Our Little Guest House

Quaint gambrel styled smaller home with most of the amenities you'd expect for a great stay at a great price! This house is tucked behind my shop and is very private and secure. It offers availability to large groups when coupled with 'The White House', our other Airbnb rental. Great beach combing, silver fishing just 10 miles away, Kassiks Brewery is nearby, North Peninsula Recreation Center offers a great pool, playground, etc. We are 19 miles from Kenai, 10 miles from Captain Cook State Park.

We had a wonderful stay. The room had everything we needed. The bed is amazingly comfortable. Close to allot of activities around Soldotna. We had no issues with family noise as mentioned in other reviews. Would love go stay again. If you want an amazing bear experience in Sept got to Crescent Lake with Talon Air. So awesome!!

We had a fantastic stay at Shell Cottage. Kids made themselves right at home with games, house slippers, and beautiful backyard. The tow rope was a lot of fun, beach access by road is about a mile down. Darlene and Bruce have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable on arrival- from clear instructions, coffee, well stocked kitchen, and family friendly conveniences. We enjoyed sunrise and sunset views from the sunroom. We even had a mama moose and her calves in the yard one morning. We hope to come back again next year when we visit Grandma again!

This was a perfect stay for us! The great room stretched from the kitchen to a most beautiful ocean view. The furniture and mattresses were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked, and the house had a cozy and welcoming feeling. We so appreciated fresh flowers on the dining room table to greet us, having 2.5 bathrooms and a washer and dryer, the grill, and an empty freezer for our fish!!!! We loved sitting out on the deck so that we could breathe in the fresh air. Dawn was a wonderful host. She answered our questions quickly and she was so helpful and friendly. I loved seeing all the pictures that were on this listing so that we could get a “feel” for this home. I would rate this an A+ stay! We made many memories here! Thank you, Dawn!

we spent a nice time , location is intresting for go to fishing around. 5 mitute to market and Soldotona dowtown near to Kenai and Kalisof river ( 20 minutes) for sure place to comeback for other fishing trip, barbecue present and plesure to use frendly. Thank Torry for all very aprecied 😊

My stay here was magical. It was the right amount of rustic with all the comforts of home. The view of the lake and sunsets was tranquil. The place stayed warm even on the coldest night. The place was clean and comfortable. The host was respectful and responsive with lots of recommendations on local activities. We were able to use the community pool and gym, which was included and so great on the rainy days. If you have kids make sure to take them to the community pool! We were by some great fishing spots too. I would come back and stay here again and again.

My stay here was fantastic! The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. We were especially impressed with the proximity to the beach and fishing accommodations and how central it is on the Kenai Peninsula. We had several day trips planned to Seward, Homer, and Ninilchik and had no problems getting to any of those towns from the cabin. The wildlife here is spectacular. Moose, eagles, ravens, and magpies frequent the area, very cool to see in person! The beach has great fishing. We were here too late in the season for dip netting, but caught several large halibut right from the shore. The host had many great recommendations for local food and outings and we really had a blast! I would 100% recommend staying here!

This is a very nice cabin in a magical location. It worked perfectly for us but may be a little out of the way for those in Alaska purely for fishing. The water view is amazing. There is an on-site groundskeeper who goes out of his way to keep everything clean and in great condition. We will be back.
