need a cane for balance, sadly, you should skip this great property.

Peter met us in person at the marina, toured us all around the houseboat and made you feel so welcomed! He showed us all the amenities, made us feel totally at home and said to reach out 24/7 if we had any questions about anything. As soon as we met him, it’s as if we’d known him for years. We cooked, grilled and ate all meals there on the upper deck. The views were amazing, we waved/met folks in other boats who were waving to us and had an incredibly relaxing time. He covered every detail and was an awesome host…from sharing fishing tips to providing wine, snacks and a great candy bar! The beds were so comfy with THE softest sheets I’ve slept on. What a perfect holiday weekend. The houseboat is quite spacious, so comfortable and provided a superb environment for our family and friends. Wonderful home on a beautiful point with a fantastic view!! We would certainly stay here again, the whole house has a perfectly chill lake vibe, comfortable furniture, and is immaculately clean! Arouna & Charlie were wonderful hosts, immediately responsive and the care they have for this home shows!

Lindsey’s place was perfect for our stay in Charlotte!! Beautiful lakeside location. Great dock to swim from along with kayak, canoe, etc. The house was very well maintained, clean and very private. We will definitely stay here when we visit Charlotte again.

We had an awesome time! Loved every minute. There was so much wildlife.. The fireflies were a nightly display. We kayaked, used the hot tub and bbq. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Communication was excellent when we wanted recommendations. Would highly recommend ❤️

We loved our stay on the lake. I loved the area. It was a great place to take walks and enjoy the outdoors. Our boys really enjoyed the kayaks. The house was really close to so many places and activities in the Charlotte area.
