Waterfront vacation rentals in Lake Päijänne

The apartment was really clean and cozy. The sauna was good and the fire created the atmosphere on the deck. Walked to the beach in a few minutes and to the city center on an electric board for about 8 minutes. The host provided good and clear instructions on everything 5/5👍

The apartment was clean, modern and comfortable. Communication was fast. The apartment had a very nice balcony. There was a playground and a park within walking distance. The shop is a 5-minute drive.

Beautiful, cozy well-equipped apartment, bathroom great too. Comfortable bed and fresh linens, as well as towels. It was wonderful to find coffee, tea, and other essentials in the kitchen.

A lovely, clean, peaceful spot very close to the train station. We stayed in the winter and enjoyed the view out over the frozen lake, where there were skiiers and even an ice fishing competition! A well-equipped apartment and easy to get around the city. Very easy to get in and a comfortable place to stay.

Wow, what a beautiful location. And such a lovely house. There was a an original sauna on the lake which allowed us a true Finnish experience. Elina was the perfect host. She was always responsive and keen to ensure we had a great time. Anyone booking this place will not be disappointed. We will be returning- maybe when there is snow on the ground. Beautiful house and yard. Everything has been carefully designed and implemented. The decor was cozy and the family of 5 was a great fit. The sauna was great. The beach is really shallow, but it has a pleasant sandy bottom. There are good sports facilities nearby.

Villa Virveli was just as great as the photos, if not more amazing! The house was wonderfully modern, stylish, peaceful, and even bigger than I had thought. The absolute crown of the house was a great sauna section and a hot tub that was lovely to take a dip in. The car was parked right in front of the door in the carport, and the location was perfect because it was a short trip to the city center and the highway. Transactions with Riga were friendly, quick, and clear☺️Everything was made really easy for the guest since check-in. I will definitely be here again!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful, quiet spot. The cottage was very clean and there were instructions provided for everything you need to know. Host was easy to communicate with and very helpful.

We had a nice as a group with 4 young kids. We enjoyed the great scenery through the large front windows, and especially the nice sauna and the hot tub. The kids loved running around the yard and making s’mores at the fire pit. Nice and private space, likely even better in the summer with the lake. The attention to detail in the house and facilities is really top notch and the house is clutter free (excellent for young kids). The only drawback I’d mention is that the lake water that comes from the sink and shower smells & tastes bad, but it wasn’t really an issue for us as the filter tap for drinking water in the kitchen works great. Just something to bear in mind. Overall, great time and would return.

We absolutely loved Antti’s cottage! We are familiar to the area as my family have had cottages around sysma/lake Paijanne for generations and we are hoping to build our own next year! We loved the design of this one - very modern with some original touches like old stove & clock :-) the sauna was also a little different but very cool! And of course the gardens are exceptional - Especially when they are lit at night! Our daughter loved the paddle boards & going out in the row boat and our dog loved exploring & swimming. The lake was also so flat-calm that I even managed a (very, very brief) head stand on a paddle board :-) We would definitely love to stay again! Kiitos Paljon.

Really great place all year round. Very pieceful, wonderfully equipped spacious and cozy cabin. Sauna is amazing, beachfront. Pet friendly. Very good communication with hosts. had a great stay with family, highly recommend!

Kat's apartment was a surprise! While the photos were excellent, the reality was even better. Beautiful and personal apartment, interestingly renovated to an old house and sensitively decorated, with plenty of space, and high-quality dishes, beds, bedding, towels were carefully selected. Excellent location, next to the French village shop and Laura's shop, a short walk to the canal and guest marina. Definitely a stay worth the price, I could imagine not only vacationing, but also as a place to work remotely. Warm recommendation!

Absolutely delightful lakefront property. Clean and modern apartment with a lovely big balcony, which was lovely even in the fall. A big plus is also the gym downstairs of the building. Pertti was a very friendly host and everything went smoothly.

We found everything we needed in the apartment, and the host was very friendly. The bedroom was surprisingly small, but the apartment was very clean, cozy, and in a great location.
