Nestled in the sleepy little town of Hematite, Missouri, Creek View Cottage is located within a 10-acre property known affectionately by the owners as Happy Camp. Stretched out beside almost a mile of shoreline on the spring-fed Joachim Creek - nature lovers will want to explore! Cool your feet in the creek while soaking up the sun in an Adirondack chair on a gravel bar, Campfires, BBQ Grills, Kayaks, Cooler, - come Relax & get your 'Camp' on!

Hand Built Log Cabin

This cabin was completed in 1940 by previous owner's grandmother with only the help of her horses. The wood was cut from the property. Originally it had no electric or plumbing, we updated it more in 2021 keeping as much original as possible. Rustic cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with walk-in shower only, washer and dryer, full eat in kitchen and living room. On site you can relax watching horses, mini horses, goats, chickens & ducks as well as wild life. You can feed and pet the 🐐 goats.

This newly remodeled 2 bedroom house is an ideal choice for guests looking to explore the beauty of Bonne Terre, attend weddings and local events, or visit Fyre Lake Winery, which is only a mile away. You'll find two comfortable bedrooms - one with a king-size bed and the other with a full-size bed - providing a peaceful retreat after a day of adventure. Additionally, Bonne Terre Mines are conveniently located just 16 minutes away, making it a perfect spot to stay while exploring the area.

FUNKS INN-no extra guest fees or cleaning fee

This house was built in 1870, it is a stone structure and was used as a family farm home. It has been remodeled for its use today. It is historically correct, which includes antiques of the time. Post Civil War era, furniture including the beds of this period. Another interesting aspect, is that the floors are all original. Mattresses, blankets pillows, bedding and towels are all new. The wine cellar that we have added, made on location. I always leave some out for guests. No fee.

Guests have full access to the cabin and outdoor space. Parking is available on-site and a key pad makes check-in a breeze. * THERE IS NO RIVER ACCESS

Explore 10 acres or wind down on the deck before relaxing in the *NEW* hot tub. The cabin inside has a very minimalistic design featuring on the first floor an electric fireplace, air conditioner, table, refrigerator, leather futon couch, kitchenette with a hand crank water pump sink, axe throwing and porta-potty bathroom.
