Vacation rentals with a fire pit in James River

Beautiful home, very clean with plenty of space for a family to relax. The location was a quiet, upscale neighborhood close to restaurants and businesses when needed. we will definitely choose them again.

Home was beautiful off of a quiet country road. The home comes with coffee pods for the coffee machine, she supplies some laundry detergent and plenty of towels. Also has a baby gate for the stairs and a baby high chair and pack n play thought to be pretty amazing for families. Beds are full and comfy. I rented to work for the week local and coming home to this home I literally felt like I was coming home to my own house every night. Marcia is pretty amazing she will communicate with you very nicely and help any way she can. Absolutely recommend her and her home. I have many many more jobs to do in that area this summer and will definitely be using her home as my stay

This area was really cute. The house was very well equipped, lots of additional items that made the stay pleasurable. The house and amenities appear fairly new and in great shape.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay it was very comfortable and clean. I appreciated the parking was very spacious. The area was so beautiful and so close to everything we wanted to do like Wood Grill in Charlottesville, luray caverns, and Fellowship Baptist church in Madison. Such a great time and experience and a great getaway from Southern California.

This is an excellent location for a big family getaway to the lake. We loved the big yard and the deck, as well as the dock area to sit. My kids raved about the comfy beds, and the couches made for good sleep too for teens who love to stay up late and chat. Every cooking utensil or appliance imaginable which made cooking for our crew awesome! Thank you for a relaxing stay.

Great find. close to everything. Even tho my work trip got cut short this was a good place to stay while in the area.

Our very first lake stay and it exceeded our expectations. Irene is an incredibly friendly, responsive, accommodating and generous host. The Cardinal Cove made for a great stay including comfy beds, fluffy towels and even pantry extras. The waterfront view and lake access were highlights for us and we took full advantage of fishing and kayaking, literally from 7:00am to 7:00pm. We got groceries from Food Lion right after we checked in and we never left the property until we checked out. It was nice to have eggs and pancakes available for breakfast (courtesy of Irene) and to use the grill and enjoy lunch on the patio. Friendly neighbors, serene surroundings, we look forward to coming back!

Quick but sweet trip to visit with my LU freshman. Anna and Nate's place was less than 10 minutes from campus. Their place was perfect for my husband and I. Will definitely stay again!

This is our third time staying here! Perfect weekend getaway location to hike, see the stars, and enjoy the company of friends.

I stayed for four nights solo and it was perfect. I did a small load of laundry. Could reheat leftovers, and work from home. Good setup since I brought a few things with me. Walkable to restaurants (less than a mile) but bring a few things and it’s great!

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!"

The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

We have stayed at Lake O'the Woods before at Clementine's cabin so this time we opted for Henry's cabin. It did not disappoint! We were looking for something peaceful and away from the city and that's what Henry's offered. The place was cozy and comfortable with an amazing view of the lake and the horse paddock. The kitchen had enough supplies to make our meals and the bathroom was very well stocked. We enjoyed the privacy and the great view of the stars since there's very little light pollution from city lights. We look forward to returning again!

I recently stayed at the Carlin cabin Airbnb and it was a delightful experience. The cabin was incredibly clean and had a charming, rustic feel with all the beautiful wood accents. It truly felt like a cozy retreat. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious cinnamon rolls they provided; they were a perfect addition to my mornings. Overall, I highly recommend the Carlin cabin for anyone looking for a cute and comfortable getaway!

This cabin was wonderful! So cozy, nice touches, clean, great amenities! Definitely one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. On top of that, Sherilynn was very accommodating of our schedule and needs with a baby. We had such a nice stay.

We enjoyed our peaceful stay at the yurt. The views were beautiful. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of wood was provided for the fire pit. Douglas was promptly responsive if I had a question. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back again.

We had a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Would recommend to anyone wanting to unplug and enjoy nature. Lot's to do at the site with walking trails, disc golf and a fire pit.

I booked this for a weekend retreat for my boyfriend's birthday and Rocreek cabin was everything we could have hoped for!! The location was secluded, serine and just LOVELY!!! The small details in the cabin were soooo perfect and just added to the experience. I love that she labeled towels for the furbabies and also had bowls for them. Our favorite part was the waterfall out back!! Having the window open above the bed and being able to listen to that while we slept was soooo relaxing!!! I also got Rhonda to bake a cake for my boyfriend's birthday and it was delicious!! $25 well spent and it was waiting in the fridge when we got there. Loved the area, as there was so much to do and see! Hiking sharp top, which was 15 mins away, was AMAZING. We also enjoyed the D-Day Memorial, which was also within 20 mins. Bedford is sooo quaint and cute!! This property and the area is a must see!!! Thank you both for being such AMAZING hosts.
