Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake View, Chicago

Very comfy apartment in a great neighborhood. We were in town for a baseball game and it’s a terrific place for that, just about a 20-minute walk to Wrigley Field. The only thing to be concerned about is the stairs: there are two flights to get into the apartment and they’re fairly steep and small, so if you have mobility issues that would be a concern. I don’t and had no problem. Karen is a lovely host and was very helpful when I was getting into the place and unloading my stuff from my car. There are tons of restaurants and coffee shops in the area, so it’s a great place to explore and hang out.

Loved everything about this place! I cannot say enough good things about my stay. I will say, it is quite far from Chicago. It didn’t quite matter for me as I knew I wanted to find a place away from the city but on a week day it is about an hour or so from downtown. The place was quiet, pillows insanely comfortable, amazing shower, kitchen was great and well equipped, clean washer and dryer, easy to get in and out of the place. Great place to stay.

We loved Megan’s place! It’s adorably decorated and very cozy. We felt at home during our stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was great for cooking dinner one night. Checking in and out was really simple. You’re not immediately by the train, but it’s a quiet safe neighborhood and there’s a little park across the street and a cute coffee shop a short walk from the house. As was clearly indicated by the hosts, it’s notably warmer upstairs than it is downstairs (we stayed in November) but it wasn’t a real issue. Would happily stay here again.

Had a lovely stay at Janice's place! It is located a short drive from Logan Square, which has restaurants, bars, and a blue line metro stop. There was also a bus stop just outside the neighborhood. Speaking of the neighborhood, it was very serene and private, with plenty of parking regardless of the time of day. The airbnb is a basement unit, so maybe something to keep in mind if you're on the taller side, but it was spacious, and there was minimal noise from the floor above. Shower had great water pressure! Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Janice was very communicative and clear instructions were given for checkin and checkout processes.

We booked Hatice's place for a last minute trip to Chicago. It's on the small side, but that was perfect for just the two of us as we are active people and like to get out and enjoy the city. The location is good and is within a walkable distance of everything you should need for your time. Hatice's communication was steady throughout our stay and I feel like she would have gotten anything needed during our stay.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Arlene was super proactive with communication and made everything very clear. It was easy to find and get inside. The bed was also extremely comfortable. I was really impressed with the location and the space. Extremely walkable to everything we needed for a wedding weekend at Tied House.

Nice, affordable little basement studio on a quiet street in Lincoln Park. The Airbnb was just what I needed for a short weekend stay, but a few things to note: - Neighbors upstairs can sometimes be noisy, the walls are quite thin so you can hear people exiting and entering the halls and walking around and talking upstairs early in the morning or late at night which was kind of annoying, but manageable. - I think the window coverings next to bed don't fully obfuscate the interior when you're inside with the lights on at night. I heard a neighbor walk by the window before entering the same building and audibly say "this unit is almost on full display" which made me a little self conscious when I was in there getting ready for bed - The conditioner dispenser in the bathroom didn't work, but the host had someone come in and fix it the next day which was nice. Aside from those minor things, I enjoyed my stay! :)

It was a great place to stay!! We were in town for Cubs games and the location was an A+. Easy to get around, we walked everywhere without using the car the whole weekend - ballgames, bars, restaurants, grocery store, and coffee shops were all nearby. The unit was perfectly clean and well appointed. We hope to come back soon!

I had a wonderful experience staying at this location. Josh was helpful and responsive. One thing to keep in mind is that the ceiling is pretty low. I'm 5'9 but had a few places I had to duck my way around the apartment. Also, any noise that the guests upstairs make is amplified. Otherwise this place is an amazing location to stay in Chicago, not only for Wrigley Field, but it's close to public transport and you can get around the city easily. I'd definitely recommend it and would definitely stay here again :)

My wife and another couple had a lovely long weekend in John’s apartment. It’s exactly like the photos, in a beautiful neighborhood in Chicago. Kitchen is well stocked. Bathroom worked well, beds were comfortable, and John left a list of lots of local recommendations. The brown line is nearby; note that there is a soft whir when it passes, but it didn’t bother any of us (neither the NYC nor the suburban residents). Would highly recommend!

My wife and I first time visiting Chicago and it was amazing staying here. Only 3 miles from downtown with an amazing view. Everything is was perfect with the stay and we will be back sooner than later. The host made it super easy for us as well. We rate this stay a 10/10 ⭐️

It’s been an amazing stay here in Chicago! The Airbnb is really Cozy and spacious. Nicholas and Aaron took care of every little detail to make our stay very pleasant. It’s really easy to get to downtown Chicago with the strategic location. It’s close to Wrigley Field and nearby restaurants and bars. It a safe area in a quiet neighborhood that is very walkable. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Chicago!

This was my first time booking with Airbnb and all I can say is that it could not have been a better experience! Aaron was so nice and beyond helpful. The apartment was the perfect size for my husband and I. It is in a good location, we were able to get to anything we needed or wanted with just a short walk. Not only that but the building itself was so cool, the lobby is beautiful and the amenities were spectacular. We ventured to the rooftop many times because of how nice and peaceful it was. We attended a concert at the Aragon Ballroom and it’s the first time we’ve not stressed about how to make the trip there and back. It was maybe a 3-5 minute walk at most! Overall it was beyond what I was expecting. If available, anytime we will be in the area this will be our first choice!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy garden unit apartment. It was very comfortable, spacious, and clean, with anything you need from extra blankets and pillows to white noise machines and fully furnished kitchen. The hosts were very kind and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and leave our luggage after check out. The area was also great, very safe and walkable, and a cute neighborhood that makes you feel like a local. Highly recommend this place if you’re ever in Chicago for an event at Wrigley Field!

I absolutely loved Lisa and Nathan’s place. It was exactly as advertised - a beautiful property (photos do not capture how nice this place really is). Aside from the great place and location is how responsive they were. My schedule was in flux while traveling and they were so flexible making sure my stay met my expectations. I also liked how quick they responded when I reached out about the heat (it was very cold in Chicago at the time). They immediately offered to send the building engineer to take a look - and it turns out I just didn’t know how to work the remote for the heat. The heat was fine - it was just user error on my part. But I respected how quickly they followed up with me to make sure everything was fine and that I was comfortable. Will definitely rent again next time I am in town. I can highly recommend their place.

The Airbnb was clean, exactly as described, and in a great location. Check in was easy and we were able to get settled right away. William was very proactive in communicating instructions well before our arrival. Overall, we had a lovely time visiting Chicago and would recommend staying here!

The place was in a really convenient location, the place itself is really neat. The only downside is the noise from the train. But overall, it was good for our trip!

My sister and I had a great time in Chicago. The location and accommodations were perfect! A block and 1/2 from Wrigley, yes we saw a game and the Cubs win! A block and 1/2 away from the “L” and a quiet neighborhood. The inside had everything we needed to make breakfast, sleep and relax on the backside porch sipping champagne. Would give this place 6 stars if I could. Thanks Mike for being a great host.

A Designer’s Dream – Absolute Perfection! This home is truly exceptional—every detail reflects thoughtful design and top-tier quality. It’s a designer’s dream, with stunning décor, a comfortable and beautifully clean space, and every amenity you could possibly need. The furnishings and finishes are stylish and well appointed, making the entire experience feel luxurious and relaxing. But the real showstopper? The backyard! It’s like a second living room—lush, tranquil, and designed for ultimate comfort and enjoyment. We loved spending time out there and honestly didn’t want to leave. It's so much better than anything a hotel could even begin to provide! We will absolutely be back!

747 Lofts is super conveniently located, right near a stop for the blue line. Lots of great food nearby, we loved getting coffee and scones at Big Shoulder every morning. Host was very responsive, always friendly and helpful. Great communication, great location, would definitely stay here again!

I can't recommend this Airbnb enough! From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. The place was not only extremely clean, but also beautifully decorated with a very welcoming atmosphere. The space is also very spacious, which was a huge plus. The host was incredible, super kind and helpful. Great location, and easy access to all main streets. The neighborhood is quiet, and very safe. The people in the neighborhood were very welcoming. The condo was nice, very spacious and a great value for the cost.

The time spent here was wonderful. This place has everything you need to feel at home away from home. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area was also really nice with tons of food and drinks within walking distance. The blue line is a short walk away and the busses run on the corner. I would definitely stay here again when coming back to Chicago.
