Modern Japanese Farmhouse Experience

PhilippeRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We loved it. The house is huge, well equipped and everything was clean. You do need a car but it’s easy to get around. Ryo communicated extremely well (in English) and gave great recommandations. We would go back again.

Whole Old Folk House Plan [GAMP HOUSE] Authentic

DavidRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This place was great and the owner was really accommodating. I only regret that we couldn't have stayed a bit longer and gotten to know everyone better, as we were only there for a night and we were out most of the day. Next time we're in Fukushima I'd love to stay here again.

Miyazaki san was super nice and the place is very good. Though the door can’t be locked it didn’t feel unsafe in Karuizawa area. Food was also great and the amount is enough. Highly recommend this place for foreign travellers.

During Golden Week, the traffic jam was more than I expected, but my schedule changed a lot, but I still didn't have a bad face and welcomed me warmly. It was very interesting and inspiring to hear various stories in the same international marriage situation. Thank you for making my stay very comfortable.😊✨

Artistically renovated Akiya, entire home

航大Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was a last-minute reservation, but they handled it very nicely. Everything you need for a barbecue, such as plates, nets, and charcoal, was provided, so I was able to visit with peace of mind. Also, it was helpful that the refrigerator and other items were in a position where you could touch them with your shoes on. It took time to boil the water for the open-air bath, but it was a very nice experience. The house itself had a very good atmosphere and was clean, so we had a pleasant stay.

Private cottage in a forest with BBQ and bonfire

RyuichiRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I stayed here to focus on some work on my laptop, and it was perfect — super quiet and private, with almost no one around. There weren’t any supermarkets or convenience stores nearby, which was a bit inconvenient, but it wouldn’t have been a problem if I had a car. Since it’s pretty deep in the mountains, next time I’d like to come with a car or a bike! The Wi-Fi was great too — I got 76Mbps download speed on the Fast speed test, so everything ran really smoothly. I’d definitely come back! 🫶❤️✨

Five Peaks Jigokudani

ColbyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable and quite a large house. It was also nice that there was a yard that we could hang out in. We also love that it was only a 10 minute walk to the entrance of the snow monkey park, which made it really easy to go see them. Lots of great little restaurants within walking distance as well. Great communication from Daniel And. We will definitely recommend this day to someone trying to enjoy a smaller area outside of Nagano and next to nature.

Isumi Shikinokya Enersawa: 15 minutes by car to the sea! A house in a rural area where you can enjoy the countryside and the sea

SaoriRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was a space where you could heal just by looking at the beautiful rice fields and mountains in front of you, and the large panorama that spreads out from the living room. I took my 99-year-old grandmother and 77-year-old mother, and they were both very satisfied. The house was clean and had everything you needed. It was difficult to eat out, so I cooked various things, but there was nothing inconvenient. The bath was also spacious and relaxing. A total of 6 people from 4 generations enjoyed it. The garden was also well maintained. There were plum and chestnut trees, so it was fun just to look at them.

The kitchen had everything we needed, including dishes, pots, and Saran wrap, which was very helpful!Communication with the host was smooth, and it was helpful that they gave us information about the neighborhood. I want to use it again.

Our stay at Mayuko's place was amazing. The house is autenthic and spacious, on a quiet and beautiful location. The garden is very pretty with a river next to it. It's perfect for walking around. We felt at home. The Nagano prefecture is one of the best and we would be happy to stay again! Mayuko is a very nice host and very responsive. Recommend.
