we had a fantastic stay here. the cottage is beautiful, the garden with pod is perfect to enjoy the local scenery. it was the best sleep I've had in months, so quiet! John was always on hand if neded and very friendly & helpful. we felt very welcome. the cottage has everything you need and more!! I especially loved the history of the house and the way if was decorated/accessorised. my daughter absolutely loved it!! she is 10 and was very sad to leave. I'm certain we will return! the pub up the road was amazing...a lovely walk for tea! food was delicious and very good value. I would highly recommend this cottage and can't wait to come back. thank you John for being a wonderful host and letting us share in the history of this magnificent building.

We (2 adult humans, 2 small dogs) stayed at Lisa’s place to celebrate new year. It was our first visit to Kelbrook and we very much enjoyed the local restaurants and many wonderful walks nearby. Caterpillar Cottage is such a cosy place to stay. It was exactly as described and was more than adequately furnished- perfect for what we were seeking. The home was clean, seating and bedding comfortable and ample space for us to enjoy our stay. The Wi-Fi didn’t work brilliantly for us but we visited during very stormy weather and assume that is the reason for any signal issues. We intended to go off grid during our visit so this wasn’t a major problem for us. Lisa herself was very responsive to messages- usually replying within minutes and was very pleasant to communicate with. 5* review- would definitely recommend Caterpillar Cottage.

Well equipped. Small but really good bathroom. Lovely bedding. Good base for exploring Lancashire and Yorkshire.
