Waterfront vacation rentals in Lake Hickory

Wow, what a location right by the lake! We absolutely loved this accommodation. its tastefully decorated, calm, peaceful and private. the living space is sociable and the front porch allows you to enjoy the view of the lake, the birds and just the wonderful peaceful atmosphere. there are kyaks and paddle boards and a beautiful dining area on the jetty. Comfortable beds, pretty linen, great bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen make it feel top end. Clearly this place is loved by the owner and we recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil stay. we came to Charlotte for the Speedway but we're so happy we got out of town to explore the countryside and enjoy Lake Norman. Downtown Moorseville is about 20 mins away and was a lovely place for a bit if shopping and some nice coffee ☕️ Thank you Patricia. we highly recommend your beautiful place at Tranquility Cove x

Karen was helpful in sending recommendations and communication regarding the impact of Helene on the area. Always answered questions and put us at ease. The suite was beautiful and the amenities were nice and the views were great. Instructions were helpful. I would highly recommend this suite

Loch Norm Lair is beautiful and relaxing. Great neighborhood. Just the peaceful week we needed. Rick and Judy are extremely friendly. Rick loves to share his boat and will take you for a ride. We sat and talked with them on several occasions and shared a dinner at a restaurant. The place is well cared for and a great deal, very reasonable pricing. It was a shame the sailboat wasn't working, would have loved a ride. We are already talking about a return trip in warmer weather to fully enjoy the water. Thank you so much for the beautiful week. We had a great stay with Jamie. The location is close to everything you’d want to experience in Boone. Jamie was proactive and sent access information and instructions ahead of time. Jamie checked in several times and was ready to answer any questions that popped up. We loved how cozy this spot felt. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Beautiful setting with lots of things to do. Dogs are great. Lake is lovely. Kayaks are nice. Lore cared a lot that we were happy during our stay.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The unit had anything you could possibly need. Was great not having to run to the store to get this or that as they already had everything available. Very clean!

If you’re looking for a nice private getaway, this is where you belong! This place has the most comforting feeling we’ve ever felt while traveling for work. My husband and I were huge fans of the lovely hosts as they were super nice and always making sure we were accommodated for anything we needed, if needed. WOW WOW WOW! Planned my family vacation that brought all my kids and grands together - we came in from NY/GA/NC to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. This house far surpassed my expectations - the house was perfection with so much room, games available for all ages, the kids LOVED the popcorn machine downstairs with popcorn ready to enjoy - what a lovely touch - dog bowls for the pups was so sweet. The view to the lake was incredible - how fantastic to wake up and sit outside with a cup of coffee - great start to the day. Having the kayaks and paddle boards available to use was enjoyed by all. Grocery store 10 minutes away and then you could just hang at the house because it had everything you could possibly need to cook/grill and relax. The fire pit was also a hit with singing laughing and making s'mores in the evening after a full day of adventures. We all had so much fun that we hope we can make this an annual family trip!! Plans are already being made!!

Lisa was a very responsive host and we appreciate that the property is dog friendly! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items for our stay and the bathrooms were pristine. It's a new home, so everything is spotless and comfortable. The host lives on site, but we barely heard them while we were staying there.

This beautiful home was perfect for our wedding guests for a busy wedding weekend. We loved sitting out on the spacious deck overlooking the water and visiting with everyone. Just a short distance from Chickadee Hill Farms if you’re looking for a good place for your out of town guests.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was cozy and extremely well maintained and clean. The view of the lake was amazing and the area was quiet and peaceful. This was our first trip to the area and Kate was very responsive to my messages. Highly recommend.

Cannot recommend this place enough!! We had a great stay, the location is great and convenient to restaurants as well as Boone and Blowing Rock. The house was pristine and so homey! The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay special and extremely accommodating. The house was so clean and comfortable. We loved the outdoor area and being close to the river. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. We will definitely be back!!

A great relaxing getaway on the quiet part of the lake. We brought our smaller jet boat for some fun on the water. It was so nice having the boat launch right on the property to get in and out with ease. Our stay was very comfortable allowing us to feel right at home. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves throughout the week. The hosts were super attentive, responding quickly to any questions that came up. We can’t wait to come back for another stay!

The house was as advertised: beautiful location, the outdoor space was really incredible, and the kitchen upstairs/theater setup downstairs were popular hang out spaces. The only issue was the alarms on the back doors. Each of the back sliding doors had a manual alarm that had to be pressed to exit and enter the house. They were incredibly loud, even when used as instructed. They are obviously there for safety reasons but it made it really difficult at times to be in and out of the house to enjoy the wonderful outdoor space.

We felt right at home when we walked through the door! We love the fact that the light switches were labeled with what they were for and on top of that it was very clean inside!

This condo was probably the most organized and comprehensive Airbnb expereinces I have had. The condo is very well stocked with everything you need. It opens right up to the pool and you have a nice view of the Marina. Great for a small family. Very easy location - right off the highway. Kim was incredibly responsive. Checking out was easy - there's a checklist to review right on the counter.

One of the best decisions we made on a recent trip to NC was staying for 3 nights at Desiree’s lakefront condo in Davidson. Located on an inlet of beautiful Lake Norman this 2-bedroom rental exceeded our expectations. Curbside parking and ground-level access made entering and exiting the property quick and easy. And the 2-bedroom arrangement allowed us to put our 4-year old granddaughter to bed early while we stayed up to take in the view of the harbor or watch our favorite shows on the large-screen TV in our bedroom. We also enjoyed eating breakfast on the back porch and cooling off in the nearby pool. We did not have the time to enjoy all of the amenities the rental offered, but we made good use of the kitchen (with dishwasher and utensils) and the washer-dryer. Desiree’s lakefront property was a wise investment and contributed significantly to our enjoyment during our stay. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone seeking a quiet, private, and relaxing retreat!

We had a wonderful stay here for our son’s wedding weekend. The location was perfect for all the wedding events and absolutely stunning—right on the lake, with a boardwalk just behind the condo. The unit itself was spotless and very comfortable. There was a last-minute issue with repaving and restricted parking access (completely out of the host’s control), but the host communicated immediately and went out of their way to help us navigate it. Overall, an excellent choice and one we’d happily recommend.

This beautiful condo is at the top of my list of beautiful places to stay! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, great location and waterfront view of the lake! Truly everything it advertises and more!! Would love to go back for a longer stay!
