Houseboat vacation rentals in Kaag en Braassem

We had a lovely time on Peter's houseboat. The location is great. Only a 15 minute walk to the station and the center yet incredibly peaceful. Everything we needed was available and we enjoyed the first rays of the spring sun on the dock in front of the houseboat. The daily visit from a group of geese was quite the highlight for our little boy. Peter welcomed us when we first arrived and was very accommodating and responsive to our questions. We explored the corners of Utrecht and beyond with the bike and can only recommend this lovely city. So many beautiful historic buildings, lovely canals and quaint little cafes and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Our family loved our stay on Tante Piet in Amsterdam! It was a great way to stay in Amsterdam like a local. The boat was comfortable for two adults and two children (our kids are 12 and 8 and were very comfortable). It was great to have a nice outdoor seating area to spend evenings and one night we used the grill to make dinner. The beds were comfortable for sleeping and the bathrooms were nice. If anyone is worried about feeling movement while on the water, worry not. You don't feel it at all. Siet (+ hubby Frank) is an amazing host. She was friendly with our kids and had great recos on things to do and restaurants to eat at. There were some minor issues – such as the internet going out one day and a power outage another day. But Siet proactively addressed these issues immediately with us and got them corrected as soon as possible ... sometimes before we even realized there was an issue, haha! Staying in this house boat made for a memorable part of our trip to a great city.

Excellent séjour chez marie Louise ! Une belle personne et une maison sur l'eau incroyablement mignonne avec tout ce qu'il faut à côté d'Amsterdam accessible en 15min en voiture (nous avons opté pour un parking RAI europaplein et nous avons pris le métro jusqu'au centre d'Amsterdam) malheureusement les P+R étaient très souvent inaccessible donc on a du payer 35€la journée de parking + les trajets metro mais on sy attendait.. J'espère pouvoir revenir un jour !

Great view of the water, bed was different but very comfy. Host went out of her way to add welcome sign so that was amazing. We would definitely recommend this place and would book again!

If you are tired of the usual hotels or vacation rental apartments, I can't imagine a better place to stay. I've been fortunate to travel many places and I almost always book a private VRBO or Air BnB and this houseboat probably ranks as one of my favorites. If you really want to experience Amsterdam first hand and feel like a local celebrity, stay here, you will know what I mean... When we come back to Amsterdam, and I'm sure we will, we will definitely find a date to travel when this super cool place is available to stay.

Perfect location, unique way to stay in the city. Would highly recommend. Very different experience, of course, than a home or hotel but this makes travel more fun. Being right on the "skinny" bridge was a fantastic experience. Great for people watching or just quickly being right in the middle of everything.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

Logement très paisible, les seuls bruits que vous entendrez seront ceux des canards et des oies. Le logement est fidèle à la description. Tout le nécessaire est présent pour passer un agréable séjour. Carla est très réactive. Elle nous a accueilli à notre arrivée et nous avait prévu des petites douceurs, ce que nous avons trouvé très sympathique. Nous recommandons fortement et referont certainement un nouvel escale lorsque nous reviendrons dans le pays!

If you are looking to stay on the river in a quiet neighbourhood - on a house boat - it doesn't get better than this. I loved waking up, peering out onto the water. Each morning the rowers are out, people running along the riverbank - it's incredibly peaceful yet full of life. This is a real boat, not a floating house so you have to navigate different levels inside, getting on and off the boat etc. All part of the charm. Martin is a fabulous host. Note: this is the old school airbnb of old - its Martin's home, beautifully appointed, spacious and generously kitted out - with the comfort of a 'lived in' feel. The upper deck is just delightful, full of light and windows and you can sit with your coffee and watch the river-world go by. The area is surrounded by park, but just nearby is a lovely high-street with shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and deli's. Trams will take directly into the centre of Amsterdam - everything you need - highly recommended!

wir (4 Personen) haben uns im Hausboot von Jules sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Hausboot ist ausreichend groß und gut ausgestattet. Es ist alles genau wie beschrieben mit sehr gutem Parkplatz direkt am Boot. Das Hausboot ist sehr zu empfehlen. Es ist ein etwas anderer Urlaub. wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

Amazing place. Great location. Memorable view. Elizabeth is a great host who made us feel welcomed and at home. She provided all instructions clearly and was very friendly. The place tempted us to stay longer indoors as you have the canal right by the window and a decking to enjoy the sunshine outside. Definitely recommend this place and the host

Wir waren für ein langes Wochenende im Hausboot Nummer 6 und damit sehr zufrieden. Die wenigen Boote die tagsüber vorbeifahren stören nicht, ansonsten ist kein anderes Hausboot in direkter Blickrichtung und man ist wirklich autark von allem. Wir hatten kurz Probleme mit dem Backofen und der Toilette, auf unsere Nachrichten wurde schnell reagiert und es kam ein Techniker vorbei. Zum Saisonstart kann das schon mal passieren und es hat unserer Erholung keinen Abbruch getan. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft und sehr schön eingerichtet. Man hatte alles da, was man braucht, um sich selbst zu versorgen und eine schöne Zeit zu haben. Von Aalsmeer aus lassen sich schöne Tagesausflüge unternehmen. Die Organisation durch Mandy war super :-)

Wir waren mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern (11 + 13 Jahr) für ein verlängertes Wochenende auf dem Hausboot. Es war wirklich ein großer Spaß! Besonders für die zwei Teenager. Das Hausboot ist neu, sauber und mit dem kleinen Beiboot (Tender) die Gegend zu erkunden war für alle ein tolles Erlebnis. Zu empfehlen ist allerdings ein Mückennetz für das Bett. Auch im Oktober ist es noch warm genug im Boot und der kleine Ofen (Pellet) reicht für diese Jahreszeit völlig aus. Der Preis ist in Ordnung, denn das Hausboot zu unterhalten, scheint mir doch recht aufwendig.

Wundervoller Aufenthalt im Hausboot! Unser Aufenthalt im Hausboot war einfach traumhaft! Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist unschlagbar 😍❤️Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und bietet alles, was man für eine entspannte Auszeit braucht. Besonders gefallen hat uns die gemütliche Terrasse, auf der man perfekt frühstücken oder den Sonnenuntergang genießen kann. Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit erreichbar. Wir kommen definitiv wieder – absolute Empfehlung!

I had the pleasure of staying at the Surla Houseboat for two nights, and I must say, it was absolutely spiffing! From the moment we stepped aboard, we knew we were in for a great experience. The view from the boat was simply marvellous, providing a picturesque backdrop that made us feel like we were in a postcard. Our stay was nearly perfect, save for a minor hiccup with an appliance that went on strike after a power cut. However, a quick call to the host resolved our woes. The host was remarkably attentive and sprang into action like a superhero in a cape (well, not literally, but you get the picture). Thankfully, the stunning environment and the overall experience more than made up for the temporary blip in appliance functionality. Wendy, the lovely host who introduced us to the houseboat, was incredibly nice. She gave us a detailed tour and explained everything with such precision that it

Wij hebben een prachtig weekend gehad op de boot van Robbert. Makkelijke aankomst, zeer mooi verblijf, superrustig en alles wat je nodig hebt aan boord! 100% aanrader als je een rustig weekendje in de natuur en op het water zoekt. Zou het zeker opnieuw doen!

Mandy ist eine sehr liebevolle Vermieterin die ihr Hausboot sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet hat. Wir hatte eine schöne Zeit. Wir konnten auch unser mitgebrachtes SUP benutzen welches jeden Morgen zum Einsatz kam. Wir danken der Mandy auch für einen sehr aufmerksamen Willkommensgruß mit einer Flasche Wein und was Süßem. Leider muss aber erwähnt werden, dass uns durch den Fluglärm die Morgenstunden geraubt wurden. Wer allerdings um sieben schon wach ist dem sollte es weniger stören.;)

Anne ist eine sehr liebe Gastgeberin, die rasch auf Fragen ect. reagiert. Die Unterkunft ist durch die Lage auf Wasser ganz besonders. Die Beschreibung "2 Schlafzimmer" ist etwas irritierend, wenn man dann feststellt, dass es sich nicht um zwei separate Räume handelt. Zumal auch noch Waschbecken und Dusche - offen - integriert sind. Wir waren mit guten Freunden unterwegs und haben uns arrangiert. Intimsphäre muss man etwas großzügiger auslegen ;o)!!! Ansonsten ist das Waterloft liebevoll eingerichtet, die Küche gut ausgestattet. Alles ist geordnet und einwandfrei sauber. Nach einem tollen aber anstrengenden Städtetag in Amsterdam (ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt) war die ruhige Lage des Waterlofts erholsam entspannend. Von uns auf jedem Fall uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!
