Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Päijänne

We stayed at Tapani’s place for two nights on our road trip. The place was easy to get to and clean when we arrived. We never met the hosts, but the check-in was easy. The home is atmospheric and typical for the time period in Finland. Bedrooms are nicely located upstairs and everything else is downstairs, so sleepers are not disturbed. The neighborhood is quiet, as is the whole town, but we managed to buy basic groceries from the local store. The location is close to Jyväskylä for example, if you are looking for more things to do. Overall, our family of four enjoyed the stay and Tapani’s place had everything we needed for the stop-over.

Kaunis talo ja pihapiiri. Kaikki on suunniteltu ja toteutettu huolellisesti. Sisustus oli kodikas ja 5-henkinen perhe sopi sinne hyvin. Sauna oli mahtava. Ranta todella matala, mutta siinä on miellyttävä hiekkapohja. Lähellä on hyvät liikuntamahdollisuudet.

Viikonloppureissu mökillä, maaseudun rauhassa. Rauhallista oli ja luonto lähellä. Olisi voinut käydä Messilässäkin laskemassa, kun oli sen verran lähellä rinteet, mutta jospa seuraavalla kerralla. Oli oikein mukavaa majoittua täällä, kaikki toimi odotetusti ja mökin kuvaus paikkansapitävä. Viesteihin tuli nopeasti vastaus! Viihdyttiin tosi hyvin.

Majoitus vastasi tarpeitamme loistavasti. Majoittujien joukossa oli mm. kaksi koiraa, jotka nauttivat ulkoilusta aidatulla pihalla. Nuorin vieras oli 5 kk ikäinen vauva, jolle oli valmiina matkasänky. Kylpyhuoneessa oli myös reilusti tasotilaa, ja vaipan vaihdot hoituivat siellä sujuvasti. Varmasti varaamme majoituksen uudestaan, jos olemme liikkeellä Iitin suunnalla isommalla porukalla.

Paikka oli viihtyisä ja meidän tarpeille loistava.

Lea is a lovely host - very welcoming, warm, friendly, accomodating, easygoing and flexible. I had no issues whatsoever with her or my stay in her house. The house and her property by the lake is just gorgeus, the view is so calming and beautiful to look at. She takes great care of her garden too. I found the house having a very peaceful energy to it, I felt very relaxed there. The only slight downside for me personally was the double bed itself in the bedroom I stayed in. The mattress felt as it had seen it's better days, didn't feel quite firm enough for me, but then again this might not be an issue to other guests at all. I personally happen to have certain back issues and a good bed is something that's very important to me (I had forgotten to ask about the bed prior to my trip). I spoke to Lea about it after my first night and she was just wonderful with the whole thing as with everything else - didn't get triggered or provoked at all. She offered one of the other rooms to me as the single beds are firmer and that I could pretty much choose freely what ever works for me best as I was the only guest in the house during my stay. I found her to be very easygoing and just lovely in every way. I had some very nice conversations with Lea as well and we shared some great laughs too. She was also very kind to me, for example when it rained hard upon my arrival and my only shoes had gone soaking wet, she offered to dry them in the sauna for the next day. Also on another day when it kept raining, she offered me her own rain coat and rain boots so that I wouldn't get wet as I was taking part in the music festival as a singer and getting sick would have been very unfortunate. She also allowed me to practise freely in the house. Brewing a cup of coffee in the morning and the use of basic condiments such as salt and pepper while cooking in the kitchen was also included in the price. I am very pleased with my stay at Lea's beautiful home. She was a superb, fun host and seemed like a wonderful humanbeing overall. I felt great in her house and have no complaints about her whatsoever.

Heerlijk naar ons zin gehad! Het huisje zelf was erg gezellig en perfect om een paar rustige dagen in te spenderen door de haard, sauna, goed toegeruste keuken en fijne TV. De directe omgeving was prachtig, zeker met mooi weer. Winkels waren goed bereikbaar met de auto. Host was vriendelijk en reageerde snel. Echt een aanrader!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful, quiet spot. The cottage was very clean and there were instructions provided for everything you need to know. Host was easy to communicate with and very helpful.

Oikein mainio majoitus!😊 Asunto oli kuin kuvissa. Tilava kaksio viikonlopun yöpymiselle yhden lapsen kanssa! Keittiö oli hyvin varusteltu ja astioita oli moneen tarpeeseen. Erityiskiitos lapsen huomioimisesta leluilla ja kirjoilla sekä omalla saippualla! Tulemme mielellään myös uudemman kerran.

Majoituimme 7 hengen kaveriporukalla kohteeseen ja olimme kokonaisuuteen hyvin tyytyväisiä. Sijainti on kaupungin ytimessä ja kohde itsessään oli tilava ja siisti. Hyvät ja laajat ohjeet helpottivat avaimien noudossa ja paalutuksessa. Oikein hyvä kohde myös isommalle porukalle, tilaa olisi ollut vielä muutamalle lisää.

Oikein mukava asunto hyvällä sijainnilla. Rauhallinen alue puistonlaidalla. Lasitettu parveke oli mukavan lämmin kevätauringossa.

Loistava sijainti, kodikas asunto, joka sopii erinomaisesti yksin matkustaville tai parille. Asunnossa löytyi kaikki, mitä vaan voi tarvita. Suosittelen lämpimästi!

Siisti, näppärä ja nykyaikainen asunto aivan Jyväskylän keskustassa. Pienten lasten kanssa matkustavina arvostimme majoitusjärjestelyiden joustavuutta (siirreltävät sängyt + irtopatjoja), makuuhuoneen pimennysverhoja, syöttötuolia sekä kattoterassia, jossa oli näköalojen lisäksi myös leikkipaikka lapsille!

An excellent accommodation right in the middle of the city. Very close to the train station and easy to find. The instructions given are very clear and easy to follow. The apartment itself is on the high street but hardly any noise. The amenities are perfect, and we had a lovely stay overall!

Saatiin yöpymispaikka nopeasti ,vaikka olimme saman päivän aikana liikenteessä. Kohde sopii hyvin pienen perheen yöpymiseen. Asunto oli oikein viihtyisä ja kivasti sisustettu sekä todella siisti.

Asunto oli hyvin siisti, hyvällä paikalla ja helppo löytää.

Mukava ja siisti asunto todella hyvällä sijainnilla Jyväskylän keskustassa. Palvelu oli erittäin hyvää ja joustavaa. Sain aikaisemman sisäänkirjautumisen, vaikka en edes varsinaisesti pyytänyt sitä. Kerroin vain saapuvani aikaisemmin kaupunkiin.

Täällä on oltu ja uudestaan tullaan. Loistava sijainti. Ihanan tilava. Kaikkea mahdollista tarjolla asunnossa. Vahva suositus. Myös lapsiperheelle.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Tampere. L'appartement est très bien situé, à proximité des transports et des lieux à voir. L'immeuble est calme et l'accueil de Petri, avenant.

Loistavalla paikalla pieni asunto yhdellä makuuhuoneella. Kaikki toimi hienosti. Tulen uudelleen, jos on tarvis.
