The apartment is located on the ground floor of a former schoolhouse dating from 1888. The apartment is ideally located between Franconian Switzerland (a popular climbing and hiking area), Erlangen (university, Siemens) and Nuremberg (trade fair, Christmas market). It owes its special charm to the many architectural elements (e.g. Franconian floorboards). The garden invites you for breakfast, barbecue and relaxation, the direct surroundings for extensive hikes and bike tours.

With attention to detail, we have completely renovated this house, which is over 100 years old. We reused as much of the old materials as possible or worked with natural materials, such as clay plaster, furniture made of wood in our own construction, the sink was hand-potted by me and mounted on an old sewing machine frame. Relax with friends or family in this simple place. The "cabin" is located on a 400 m² property fenced and is beautifully located next to a cherry garden in the middle of the hiking and beer region. The terrace invites you to relax. There is a shower with a hot water heater in the bathroom, otherwise you heat with wood. There is a stove in both the kitchen and the living room. Pets are welcome. Here you can enjoy nature and "slow down."

The cities of Forchheim, Erlangen, Nuremberg and Bamberg are very worth seeing and can be reached in a short time by car/bus/train/bike.

Stay in a historic barn

You will stay on a former farm with a listed, 420-year-old barn, which we have lovingly renovated. You will stay in a completely independent part of the barn with a private entrance. On the ground floor, there is a large living-dining kitchen. On the second floor is the bedroom and a cozy sofa corner that invites you to relax. It's rare to find a place that's both historic and one-of-a-kind.

This charming cottage is located in the most beautiful place in Franconian Switzerland, the picturesque Egloffstein. It is more than 100 years old and has been restored with a lot of love to the smallest detail according to historical models. A romantic place to find peace, security and relaxation. It is located in the middle of a large, fairytale garden that invites you to linger.
