this place was just what we needed and Richard and Wendy were very welcoming. worth ever cent!

We had a lovely time at this peaceful, very cozy cabin. We loved the sound of the creek running below, the surrounding trees and nature, the outdoor tub, the goats! Being so close to Nevada City and amazing rivers and trails was such a treat.

Great host. Beautiful farm. It was a fun experience.

Great quiet retreat and walking distance to All locations in the forest Hill area

We didn’t have an AWD vehicle so we couldn’t make it up the hill, so we did park at the bottom- which was a little difficult. Had to make a couple trips and it is a decent walk especially in the rain and mud. Just make sure you are prepared for a walk or bring a vehicle that can handle big ruts and really muddy roads! (Not the hosts fault by any means and they clearly state that you need an AWD car in details!) The outdoor bathtub was frickin amazing! I felt like I was at a spa retreat. We loved this cozy cabin. Bed was comfy, things were clean, and everything was straightforward and easy to use. Kitchen had a rather miscellaneous selection of utensils and such so I’d suggest keeping it simple for meals. We went on a short walk around the property and came back with quite a few ticks. So that was not fun, but also not anyone’s fault. All in all- would absolutely 10/10 recommend staying here! I wish I could live there!

I took my daughters on a short girls trip to Derek’s place. We stayed 2 nights. The deck was a fun hangout spot and we enjoyed hanging out in the dome at night. The shower gets very hot and is so relaxing. I appreciated the coffee on site and snacks. We walked down to Rollins Lake a few times and were amazed at how close it was. Definitely worth the short walk down for sunset. Definitely recommend Empire Mine State Park as a nearby attraction. We had so much fun walking the grounds. Easy to find, inexpensive to get in, and truly beautiful grounds with lots of history! We will be back. Thanks for hosting us!

My wife and 3 children stayed a week at Brendan's beautiful property. We had such a great time. It was extremely well stocked with supplies and it was perfect for our family. The grounds and landscaping were SO impressive. We made smores by the pond in the evenings. We played soccer in the front yard during the afternoon. We drank coffee in the morning sun on the front deck with all the birds chirping, and then we spent the rest of the day swimming in the amazing pool and sitting in the hot tub. There is a pool house with an extra bathroom, kitchen and pool table that we didn't even use, as there was too much to do and not enough time for our family in just a week. We could have stayed a few more weeks! Brendan communicated extremely well and everything worked great. We will be back!

we will return! Constant communication and Racj=hel went out of her way to have us check in early as we arrived sooner than we anticipated. The house is perfect! We have a small dog, there were dog covers, a fenced yard (with pooper scooper), a sweet fireplace, a footed bathtub, and 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Well-equipped kitchen and lots of towels and great sheets. We really loved this place and it would be great for 2 couples and/or a family. Great for dog people.

This was one of our most amazing stays. The few was spectacular and the whole area was so serene. Close to anything you might need even though you felt like you were a million miles away. The deer and birds made me feel like a Disney princess lol. We were able to walk around the whole property including there other spots. I can’t express how breathtaking the views were and how lovely it was to wake up to it. We will definitely be back!!!

Peaceful, beautiful surroundings, lovely home inside and out, not suitable for people with difficulty with stairs, has steep drive way. Wonderful for a getaway in a tranquil environment and is well stocked.

We enjoyed the stay—it was spotless and very peaceful! The checkout process was very thorough. Just make sure you read the instructions thoroughly, that way you won't get charged! Overall, it was a great stay!

This house is in a beautiful area and peaceful neighborhood. The house felt so large and open. You have an incredible view from most rooms in the home. The backyard was our favorite - there is so many activities available, along with a waterfront view. We saw multiple bald eagles and a baby deer right in the yard. The master bathroom is luxurious and the shower/bath is unmatched!! We plan on booking this stay again in the future and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

This is the second time we are staying at their place..so that tells it all. We really like the location and the house. I only wish there was more snow in the region when we went couple of weeks back. We are looking back for going back in next time.

This is the third time I have stayed at Karen's home with my family. It's always been spotlessly clean and everything is easy to find. Karen is an amazing host. I probably bother her too often, but she answers immediately and always with a smile in her voice. The beds are perfect (which is often not the case elsewhere). There's room to park my pontoon boat or trailer which is very nice to have. I would recommend this home to anyone.

My family went to Lake Wildwood to visit some family and luckily found Iris' house. Her place was ideal! Comfortable and close to a park on the lake, with a wonderful deck to sit on and share about old times as the sun set behind the oaks. And Iris was as available and helpful as you could hope for. We will return for sure.

Had a wonderful 4 night stay with our pup. It was clean & quiet. Loved the chickens and ducks. It was nice to be able to park behind the gate. Will definitely stay again!!

This is a great place to stay in Nevada City. It is remarkable to be able to house a large family gathering under one roof and still be only minutes from downtown Nevada City by foot. On top of that, the spacious backyard along the creek offered great quiet time. The house is well-stocked including the kitchen which had everything we needed to cook for a large group; including good frying pans!

Andy was super easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The home is perfectly situated with easy access to snowboarding and the Bay Area. We hope to stay there again!

Had to book this house at the last minute because the other place I rented canceled me 1 minute before check in, I only needed 1 night but this house has a 2 night minimum. We left early the next day and he refunded me part of the cost for the second night, which he didn’t have to do. Its a nice, comfortable house.

Cynthia made check in easy, the house was clean, the kitchen well stocked. We would recommend / stay at Cynthia's place again!

This was our second time staying here, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. The place is cozy, well-maintained, and conveniently located close to everything we needed—shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back again!

Jess’ place was both incredibly well designed and cozy at the same time. It was immaculately clean, had a well stocked kitchen and was a perfect distance to the main drag in town. In addition, Jess was the most responsive and flexible host - answering all our many questions and asks for local recommendations (we were staying with a big family and kids over Christmas). Would 100% stay here again!
